Kindness elves printable notes

With the holidays approaching, it’s the perfect time to start thinking about ways to spread some holiday cheer! One fun way to do this is with a little help from the elves. These Kindness Elves Printables are a great way to encourage your kids to be kind and do good deeds throughout the holiday season.

Pay it Forward Christmas Ideas

The holiday season is a perfect time to shower others with daily acts of kindness. You know the expression “the gift of giving.” Giving of yourself and your time really is a gift to yourself.  Teach your children the importance of serving others with Christmas pay it forward ideas.

These fun kindness elves notes can be used with or without an Elf on the Shelf. In fact, you can use the ideas to fill your home with the act of serving others not even using an Elf.

Set the Dinner Table

Pick up Trash at the Park

These are just a few of the fun 25 Christmas daily acts of kindness you can do this holiday season.

If you found showing others thoughtful gestures a bit fun, then see more ways to pay it forward with Random Acts of Kindness (RAKs) all year.

What is the Story of the Kindness Elves?

The Story of the the Kindness Elves is a book written by Anna Ranson and Benjamin Byrne. The Kindness Elves storybook introduces children to the joy that showing daily acts of kindness can bring, in whimsical and magical ways. The elves focus on love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, and goodness (which you might recognize as the Fruits of the Spirit.)

While the book is an introduction to the Kindness Elves dolls and Accessories Kit, they do not have to be used with holiday kindness gestures. The two can be separated and used individually.

Whether you believe in elves or not, kindness elves are real because acts of good gestures are real. We can all be a secret Santa or an empathetic elf with small acts of kind gestures this Christmas season.

Ways to Use the Kindness Elf on the Shelf Printable

Some say the best way to spread Christmas cheer is by singing loud for all to hear. We all know that using ones vocal chords do the loudest degree might actually do the opposite. This season, bring empathy, gratitude and (of course) holiday cheer by performing Random Acts of Kindness for Christmas.

As busy parents, sometimes it’s hard to come up with new ideas on our own. This Christmas kindness elves resource is all you need to jump start that idea. Once you print off these 25 Kindness Elves Ideas, there are several ways you can use them.

Random Acts of Kindness

Have your kids pick one random act of kindness to do each day! They can choose from the elf ideas or they can write down their own on the cards provided. This promote kindness, sharing, and gratitude in children.

Good Deed Tracker

If you have an Elf on the Shelf, you could put these papers in his backpack and have him bring one to your child each day. Your kid can then do the good deed and check it off the list with the included good deed checklist. It’s like a little book of big kindness record keeper.

Classroom Kindness Challenge

Challenge your child’s class to see who can complete the most acts of kindness! Each day, have your child write down the act of kindness they completed and then bring it back to school to add to the classroom chart. This is incredibly cute if you are a teacher doing Elf on the Shelf in the classroom. You could even make this pat of your school community and give each classroom a challenge of getting the most RAKs.

Kid’s Choice

Let your kids choose which act of kindness they want to do each day. They can mix it up and do different things or they can focus on one type of act (like always giving compliments or a smile).

Start a Kindness Chain

See how long you can keep the kindness going! After your child completes an act of kindness, have them find someone else to do something nice for. That person can then pay it forward and do something nice for someone else. Keep going to see how long the chain can be! You could incorporate this into a Christmas paper chain craft alternating festive red and green construction paper. See how long your chain can get.

Elf on the Shelf Ideas

Cut the mischief! Toss the pranks. If you have an Elf on the Shelf doll, he can deliver cards with acts of kindness kids can do each day. This could be delivered with his new location each day. You could even deliver a kindness card in the mailbox as daily mail. You could also have him do one of the acts of kindness himself and then leave a note for your child explaining what he did. Use with an Elf doll or with the original Kindness Elves Dolls. Check out more Elf on the Shelf Ideas here.

Christmas Traditions

Start a new tradition that feels a little bit more true to the celebration of the season. You can easily print off these Kindness Elves ideas and use them in your Christmas Eve traditions. We like to use the kindness ideas alongside our other Christmas traditions like Christmas pajamas, a holiday movie, or even a night before Christmas book!

