Hand Stamped Saint Patrick’s Day Tote Craft

I don’t know about your kids but, ours are always wanting to get the paints out and craft! I prefer having a craft in mind when we paint that is simple and cleans up quickly. This St. Patrick’s Day Tote Craft is it! There are only a few things they need to get going and you can start them out and let them roll! We love to use puffy paint too, just a little goes a long way! Start with the lightest green and then finish with the darker. Have fun!

Materials:

Small white 6×6″ totes
Puffy paint (green & neon green)
Small wooden handle from a foam paint brush
Paper plate
Clover template here
6×6″ piece of card stock

Directions:

Place a piece of card stock into your small tote.
Print and Cut out your clover template.
Place your clover on top of the bag.
Place or pour a small amount of your puffy paints onto your paper plate.
Hold the clover with one hand and dip your wooden handle in the neon green paint and press all around your clover.
Now switch colors and repeat step 5.
After you make sure that every spot directly around your Clover is covered starter dotting all around the front of the bag.
Let your bag dry for about 12 hours or until it is completely dry and stuff with your favorite goodies.

Valentine Pillow Box Printable

We love this Pillow Box Template. It’s so easy to print, fold and fill! Give your sweetie chocolates, tart candies or maybe a gift card to their favorite ice cream shop or coffee spot. Anyway you fill it, they will love it! As far as Valentine’s go, it’s fairly gender neutral so, a gentlemen or your little guy will enjoy it just as well as your wife, friend or favorite girl. We also use this template for Spring treat giving too!

Supplies:

Valentine Pillow Box Printable (see below)
Cardstock

Get this pillow box printable and all of Frugal Coupon Living’s Free Printables. Enter your name and email address and we will send you a link and password for access to your free downloads.

Directions:

Download the Valentine Pillow Box Printable (above).
Fill the printer with cardstock and print out (the craft works fine with regular paper, but cardstock holds best).
Cut out the template.
Roll and place glue on the gray “glue here” tab.
Hold and set. We suggest making sure the glue is truly dry. Let the pillow box sit awhile while the glue continues to dry.
Once the glue is try, fold in the edges. Fill with candy or sweet Valentine notes.

Homemade Valentine Owl Craft

We’ve made the You’re a HOOT Owl Valentine before, and we wanted to do it again! With a few simple supplies you can make a bunch of these adorable owls. When choosing your paper, have each child pick out their own pattern of paper to individualize them! If you want to make these to give for a Valentine, fill it with candy and seal the bottom well. Your little Valentine will love to get one of these too cute owls!

Supplies:

Used Toilet Paper Rolls
Construction, scrapbook or craft Paper
Googly Eyes
Scissors
Glue, I used Modge Podge
Ribbon if you would like to hang

Directions:

Cut Paper to the width of your toilet paper roll.
Wrap paper around toilet paper roll and adhere with Modge Podge or glue.
Fold sides in to enclose top of toilet paper roll.
Add Googly Eyes with Adhesive.
Cut beak shape out of construction paper and adhere.
Cut heart shapes out of construction paper for wings and adhere to sides.
Adhere ribbon to top to form a loop for hanging (optional).

Valentine Luminaries Mason Jar Craft

What could be more festive for Valentine’s Day than hearts and glitter? These little jars are perfect for a dining table to illuminate a romantic dinner or to dress up your mantle with candlelight. Why not set a few out on your front porch to light up a path to your home. They would also be a precious gift filled with chocolates, your favorite candy or maybe a pedicure kit!

Materials:

2 empty mason jars
2 vinyl heart stickers
Extra fine pink glitter
Mod podge
Foam paint brush
2 battery operated flameless candles
Optional: colorful string or ribbon

Directions:

Place your heart stickers onto the center of your mason jars
Using your foam paint brush, paint your glass jars with mod podge
Pour glitter on a piece of paper and roll your pod podge covered glass jar on the glitter
Sprinkle the glitter (over a garbage can of course) onto the parts of your glass jar that got missed
Tie a colorful strand of string or ribbon around the top of your jars
Turn on your flameless candles and place them into the jars and watch them glow

Easy-peasy.

Snowman Milk Bottles

Do you wanna build a snowman? These happy snowmen are just the thing to add to your brunch table for the kiddos or why not host a Christmas cookies and milk party and offer these bottles of cuteness with your sweet treats! Have the kids personalize them with their favorite colors and icing. How ever you serve them, they’re sure to delight!

Ingredients:

3 9.5oz empty Starbucks Frappuccino bottles
Milk (to fill bottles)
3 Mini Donuts
3 Decorative Straws
Felt to make scarves
Sixlets or other shiny candy balls
Black Gel Icing
Orange starburst (for noses)
1/4 cup White Candy Melts

Directions:

Cut felt into 1″ strip and wrap around neck of bottle as scarf.
Fasten in place with glue.
Heat White Candy Chips in small bowl by microwaving for 30 seconds stirring and repeating until melted.
using a toothpick place drops of candy on front of bottle to act as glue and place sixlets as buttons.
Allow to set.
Carefully push straw through mini donut.
Using black icing make dots for eyes and mouth.
Cut Starburst into thirds. Then cut each of these diagonally and roll with fingers to form carrot noses.
Dip end or carrot noses in white chocolate and place in center of donuts.
Allow to set.
Fill bottles with milk, and insert straw.
