What is Elf on the Shelf?

Elf on the Shelf is a Christmas Tradition. The tradition has a book and a elf doll. The book is poetic and in rhyme sharing the purpose of the Elf’s visits. The Elf visits each Thanksgiving. He/She goes and returns from the North Pole each evening. Every morning he can be found in a new location in the house. The Elf has been found in the refrigerator, fishing in the toilet, writing messages on the mirror or hanging from the lights. It is VERY IMPORTANT, the Elf is not touch each evening or his Christmas magic will be lost! Each family is able to name their special elf. The elves return to their home (Santa’s North Pole Work shop) every Christmas Eve. An Elf’s Story can also be found on DVD.

Get ready to create family traditions in the month of October. This Family Bucket List for Halloween has 31 days of fun. Print your Halloween bucket list and start checking off the activities as you go!

Family Bucket List for Halloween

We just shared our Fall Bucket List. I actually printed mine and put it on our refrigerator. The kids were pretty excited to see the different activities we have planned over the next few weeks. With this family bucket list, we wanted to make it a little more specific. Halloween themed.

We created a family bucket list that can begin October 1. You can do a new idea each day. Go in order, or change it up. It does end with October 31, putting on your costume and going trick-or-treating. However, some days might not work in order. For example, visiting a pumpkin patch on a Wednesday might not work for a family working and in school.  You might be able to tackle some of these bucket list ideas on one day. You might make candy apples, eat candy corn and and bake pumpkin pancakes in the same day. So take a weekend and make it as Halloween focused as you can, working on your Halloween Family Bucket List.

Family Bucket List for Halloween

Create new Family Traditions for fall! This Halloween Bucket list is listed for 31 days of activity. Feel free to adapt it to your family and change it up as needed during the month of October.
