Ready to create memorable Easter traditions with large or small groups? These Egg-cellent Easter Games can be paired with Easter egg hunts, Easter parties and gatherings, or used as a family minute to win it challenge.

Eggcellent Easter Games

Easter Egg Games | Easter Party, Egg Hunt, Family Traditions & More

Does Easter ever free like a neglected holiday to you? As a Christian, Easter is truly the most important holiday. It feels as though there is little build up to the actual day and very little more than a visit to church and an Easter Egg Hunt.

What do you do on Easter?

Beyond the traditional Easter egg hunt and visit to church, consider a new Easter Tradition with Easter games. If you wish to turn Easter into a greater celebration, take a look at these Easter Games for Adults, Kids, Families, Friends, Small Groups, and Large Gatherings. It fits a small family of three and a large crowd of dozens.

The year Easter was cancelled (the year we must not named), we decide to twist up the traditional Easter ideas. Instead of attending a large Easter Egg Hunt at Church, we had our own small family Easter Egg hunt. My older kids hid Easter Eggs for the younger kids and after finding our eggs, everyone filled their stomachs with jelly beans and chocolate (gross – does that idea of that make anyone else sick?)

Well it didn’t make my kids sick. Instead it made all five kids excitable on a lot of sugar. We created a new Easter Family tradition by playing outdoor Easter games. It was a beautiful day and I was all about running off the steam and enjoying the beautiful blue sky day.

What are some fun Easter games?

This list of Easter game ideas include Traditional Easter Games. What are traditional Easter games? Some examples of traditional games include the law Easter Egg Roll. Read more about that below but basically try to roll a raw egg across a finish line with your nose or a spoon. You also could turn a ball toss into a carrot toss or play pin the tail on the bunny (similar to pin the tail on the donkey game.)

We also have examples of Unique Easter Games like Easter bowling lined with brightly colored pool noodles and adorable bunny bowling pins.

And for the Minute to Win It Games lovers (raising my hand), take a look at some Minute to Win It Easter games including Jelly Bean Pick-up or Spoon Full of Sugar. You can print our full list of 18 Minute to Win It Game Instructions PDF and supply list.

Adoption Party Ideas

Adoption Party Ideas - Adoption Quotes, Adoption Photo Ideas, Adoption Themes

Fostering? Adopting? Celebrating a new child? These Adoption party Ideas, themed celebrations, books and photo ideas will help make your “Gotcha Day” extra special and memorable.

What is Gotcha Day?

“Gotcha day” is the term used for a date of adoption when a person joins a family. Adoptive families can celebrate the day of an adoption or celebrate yearly on an anniversary date.

Before beginning the process of planning an adoption shower or party, it’s best to talk to the adoptive parents about their feelings and terms or phrases they might find offensive. For example, consider the trending adoption term called “Gotcha Day.”

Adoption is not like a puppy being picked up from a pound. There are many family members and feelings involved. Many branches of the family tree that are affected. See how this family Celebrations Adoption Day and replaces the term Gotcha Day with Finalization Day. Alternative names include homecoming day, family day or, of course, adoption day.

December 13, 2020 by Ashley at Frugal Coupon Living Filed Under: Baby, Facebook, Instagram, Parenting, Party, Pinterest, Social Media 2 Comments

If you aren’t waiting until  birth to find out the sex of your baby, take a look at these incredible Gender Reveal Party Ideas. Creative and unique gender reveal ideas that incorporate pink or blue, he or she. Smoke bombs, confetti, balloon pops, and surprise boxes. Get ready for the excitement!

Gender Reveal Party Ideas

Well I couldn’t start this post without sharing our Twins Gender Reveal. We had a big family gathering and my husband I knew the genders (no one else did.) I guess when it’s baby 4/5 you give up on keeping it a secret from yourself, too. Plus, being older I had blood work which revealed things early.

For this gender revel we used this exact set of Gender Reveal Confetti Poppers. I went ahead and purchased them on my own. We made a circle around the table and our extended family did it together on the count of three. I love the faces of my girls seeing that we were having two MORE younger brothers. I got a shoulder shrug and a foot stop after this photo but they wouldn’t change it today for the world – wink!

If you are hosting a Baby Shower with this gender reveal, save this Baby Shower Games printable as seen in our list of Baby Shower Games & Printables. It’s a great way to get your crew engaged and having fun.

November 29, 2020 by Ashley at Frugal Coupon Living Filed Under: Facebook, Instagram, Party, Pinterest, Seasonal, Social Media Leave a Comment

New Years Eve Ideas for Kids

New Year's Eve Party Ideas for Kids

Anyone else ready to jump into the new year…. see you later, 2020! Bring on 2021. Let’s home for something different. Whether you are celebrating 2021, 2022 (or whatever year we might now be in), we have some of the best New Year’s Eve Ideas for Kids. These can be for toddlers who are in bed with the sun or for older kids who will welcome in the new year at midnight. And let’s be honest, these fun activities and ideas are for adults too. Create family traditions with these New Year’s Eve ideas for kids (and adults too)!

Happy New Year!

Tips for Young Kids: Toddlers and young children do not have to stay up until midnight. You can still reenact a countdown just in a shorter period of time. For example, make the hour change every 10 mintues or 30 minutes based on when you start and want to end. Obviously, they have no idea of the real time. It can still be a memorable day and family tradition with earlier hours.

New Year's Eve Charades Printable & Rules

New Year Celebrations have to include a memorable game. We created this New Year’s Eve Charades Game. We included 18 charades cards as well as 9 fill in the blank cards. You can print the blank cards as much as you want created as large of a game as you need or want. In your blank cards add either family memories (if playing with your immediate family) or add trending year events (if playing with a larger group of friends.)

New Years Eve Party Charades Game Printable

How to Play Charades

Charades can be played with any type of word or phrase. There are two sets of rules for charades games. You can play based on points or based on time.

Charades based on points

Split into two teams. On each teams turn, one person acts out a topic for their teammates to guess.  They cannot use any words. Use a clock to track the time, giving each person two to three minutes for their turn. If the team guesses the charade in a set amount of time, give the team one point. If they do not guess correctly, they get zero points added to their score. At the end of all the rounds, the team with the most points wins.

Charades based on time

Split into two teams. On each teams turn, one person acts out a topic for their teammates to guess.  They cannot use any words. Use a clock to track the time, giving each person two to three minutes for their turn. If the team guesses the charade in a set amount of time, at that time is added to their score.  If they do not guess correctly, the full time is added to their score. At the end of all the rounds, the team with the shortest time wins.
