Thin Mint Smoothie

Treat yourself to a classic Girl Scout Cookie flavor but with a healthy twist with the benefits of Juice Plus+ Protein Powder! This Thin Mint Smoothie is at the same time delicious and packed with protein for a guilt free treat- you could even feel good about having it for breakfast! You only need 4 ingredients (5 if you want to sweeten) to create your yummy smoothie.

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup of Almond Milk
  • 1 scoop Juice Plus+ Complete Dutch Chocolate Powder
  • 4 frozen cubes plain Greek Yogurt*
  • ½ tsp mint extract or use a couple drops Young Living Peppermint Essential Oil
  • optional: honey

Directions:

Place all ingredients in blender and mix until smooth and creamy. If desired add honey a tsp. at a time to sweeten. Serve in a frosted glass.

*I like to use frozen yogurt in place of ice to create my smoothies this will keep your drink from getting watered down and losing flavor. Fill ice cube trays with yogurt and pop in freezer, once frozen transfer to a zip top freezer bag. Use a sharpie to write yogurt and the date. These can be used as a base for any flavor!

Healthy Tips: This recipe is for a serving. Multiply as needed! These are all done easily in the blender.  Almond milk can be replaced with any kind of milk, including soy, coconut or rice milk.

Read more about how you can get $50 of FREE Juice Plus products and/or get FREE children’s supplements.

Christian Easter Crafts featuring Resurrection Eggs, Resurrection Gardens and Resurrection Rolls Recipes. Use with Sunday School Lessons or Home Schooling Curriculum Crafts.

Christian Easter Crafts – Resurrection Gardens

Why do we celebrate Easter? As Christians, we celebrate Easter because it recognizes the RESURRECTION of Jesus. Jesus was killed by crucifixion on a Friday (Good Friday) and then actually came back to life on the following Sunday (Easter.) Easter is often adorned with bunnies, eggs, and pretty dresses, but there are many ways we can still incorporate the “cute” things of Easter by not forgetting the reason for this season.

Before you get started, be sure to save this Easter Games List PDF for gatherings large and small, family Easter parties, youth groups, neighborhood playdates and more. See more Easter Games for Kids.

Frugal Fashion Friday Black & White Striped Dress Outfit

It’s another Frugal Fashion Friday. I don’t know if it is the extra weight of the holiday pounds, the trend or what – but I LOVE A LOOSE TOP/DRESS. I couldn’t resist this black and white stripped dress. Perfect for a day at the beach, afternoon shopping, or dress up for a dinner out – it is versatile, fun and best of all frugal!…You can grab it for only $16.99.

Stay with a classic black and white design and enjoy tossing this dress over a swimsuit or wearing out for an afternoon of shopping. If the air is still cool, style with a jean jacket or a black cardigan.

Black Batwing Cardigan $12.99. A cardigan. A must in any closet. I wear mine over fancy dresses and even over my gym clothes. They are great for tossing in the car and using as needed. We love it with our Black & White Stripped Dress. This is Asian sizing, so keep that in mind on the “plus-size”

Straw Fedora with Black Band $6.53 + FREE Shipping. Bring more attention to your look with a Fedora. These are great for bad hair days and great for adding that last little accessory for your outfit. I wear mine by the pool or even on evenings out.

Easy and Creative Teacher Appreciation Gift Ideas

Prior to blogging, I was a teacher and I absolutely loved it. Teaching brought about some of my most memorable years and I would go back in a heart beat if it fit my life and schedule. One of my favorite time of the year was spring for both teacher appreciation and volunteer appreciation week. It wasn’t getting huge gifts but it was the heart felt wishes my students gave that mattered most. By spring we had built meaningful relationships and when they would write me notes of appreciation, they always brought tears to my eyes. Cleaning out a cabinet with my daughters this past week, I came across some of those notes and half a dozen years later, they still warm my heart.