Give as a Gift

If you LOVE this Kindness Elf on the Shelf printable, then you’re really going to LOVE giving it as a gift. You can package it up and give it to a friend, neighbor, or family member. It makes the perfect Christmas gift!

The holidays are a time to spread cheer and kindness, and what better way to do that than with these adorable printables? These Kindness Elves Ideas are perfect for encouraging your kids (and even adults!) to do good deeds throughout the holiday season. You can use them in several different ways, like tracking good deeds, doing random acts of kindness, or even starting a kindness chain.

Christmas parties are a great way to be festive & get in the holiday spirit. Here are some of the best kids Christmas party ideas including games, music and food. Download and print the free Christmas party printables too.

Christmas Party Ideas for KIds

Christmas is a time for family, friends, and fun. It’s also a time for giving, and what could be more fun than throwing a Christmas for the tiny people we love? But sometimes it can be hard to come up with ideas for a Christmas party for kids. If you’re stuck for party ideas, don’t worry, I’ve got you covered! I’ve put together a list of some great Christmas party ideas for kids, so you can make this holiday season extra special.

How do you make Christmas fun for kids?

The winter holiday season is great because there typically are a number of fun activities for kids in December. Create special memories by incorporating fun activities into your every day (or every weekend) calendar. This can be outdoor activities like building a DIY igloo or indoor activities like putting together gifts for your neighbors.

If you are looking for some fun Christmas ideas for the kids, try some of these ideas.

  • Host a Cookie Exchange
  • Create a Holiday Family Bucket List
  • Bake a Cake for Jesus
  • Try a New Christmas Tradition
  • Have a Gift Exchange
  • Decorate the Christmas Tree
  • Create fun Christmas Crafts
  • Write and Visit Santa
  • Have Fun Outdoors
  • Throw a Kids Christmas Party

The most important thing is to make the activity memorable. Events are most remember when they are just a little bit out of the ordinary. Not activity you do every day. Put down the electronics and everyone immerse themselves in the Christmas activity.

In this blog post, we will focus on ideas for a Kids Christmas Party. Many of these fun activities can be incorporated as entertainment.

Hosting the Perfect Kids Christmas Party

Take a deep breath. If you suffer from anxiety at the idea of having a number of people in the home, remember the perfect kids party doesn’t have a set number of party guests. Party guests can be each of your children inviting one friend. Or go large and invite the entire youth group or neighborhood.

kids Christmas party ideas

Whatever your party size, there are plenty of fun ways to enjoy a kids Christmas party. Keep it simple by planning ahead. Get together a theme, activities and entertainment and a list of fun foods to make. Cooking and baking with the kids not only bring fun food to the event, but it provides a number of holiday activities to do with the kids while prepping for the big day.

Choose a Theme

One of the best ways to make sure your party is extra fun is to choose a theme. This will help you plan the decorations, games, and activities and give the kids something to get excited about. Some great Christmas party themes for kids include ‘Ugly Christmas sweaters’, ‘Winter Wonderland,’ ‘Santa’s Workshop’, or ‘A Night at the North Pole.’

Plan Fun Activities

No party is complete without some fun activities! Why not plan some Christmas-themed games or craft activities to keep the kids entertained? Some great ideas include decorating gingerbread houses, making Christmas cards, or wrapping presents. You can even host a White Elephant Gift Exchange or incorporate a few Christmas games.

Set up a Delicious Feast

No party is complete without food! To make sure the kids are well-fed, set up a buffet of their favorite snacks and treats. These don’t have to be hard, in fact easy Christmas snacks for school party allow you to focus on other areas of the party.  For a festive touch, you could also include some Christmas-themed foods such as candy canes or gingerbread men.

kids Christmas party food ideas

Good food ideas for a kids Christmas party might include…

  • Hot Chocolate Station – This is especially great as it allows each person to personalize what they like in hot cocoa. Options include mini marshmallows, bits of peppermint candy, chocolate sprinkles, mint leaves and more.
  • Dessert Table and Cookie Table – Instead of a cookie exchange, ask party guests to bring a dessert or Christmas cookies to share. This creates less stress on the host for baking before the event.
  • Candy Bar – This is perfect for letting everyone choose their DIY snack or even make their own trail mix. It’s fitting to everyone’s taste buds, you can even use a candy bar as a resource for decorating gingerbread houses.

