Ridiculously easy chocolate pudding bowls made with melting chocolate and the shape of balloons. You won’t believe how easy this ice cream balloon bowl tutorial is with a few simple steps and ingredients.

Chocolate Pudding Bowls Made with Balloons

Want a creative and cute dessert idea for the kids? Make the chocolate dipped balloon bowls. They are so easy, take a few simple ingredients and the kids will have a blast blowing up the balloon (okay, how are we kidding, you will be doing this) and dipping in in the chocolate.

Follow these simple steps. We served with vanilla pudding, but you could try other flavor puddings or even ice cream – I suggest serving on a plate or in a bowl as the chocolate will quick crack when you use a spoon to scoop out the yummy insides. Best of all, you get to eat you chocolate bowl!

Ingredients:

12 Small Round Balloons (water balloons work well)
8 oz Melting/Dipping Chocolate Candy (your choice of color)
1 box Pudding Mix
2 cup Milk
Candy Decorations (optional)

Directions:

Make pudding according to box directions and allow to cool.
Line a cookie sheet with parchment or wax paper.
Melt chocolate by microwaving 45 seconds, stirring and repeating until melted and smooth.
Inflate each balloon just until slightly larger than an tennis ball and tie off.
Dip and roll balloon in chocolate until covered about half way.
Place on tray and set tray in freezer for 10 minutes until set.
Dip and roll each balloon a second tip to thicken chocolate shell.
Return to tray and return tray to freezer for 15 minutes.
Snip top of each balloon to release air.
Gently slide your finger and pull balloon away from shell working your way around the edge.
If shell starts to soften, return to freezer for 10 minutes and continue after it firms.
If there are in holes in bottom, carefully fill with melted chocolate to patch and freeze to set.
Fill each egg with pudding and sprinkle with decorations if desired.
Refrigerate until served.

Dairy Free Recipes for a Dairy Free Diet. Tasty recipes and lactation suggestions that won’t make a nursing mother feel like she is sacrificing. Easy dairy free snack ideas for breastfeeding mothers.

Nursing the twins has been rather hard. First, they were born early and never got a good latch. Coming from a mother that breastfed her first three children, the extra steps required were going to take me being attached to a breast pump rather than my precious newborns. Once the routine of pumping became the norm, I started noticing colic in Henry. This was around 7 weeks of age. In addition to the colic, Henry was constipated and having alot of projectile vomit with mucus. I researched potential reasons and we eliminated dairy from my diet. This seemed to do the trick and thus began the sacrifice of not only pumping, but additionally changing my diet and sacrificing my favorite foods.

I made the mistake with my third born of creating a healthy diet and lowering my calorie intake. Happily, I lost my baby weight but sadly, I also lost my supply, Since I was trying to keep up a supply for twins, I began searching Dairy Free Recipes to go with my new Dairy Free Diet. Many of these recipes have the intent of still supplying calories and still remaining tasty. Additionally, I researched some recipes that support lactation and breast milk production. My goal in this post was not to overload you with meats and veggies (because that is obviously an easy elimination to dairy) but to supply you with tasty eats, so you don’t feel like your diet is a sacrifice.

Helpful tip: OREOs were my best friend. Did you know OREOs are dairy free? They totally helped me with cravings that often had diary.

Hosting a Unicorn Birthday Party? Swoon over these whimsical Unicorn Party Favors. They are not only easy but adorable and cute for any unicorn lover!

We were helping a friend come up with some ideas for her unicorn themed party and had to share with you this party favor idea. You can have the kids make it at the party for a fun little craft during the celebration or you can pre-make them ahead and send them home as party favors with the kids! They really are fun to make and require only a little assistance from adults!

We pre-bought candy, but another fun idea is to pick up a unicorn pinata and when children collect the candy from the pinata they can make this fun unicorn treat! I think Salt Water Taffy would be a fun, light colored candy for the unicorn!

Unicorn Party Favors

Yields: 4 Party Favors (multiply as needed)

Supplies:

4 Clear Plastic Cups
4 Clear Disposable Piping Bags
1 pkg. Multi-Color Paper Confetti
1 Bag Mini Fun Mallows Marshmallows—fruit flavored
Pastel-Colored Candies (I used Sixlets, Taffy, and Lifesavers. Salt Water Taffy is fun too!)
Pink Cardstock or Construction Paper
4 Bag Ties
Curling Ribbon
Tape
Black Permanent Marker

Directions:

Fill each clear piping bag with marshmallows about halfway up. Tie them closed with the bag ties and cut off the top of each bag above the ties. These are the unicorn horns.
Use the pink paper, and cut out 8 little pink ears, about 2 inches tall.
Cut 8 pieces of the curling ribbon, 6 inches long. Tape the ends of 2 ribbons together to a piece of candy. Curl the ribbons with scissors.
Put a little confetti into each cup and put a unicorn horn in them with the points of the bags pointed up. Hold onto the horns so they stay up straight while you fill the cups with candy. This will hold the horns up.
Tape 2 little pink ears on the fronts of each cup at the top and draw 2 eyes under each ear.
Place the candy with the taped-on curling ribbons right on top of the cup in front of the horn. Have the curling ribbon hang down right between the ears, so it looks like a horse’s mane hanging down.
These cute unicorns would be fun at any party!

Enjoy the taste of summer with this dessert twist – Snow Cone Summer Cupcakes. Mimic everyone’s favorite shaved iced treat in the form of a tasty individual cake.

Summer, summer, summertime…

We found some of the cutest summer cupcakes for your little crew. Don’t let the look fool you. These aren’t your ordinary shaved iced. These are snow cone cupcakes eaten with a spoon! They also are very easy and your little ones will have a fun time feeling like they just walked off The Next Baking Championship program!

Ingredients and Supplies:

6 Prepared Cupcakes, unfrosted
1 Container White Frosting
Sanding Sugars—red, yellow, blue
6 White Styrofoam Cups, 12 oz (you can find smaller ones here)
6 Plastic Spoons
Scissors

Directions:

First, cut off a little more than half of the top of each cup. The bottoms will be used to hold the cupcakes so make sure the cupcakes fit inside with the cake tops being about even with the cup tops. Don’t put the cupcakes into the cups yet.
Frost each cupcake with a thick layer of frosting and smooth it into a dome shape.
Start with the blue sugar and sprinkle a thick coat on the left third of the frosting so it looks like a blue stripe. Use the yellow sugar next and sprinkle a thick coat on the middle of the cupcake to look like a yellow stripe. Use the red sugar last to sprinkle on a thick coat for a red stripe on the right third of the cupcake. It should resemble a snow cone.
Set each cupcake down into a cup and dip a spoon down into the edge of the cake so it looks like a spoon inside a snow cone.
Ready to serve.
These are an easy, cute treat to make for any summer party. And they won’t melt!
