Twister Cake

Right hand on red, left foot on yellow! Does this sound like a familiar board game? Growing up, I used to love to play Twister! Players always ended up in the craziest positions, would fall to the ground, and we all would explode in laughter. This Twister Cake is perfect for a family game night, kid’s birthday party, or perhaps something as small as having a friend over.

Ingredients:

1 1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter
2 large eggs
1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 cup milk
Creamy vanilla frosting
Pre-made Red, blue, green, and yellow fondant (we got this one!)
Small 1″ circle cookie cutter

Directions:

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and grease a 8 x 8″ cake pan with a non stick cooking spray.
In a large mixing bowl, beat together your sugar and butter.
Then mix in your vanilla extract and eggs one at a time.
Now mix in your flour, baking powder, and milk.
Pour your thick creamy batter into your pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, checking at 25 with a clean tooth pick.
Let your cake cool and transferred to a cake platter.
Frost with a creamy vanilla frosting.
Roll out each color fondant in between two pieces of parchment paper and use a circle cookie-cutter to cut out four circles from each color (a total of 16 circles).
Place your fun in circles on top of your cake like a twister mat: red, yellow, blue, and green columns.

Polar Bear Paw Cupcakes

How fun and easy is this? These Polar Bear Paw Cupcakes are perfect for over the holiday season. Use your favorite box of chocolate cake mix, some vanilla frosting, coconut flakes, York Peppermint Patties, and chocolate covered raisins. Serve with our Snowman Milk Bottles. Enjoy!

Polar Bear Paw Cupcakes Recipe
Yields: 24 cupcakes
Total Time: 1 hour

Ingredients:

1 box Chocolate Cake Mix (plus required eggs, oil and water as directed on box)
White Vanilla Frosting
24 York Peppermint Patties (1 per cupcake)
Chocolate covered raisins (3 per cupcake)
1.5 cups shredded coconut

Directions:

Line muffin tin with 24 cupcake liners and set aside.
Preheat oven and prepare cake mix according to box directions.
Fill each cupcake liner two-thirds full with prepared cake mix. Bake as directed, then set aside to cool.
Once cooled, slather each cupcake with a thick layer of white frosting. Add the shredded coconut to a small bowl. Dip each frosted cupcake into the shredded coconut so the tops are completely covered.
Remove the wrappers from York Peppermint Patties, and add one to the bottom center of each cupcake – pressing down gently. Add three similarly sized chocolate covered raisins to each cupcake to create the toes.
Add a little extra coconut in between the “toes” and around the edges if necessary.

Snowman Cupcakes

If you are enjoying a blizzard or just enjoy the thought of snow, these snowman cupcakes are perfect for the winter season! We love the easy and cute face topper! Enjoy after school, send in for a party, or share with neighbors during a snow day!

Ingredients:

Box White Cake Mix (calls for eggs, oil, and water)
White Vanilla Marshmallow Frosting
Chocolate Chips
Betty Crocker Orange Icing Mix
Small Pretzel Sticks
Edible White Sugar Glitter
Decorating Bag
Round Tip for Icing

Directions:

Preheat your oven to 350° in line a cupcake pan with cupcake liners.
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together your cake mix, eggs, oil, and water.
Fill your cupcake liners up halfway with your cake batter and bake for 15 minutes.
Remove your cupcakes from the oven and let them cool.
Stir your can of frosting and scoop into a decorating bag, and cut the tip off the bottom of the bag.
Frost your cupcakes by drawing a swirl onto your cupcakes starting at the outside and working your way in.
Sprinkle your shimmer sugar on each cupcake.
Place your chocolate chips upside down on your cupcakes for eyes and a mouth, making sure to leave a space in the center for the nose.
Lightly press on the tip of your frosting can to draw on a carrot shaped nose under the eyes.
Now break a pretzel in half and stock each pretzel half broken side down into the top sides of the cupcakes.
