Save these kids breakfast recipes for the back to school season. Easy and healthy recipes your kids will enjoy and you can quickly make in the morning or prep ahead.

Kids Breakfast Recipes

Kids Breakfast Recipes for Back to School

My kids eat pretty healthy. This is for two reasons. First, I am a good mom. Second (and most truthful), I will beat those kids to a full bag of chips. Not the individual sized chips. I mean, I will out eat a family-sized bag of Doritos Chips.  Because this last fact is scarily true, I can’t buy unhealthy food in our house. I can’t control my own urges. Knowing my own limitations and also, being a good mom, I worked hard to find Kids Breakfast Recipes in preparation for Back to School.

These breakfast recipes are not only recipes the kids will enjoy but also recipes I (the good parent, mother) will enjoy. The ingredients will not make me feel sick, I mean the kids feel sick, at the on-start of the day. Many you can prep ahead over the weekend, and pull out on a weekday morning.

These Easy Baked Oatmeal Cups (The Recipe Rebel) use only four basic ingredients and they’re perfect for breakfast

Bake and freeze our Apple Oat Muffins (Frugal Coupon Living). Microwave and serve with or without butter.

Such a unique breakfast idea, whip up these Strawberry Banana Peanut Butter Toast on a Stick (Peas and Crayons) for a fun back to school breakfast!

Apple Pizzas (Veggie Desserts) are a fun and tasty treat. They’re a great healthy kids recipe for breakfast (or even serve as an after school snack.)

Prepare these Scrambled Egg Muffins (Six Sisters Stuff) ahead, maybe over the weekend. Freeze them and pop them in the microwave each morning.

Peanut Butter Banana Overnight Oats (Jessica in the Kitchen) are so easy to make! They take 5 minutes to prep, and are made overnight in your fridge!

Cranberry Coconut Chocolate Chip Granola Bars (Eating Bird Food), need a say more?

America’s favorite breakfast is cereal! Toast with a glass of milk and these Kids Breakfast Cereal Bars (I Heart Naptime).

Breakfast burritos are fun, but when they are crispy, they are even better! These Crispy Sausage Egg Breakfast Burritos (Meatloaf and Melodrama) are hearty enough for a kids breakfast. They are also freezer friendly so you can make them ahead of time!

Check out this unique Kids Breakfast Recipe, a Hidden-Egg Bagel Sandwich (Toaster Oven Love). A donut pan and scooped-out bagels make for this fun and mess-free back to school breakfast.

Energy balls are so easy to make. Switch up your Energy Ball Recipes (Bless This Mess) every week – blueberry, chocolate, peanut butter, oatmeal and more!

Twist up the everyday breakfast with kids Pebbles Cereal Sushi Breakfast (Raising Whasians).

Popsicle molds can be for something more than summer snacks. These Milk and Cereal Breakfast Popsicles (In Katrina’s Kitchen) have more ingredients than what’s in their description.

These Funfetti Breakfast Muffins (The Pinning Mama) might have your kids jumping out of bed!

Smoothies are my go to breakfast recipe. My kids always get jealous. I found this Banana Breakfast Smoothie (Marsha’s Baking Addiction) has perfect ingredients for the kids. PS I would sneak in some spinach. Just sayin’!

No one can say no to cookies. Banana Bread transforms into Banana Bread Breakfast Cookies (Mile High Mitts).

Cold, refreshing and good for you, these Frozen Yogurt Granola Cups (The Unlikely Baker) are a bite you can personalize per taste!

Chocolate Croissants? Sneak in a banana with these Banana Hazelnut Stuffed Crescent Rolls (Frugal Coupon Living).

If your kids love guacamole, consider sending them off to school full on Avocado Toast (Spend with Pennies) – so tasty!

The many faces of …. toast. Create a different Animal Face Toast (All She Cooks) every morning of the week!

