… and for a very special Valentine’s Day Party Game, take a look at our 128 Valentine Taboo Cards.

Valentine Forbidden Words Games

These Valentine’s taboo cards can bring out the competitive side of you. This game is especially fun for friends who love to get creative with their language- whether it’s swearing or talking about things that are typically taboo it’s a ton of laughs.

Use these Valentine’s cards for inspiration, but you can also make up rules that work best for you and your guests- whether it’s limited words or using only one word at a time. The possibilities are endless when it comes to taboo!

What You Need to Play Taboo

  • Taboo cards printable
  • A timer or stopwatch to keep the game on track
  • Pencil/pen to keep score
  • Writing paper
  • Optional: electronic buzzer

To prep the game, print out the Taboo cards pdf on cardstock for extra durability and to reuse the cards again. The file has 128 creative Valentine’s Day words cards that you’ll love. There are plenty of cards but in case you want to add your own, we included blank cards so you can add some clues of your own.

Who are the Taboo Cards For?

These February Taboo Cards are best used as an Adult Valentine’s Day Party idea. Some of the words may be too difficult for younger players or more PG-13. If you wish to adapt for a kids’ party, read through the cards before you get started if you’re playing with kids or teens.

Just remove the cards that you’d like to avoid and store them with the adult set of clues separately.

We also included blank cards so you can add your own forbidden words that might be age-appropriate for younger kids.

How to Play Valentine Taboo Cards

The taboo game rules are simple. To get started, players will break into small teams of 3-4 people each.

The first player begins the guessing game by drawing one card and then reading the “guess word” to themself. The word at the top of the card is the word/phrase they will be described so the other players on their team will guess it.

The words below are the “forbidden words” that the clue giver should avoid.

Clues are given one Valentine’s word at a time, with the team members guessing until they get the word. To make sure the game stays on task, a one-minute timer can be used.

If the teammates guess the word, the team gets the point.

The game works well for groups as small as 4 and doesn’t need an even number to play, making it easy to plan activities for any party, gathering, or event. Players will be on the edge of their seats trying to declare their team the winner!

Where are my selfie fans at? This Selfie Scavenger Hunt is one that everyone will love! Print this selfie scavenger hunt PDF and see who has the best selfie skills. This is a fantastic way to have everyone laughing, posing, and talking, potentially their wackiest and silliest selfies yet!

How many times have you ever wondered how many selfies there are to take? We all fall into that want and need to turn the smartphone around and say “cheese,” so why not use a printable scavenger hunt to help get you there?!

Since I know I’m always looking for ideas, I created an inexpensive scavenger hunt that is great for tweens, teens, and adults! Use this printable to add some fun to birthday parties and family gatherings or just to add a great game for all to join in on.

And if you’ve ever wondered how many selfies someone can take in a short amount of time, you’re about to find out!

What is a selfie scavenger hunt?

It’s just like it sounds. Each person who wants to be a part of the scavenger hunt fun gets a printed selfie sheet and starts working their way down the list.

Some selfies can be done right there on the spot, while others will take a little bit more creativity to make happen. The faster you can pose and click that camera, the closer you’ll be to winning the selfie game!

Who will be crowned the “selfie queen” or the “selfie king”? You’ll have to download and play to find out!

How to Create a Selfie Scavenger Hunt

Fun Selfie Scavenger Hunt printable with phone camera

A few steps are needed to plan this super fun scavenger hunt. First, figure out who is going to play. Second, make sure that everyone has a cell phone to be able to snap those selfies!  Third, make up a few fun rules like “no blurry selfies” allowed!  Finally, get your printable selfie scavenger hunt checklist. You can decide if any of the items deserve bonus points for creativity or fastest to finish.  Those bonus points can complement affect and change the winner!

Who Can Play

Did I mention that this selfie game is great for all ages? It can be used for a team building scavenger hunt or just to have everyone get a few laughs.

