New Years Eve Party Charades Game Printable

How to Play Charades

Charades can be played with any type of word or phrase. There are two sets of rules for charades games. You can play based on points or based on time.

Charades based on points

Split into two teams. On each teams turn, one person acts out a topic for their teammates to guess.  They cannot use any words. Use a clock to track the time, giving each person two to three minutes for their turn. If the team guesses the charade in a set amount of time, give the team one point. If they do not guess correctly, they get zero points added to their score. At the end of all the rounds, the team with the most points wins.

Charades based on time

Split into two teams. On each teams turn, one person acts out a topic for their teammates to guess.  They cannot use any words. Use a clock to track the time, giving each person two to three minutes for their turn. If the team guesses the charade in a set amount of time, at that time is added to their score.  If they do not guess correctly, the full time is added to their score. At the end of all the rounds, the team with the shortest time wins.

Yay, it’s New Year’s Eve! Let’s have some treasure hunt fun. You first clue can be found where all the cooking gets done. (Kitchen or stove.)

Do you eat black eyed peas for a little luck? Find the next clue by the trash, before it ends up in the garbage truck. (Trash can.)

What are the rules for this scavenger hunt list?

The rule is that there are no rules! Well, maybe one…no cheating is the biggest rule. Work together or alone, and see who can solve the riddles and find all the clues. Along the way of the treasure hunt, you can have small prizes or candy. Alternatively, save the biggest prize for the end of the hunt. Perhaps a fun New Year Gift. You could even make the prize an experience like a family trip that will be taken next year (which is basically… tomorrow!)

Who are these Treasure Hunt Clues for?

Toddlers: When doing this new year treasure hunt with toddlers, pair the child with older kids, or an adult, to guide them through the riddle clues. As hints, you can also have pictures of each item featured in the clues.

Teens: Youth and older kids can also enjoy this treasure hunt. Split them up in pairs, print the file twice and set the timer. The mission is to be the child that runs the race with the shortest time limit. The winner gets a trophy (which isn’t really a trophy – just all the glory and boast) which means so much to any teen!

Adults: Why not? Take on your inner youth and go on on a scavenger hunt around the home. The rewards are small bottles of liquor or maybe one pound lost at each new clue…. man, I would be running that race fast! But really, if doing this hunt for a significant other, you could make it sweet and have a photo of memorable events of the past year. It create a cute and instant photo album. Toast with Champagne glasses at the end.

Looking for midnight kisses this New Year’s Eve? We love these easy and free midnight kisses printable for your next New Year’s Eve Party. It’s a great way to spread kiss through a chocolate high over sharing winter germs! Enjoy!

Supplies:

  • Hershey Kisses
  • Card Stock or Sticky Paper (we use the Avery Round Candy Labels – 41568)
  • Scissors
  • .75 Circle Punch (if you choose not use the scissors)
  • Glue Stick (if you choose not use the sticky paper)

Directions:

  1. Open your printable in your PDF viewer.
  2. Print and place on kisses.

We print on Avery Round Candy Labels (41568). If you are using the circle punch cutting each row into strips is suggested to make the cutting process more successful. You can cut each circle out individually or use a circle punch. If you print on the card stock you will need glue to apply to the paper to attach to the Hershey Kiss.