Goldfish Hooked On You Valentine

Goldfish Hooked on You valentine

Do you need a cute non-candy Valentine to pass out for your child? Well, who can resist a bag of Valentine’s treats that smile at you? An adorable alternative to candy for Valentine’s Day this cute printable and treat idea ideas is perfect for classmates, neighbors, or family. Use any variety of goldfish you prefer, sweet or salty. I personally love the look of the traditional little orange guy! For less than $10 you can make enough bags for an entire class, and don’t forget the teacher! Simply print the bag topper and let your little one help you to fill the bag, assemble and go! Anyone your child comes in contact with in the course of day to day would appreciate one of these bags; bus driver, crossing guard, room mom, teacher, principle, or even a ballet or karate teacher.

Supplies:

  • Hooked on You Printable (see below)
  • Goldfish
  • 4×6 Cellophane bags (available at Hobby Lobby and Michaels)
  • Stapler/staples
  • Cardstock

Directions:

  1. Print off the FREE Frugal Coupon Living bag topper HERE on cardstock for a sturdier topper, 4×6 is a perfect size for bags.
  2. Cut topper out of cardstock using scissors or a paper slicer –  I use mine for scrapbooking but if you do any paper crafts at all its a great item to have on hand, one like this does just fine.
  3. Fold topper in half, creasing the middle.
  4. Scoop ¼ to ½ cup of goldfish into bag, roll down to keep fresh, seal with a small piece of tape.
  5. Place bag topper over bag and secure with 2 staples.
  6. Repeat till you have enough for the entire class!

DIY Valentine Wreath Crafts – Adorable Valentine’s Day Decor Ideas for Your Door.

Valentine Wreath Ideas

Nothing welcomes a guest more than the front door. The front door is the first impression visitors get to your home. While the inside might be quite chaotic (mine is), while every closet might be stuffed to the brim with “stuff” (mine are), a wreath states “I am merry, welcoming, and this house is festive and fun.” It truly can tell a false story and is the number one reason I swear by a holiday wreath on my door – false impressions.

14 Inspiring Valentine Mantel Ideas

Have you cleaned up your Christmas decorations? Before I had kids, and maybe when I only had one, my Christmas decorations were always put away by the New Year. Every year and with each additional child, the date became later and later. This year, with the expected delivery of the twins, we decided to go very slim on decorations. I just couldn’t handle the babies coming and getting everything put away.

Anyways, moving on from the holidays of last year and onto the first holiday of the new year – Valentines Day! Last year you guys loved our Valentine Home Decor Ideas. This year we wanted to go a step further with a focus – Valentine Mantel Ideas. I think if you are going to decorate any piece of your home, at least get the mantel. If you can’t get to anything else in the home for that season, no big deal. The mantel is the staple of most homes and having it decorated allows you to feel as if you didn’t slack. If you are doing more than just the mantel, take a look at our Valentine Home Decor Ideas for insight.

Valentine You Make My Heart Pop Printable

Valentine You Make My Heart Pop!

I love pun and I love Valentines. This adorable valentine collides two of my favorite things. This valentine is very affordable and easy to make. It’s also unique. It provides something salty to an otherwise Valentine mailbox that may be filled with sweets! You could also use this printable in our Valentines’ Day Popcorn Recipes! Just spread out the recipe into individual Ziploc bags and tie the tag on the bag with red and white twine.

Popcorn Valentine Supplies

Popcorn Valentine Supplies:

  • Red and White Twine
  • Tape
  • Popcorn Bags
  • Valentine You Make My Heart Pop Printable (see below)

Popcorn Valentine Directions:

It doesn’t take much to create this adorable popcorn valentine.

First, get your Valentine You Make My Heart Pop Printable (below.) You can print at home on cardstock, or we like to order from Staples. Cut out your valentines.

Second, spread out individual bags of popcorn. One bag for each Valentine.

I then took tape and curled it to make it double side. This allowed me to center my Valentine You Make My Heart Pop Printable on my bag of popcorn.

Once that was centered, I took red and white twine and tied a ribbon around  the popcorn. I liked to give it a few wraps to give it a pop of color and texture.

Enjoy!