  • Workplace Employees

  • K-12 Classroom Students

  • Birthday Party Guests

  • Team-Building Ice Breakers for New Friends

  • Youth Group

  • College Sorority Sisters or Fraternity Brothers

Take this city scavenger hunt as an adventure on a family game night, as ice breakers for a conference, to a birthday party and more.

The more that want to join in on the fun, the better! It never gets old to see selfies plus the more teammates and players the harder it gets to take those selfies – make sure you have a selfie stick!

How to Play

The fun part about this printable selfie game is that there are minimal rules – but maximum fun! I think that there are three main ways to play, in no particular order:

Team vs Team: Pair up people into teams, and race against the clock! What team can get the selfies done quicker than the other?

Man vs Clock: You can do this with one person and the clock, or team vs. clock as well. Set a timer, and once the timer goes off, count up how many selfies each person got done. The one with the most, wins!

Individual vs Individual: Mom vs. Dad? Brother vs. Sister? Just two people are needed to play, so bring on the friendly competition!

The instructions are simple. Find all the items on the list or find the most items in a set amount of time.

Where to Play

There are so many options to play this selfie scavenger hunt activity. We have a list of public locations to take selfies, but since this is an editable document, you can easily make your own rules and add to the list to include home locations or indoor scavenger hunt ideas, too! Plus it’s versatile. Take it on your focations and play in town one time and a different city another time.

Selfie Scavenger Hunt List

Questioning if there are really that many places to take selfies? You bet there are! Below are the 24 places and selfie challenges that you’ll find on our printable selfie hunt PDF!

Do your kids love grocery shopping? I can tell you with grocery store delivery, its a rare occasion with my children make the grocery store run with me. However, when we step foot in the supermarket, their eyes go aglow with displays off all the snacks and candies they want!

What are fun Grocery store activities for kids?

If you have a supermarket sweeps, I mean grocery store run with the kids, put together a few activities that allow them to feel older and involved.  It’s possible to make the grocery store fun without you feeling like your are going to pull out your last strand of hair.

These are fun activities for how the kids can get involved in the grocery store shopping…

  • Collect the rainbow. Ask them to get one item of each color from the grocery store shelves.  This can be done exclusive in the produce department with fruits and vegetables.
  • Take a few items off your grocery shopping list and put it on the kids. Find easier items they can easily and quickly locate.
  • Learning fun. For a homeschool math lesson, total the prices of a few items. See how the prices change with tax is added.
  • Pick out a few packages of pasta and go home and make a pata necklace.
  • Access the grocery store sales flier or print off logos and images online of the items you need. Create your own DIY grocery store checklist with these images and glue on a piece of construction paper.
  • Work on the alphabet. Use an alphabet scavenger hunt and find one item that starts with each letter of the alphabet A all the way to Z.
  • Nutrition research. For middle school and high school students, have them work on a health or nutrition lesson about carbs, calories, fats, etc.

In addition to these cute supermarket activities, we have something very unique. Not only is it fun, it creates a sweet treat! • Measuring spoons
  • Mixer or spoon

  • Baking sheet(s)
  • Parchment paper

This delicious recipe batch yields about 30 of the best chocolate chip cookies. Store inside an airtight container to keep fresh and hold a yummy taste.

Can I make these chocolate chip cookies ahead?

Yes, this chewy chocolate chip cookies recipe is actually best if made ahead. That doesn’t mean you can’t whip up the recipe and immediately put the mixture in the oven. However, if you can let your mixed cookie dough chill for up to two hours before baking, your cookies will come out nice and fluffy texture. Chilling chocolate chip cookie dough solidifies the fat in the cookies. When baked, it actually prevents spread on a baking pan as the fat in chilled cookie dough takes longer to melt than room temperature fat.

How can I do with these chocolate chip cookies?