Children’s Christmas party food ideas are always a good idea! If you love a good food craft, check out more of these Christmas party food options. These Christmas finger food recipes are perfect for preparing ahead or making at the party as a fun Christmas activity.

Play Some Festive Music

A fun way to get everyone in the Christmas spirit is to play some festive Christmas music in the background. This will help to create a magical atmosphere and get everyone dancing along! You can incorporate classics, pop or even Christmas carols. If you can handle it,  even gather instruments and have preschoolers or younger kids make their own festive tunes for the party.

So how do you entertain kids at a Christmas party?

Entertainment Ideas for a Kids Christmas Party

Now that you have a few good ideas of “how” to throw a Christmas party for kids, you can use these entertainment ideas for a kid’s party! My favorite children’s Christmas party entertainment ideas are listed below:

No. The answer is no. No you cannot touch the Elf on the Shelf. No.

you elf on the shelf be touched

The Elf on the Shelf requires magic to return home to the North Pole each evening. Because human touch causes magic lost, you cannot touch the Elf on the Shelf. It is important to share this Elf Rule with your child immediately upon Elf adoption. If it is Christmas Eve, you can touch the Elf on the Shelf on the last night. Because Santa brings Elf on the Shelf home on Christmas Eve, Elf does not need magic this evening to return to the North Pole. He/She will get a ride on Santa’s sleigh.

Your child can place their handprint right in the center of the snow globe to show Santa where they live! You can jazz up this cute Christmas craft by adding a few touches once it is dry. First, grab a Sharpie permanent marker and decorate your handprint castle. drawing bricks and even a drawbridge door. Finally, consider adding glitter or silver & white pom-poms like falling snow.

Christmas Tree

This handprint Christmas tree is a classic and easy-to-make project. You’ll be using several handprints to make the Christmas tree! It’s important to know how to make an adorable Christmas handprint tree. Do this in stages. Start with the bottom of the tree and do the first hand print, let it dry. Add the next hand print, let it dry. Finally, complete the last hand print at the top and… as you know… let it dry.

Tip: If you have more than one child, allow this to be a sibling craft with the largest hand at the base of the tree and the smallest chid’s hand at the top. This would make a family Christmas tree handprint craft.

Angel

how to make a angel Christmas handprint art

There is a beautiful angel that you can place your child’s handprints on. The angel uses two handprints, so this is an extra special part of the PDF. It actually makes a beautiful ornament or even tree topper after dried and laminated.

Ways to Use Preschool Christmas Handprint Art

Christmas traditions are not only meaningful to parents but create warm memories for kids too. In addition to baking cookies and decorating the Christmas tree, add a keepsake handprint Christmas craft that you can treasure for years to come. It’s a fun activity but also a sweet reminder of how much your toddlers and preschoolers are growing up!

There are many ways that you can use handprint art, but here are a few ideas to get you started on this fun activity for kids.

Make a Holiday Card

One of the most popular ways to use handprint art is to create a homemade card. This is a great way to show off your child’s artistic skills and it also allows you to send a personal message to friends and family. You can either use handprints to create the entire Christmas card or you can use them as an embellishment.

Sayings for Christmas card handprint ideas might include…

  • Merry Christmas!
  • Our Family Tree (and the year)
  • This isn’t just a Christmas tree as you can plainly see, I made it with my hand, which is party of me! It comes with lots of love especially to say, I hope you have a merry & bright Christmas day!
  • Let it snow!
  • This is to remind you when I have grown so tall, that once I was little and my hands were very small.
  • Look very closely and you will see, that Santa’s beard was made by me! Hang this Santa on your wall, to remember when my hands were small.

Use as Holiday Decoration

Another great way to use handprint art is to create holiday decorations. You can make a garland, wreath, ornaments, or even an Advent calendar. One idea is to let these projects dry and then cut out your designs. Once cut you can laminate the art.  Either display it as is or add a hole punch and string and hang on the Christmas tree as a fun DIY ornament for kids.

This is a great way to decorate your home in a unique and personal way.