Are you afraid these cookies will go to waste? I mean, in our home, there is no such thing as wasted baked desserts. However, if this is not something your family would enjoy more than one bite, take a look at these ideas for your non-necessary cookies.

  • Thankful Thursday for Teachers
  • Cookies for Santa
  • Christmas Cookie Exchange
  • Gift for Neighbor
  • Family Baking Day

You can even gift your cookies with this adorable printable guide. It’s too cute of a poster not to gift with the baked cookies.

Make sure that once you print all the pieces and pictures, you take the time to laminate them. This is a great way to make this an activity that the kids can play with over and over again.

If you cycle activities in your house to keep them fresh and new, add them to a clear storage container so that you can see what is inside. This will save you time and sanity, so you don’t have to label the container or open the lid to dig inside.

List Supplies with bullets If they are needed.

Supplies

Also consider making your own homemade movie night invitations. These invites can be slid under the bedroom door of family members along with family movie night tickets.

To begin, set up a pretend window and table for a ticket booth.

After you collect your printable movie tickets, offer coupons for a concession stand. Have an area with movie theater candy, hot dogs, pizza and popcorn. Guests can look at the menu and pick their own treats and boxes of candy. USe the movie theater concession stand menu to allow kids to do simple math of how much money is owed.

You can set up a popcorn bar with candy, chocolate, sweet treats and even popcorn boxes. Everyone can put their own concoction together.

Once the yummy food has been passed out the anticipation of the cinema has grown. Allow everyone to sit down in their favorite seat. Pass out cozy blankets.

printable zoo scavenger hunt for kids

Zoo Scavenger Hunt Checklist

The first zoo-themed scavenger hunt is a popular zoo animal checklist. Circle the animals as you find them at the zoo. Go in any order. With zoo animal photos, this activity is very easy for preschoolers and younger kids. However, if your focus is older kids, don’t toss this zoo animal checklist. Use it for your scavenger hunt at the zoo for adults and older kids.

Zoo Scavenger Hunt Clue Cards

Is your crowd older? Then use our extra fun zoo scavenger hunt riddles. In this clue based scavenger hunt, read each of the clue cards with zoo animal facts. As you read the clue, uncover the answer. Each zoo animal answer is also found on the zoo scavenger hunt checklist – so with the name of the animal, it keeps things simple and from anyone getting stumped.

How to organize a scavenger hunt at the zoo

Having a public scavenger hunt can always be a little bit of a challenge. This is because zoos are open to the general public and hiding clue cards might be challenging when you don’t’ want anyone to mess up your scavenger hunt. In addition, getting from one size of the zoo to the other size is a hike. Most people find they have covered miles walking at the end of the day.

Because of both the size and people at a zoo, it’s best to keep this scavenger hunt on you all day long. The checklist will be easy. As you pass the animals, circle the animal you have found. See if you can get a fun pattern of circles are even turn it into a BINGO board. How fast can you get five across or five down or five diagonal.

If using the clue cards, give your child all the clues up front. They can read the clues and solve which animal is what. You can also hold on to the zoo map and before you hit a section (say the safari section of the zoo), hand them all the clues that fit the safari animals.

Alternatively, save the entire set of cards for before or even after the zoo visit. They can review animals and fun facts about zoo animals found at their zoo.

While these zoo scavenger hunt riddles cover 20 common zoo animals, all these animals might not be at the zoo you visit. You can take out those clue cards or keep them in for fun.

Can this zoo scavenger hunt be done at home?

Why not? Grab a pen and clipboards and use each of the printables and turn your own house into a zoo. There are a few fun ways to have a zoo scavenger hunt at home.Go on a virtual online zoo tour using some of the popular zoos we listed or turn your house into a pretend zoo. Using dramatic play and place stuffed animals around your home (or print out popular zoo animal pictures) and turn each room into a zoo animal habitat. Older kids can even help set up the at home zoo for younger kids. name different rooms as habitats like Grassland, Rainforest, Tundra, etc.
