Absorb the spirit of Christ this season with this Bible Study Christmas Gift Idea. Bounty paper towels with pun saying to blot out problems, soak up sorrows, and wipe away difficulties.

Bible Study Christmas Gift Ideas with Pun

My Bible study has grown and sometimes it’s hard to think of something creative and cute without spending an arm and leg. I was trying to come up with something creative for my girls, without baking (the holidays add enough calories) and this gift tag came to mind. Of course, there is nothing exciting over the gift of paper towels, but I love the pun and the message for the season!

Bible Study Christmas Gift Tag Supplies

Not many supplies are needed for this gift. First, I subscribe and save on Amazon to Bounty Paper towels. So these paper towel rolls were actually something I already had – that reminds me, I need to order MORE for our family! I needed 13 rolls to gift to my bible study girls and my leader.

I used twine that I keep in my gift wrapping drawers.  Curling ribbon could be cute too. What about this black and white check ribbon?

You will also need our free printable. I give the link to that printable below as well as how to order your printable online so it is printed in the store – save on ink and paper. We got our gift tags for under $1.

Gift Tip! Pair this gift with scented holiday soap, cookie mix, cooking gadgets or tools, or make an entire basket of items and include this punny tag with a roll of paper towel!

Bible Study Christmas Gift Tag Saying

May the absorbing spirit of Christ blot out your problems, soak up your sorrows, and wipe away your difficulties. May the new year bring you bounteous blessing throughout the new year.

I am happy to share printables. When sharing with others, please lead them to my website instead of emailing them the file(s). It takes time, effort and money to put the freebies forth and I earn when you visit. Thanks for visiting and thanks for sharing with others!

Bible Study Christmas Gift Tag Directions

Get your paper towel rolls. We like the wrapper off the roll. Tie your ribbon around the roll of paper.  Cut your gift tags out and use a hole punch to punch a hole at the top. Thread your ribbon through and tie off your ribbon with a bow. Gift to your girls!

I like to order my prints at Staples. It saves on ink and is only a few short miles from my home. I pick-up at the store, but of course you can upload them online and then have them shipped to your home.

To Order Your Printables at Staples for Under $1*:

  1. Download and save your image from this post.  (Please note these images are for personal use only and cannot be sold or used for commercial use.)
  2. Sign in or create a Staples account on their print service page.
  3. Return to Staples print service page.
  4. Go to Start Project.
  5. Go to Documents Printing.
  6. Select the Buy Now Button under color.
  7. On the left column, select your file.
  8. Select upload.
  9. Select done.
  10. Give your job a name.
  11. Make sure your project is single sided. The orientation should be portrait.
  12. I changed my media to 8.5×10 and the media to 67 lb coverstock (I prefer a cardstock feel over printer paper feel.)
  13. Select add to cart.
  14. Proceed to checkout. My total was $0.17 for one print. You can choose to ship to your home or to pick up at your local store. Pay online and show your invoice when you pick up (I just show the order number on my phone at pick-up.) The order invoice will arrive in your email inbox.
  15. Enjoy!

*Note: these Staple print service steps were added in Fall 2018. The directions may change as the website changes. They should give you a general outline of how to upload and order a print on Staples.com.

Spring or summer is the perfect time to make a buzzy little paper plate bee. Isn’t it adorable with its big, friendly eyes and cute little wings? Get all the late summer and fall vibes with this cute paper plate sunflower. The black dots (for seeds) are made with an eraser, but you could let your kiddo make fingerprints in the center instead if you’d like. | Non-Toy Gifts

How adorable is this paper plate car? It’s made with super simple shapes: circles, half-circles, and rectangles, so it’s easy for preschoolers to cut the shapes. Also, you could make a bus by painting the paper plate yellow and using blue windows instead. This is a great choice for a transportation unit study. | Real Life at Home

The kids will have a roaring good time with this paper plate lion. Snipping the main and ruffling it up a bit gives the craft a more 3D look. | Kids Activities Blog

Looking for a fun Sunday School Craft for the Kids? This Noah’s Ark Paper plate is not only easy to make, but adorable. Supplies include markers, paper plates, stickers and foam!

Noah’s Ark Sunday School Craft

Noah's Ark Sunday School Craft

Looking for a fun Sunday School Craft? We love this easy paper plate craft using the story of Noah’s Ark in the Bible. Noah’s Ark is the vessel in the Genesis flood narrative by which God spares Noah, his family, and two animals of every kind. You can read the story in Genesis Chapters 6 to 9, otherwise there are some really good Noah’s Ark Books for Kids.

While you read the story, perhaps have a second adult work on this craft with the children. You can give instruction before the story begins.

In this Sunday school lesson, the children learn about Noah and the ark he built according to God’s instructions. The children also learn that it is very important to obey God in all things.  Noah loved and obeyed God even when no one else would. God saved Noah. God gave a promise at the end of the book with his rainbow, a promise of peace that God would never destroy the earth again.

One of my favorite songs growing up was the Arky, Arky Song – anyone remember it? During your crafting time, this would be a fun song to sing with the kids! Also consider serving Animals Crackers!

Genesis 6:22 (ESV) “Noah did (…) all that God commanded him.”

Noah's Ark Sunday School Craft

Supplies:

  • 1 White Paper Plate (make sure there is no wax layer on the top)
  • 1 Sheet Brown Foam (you can also use brown construction paper)
  • Animal Stickers—2 of each (get 2 sets if needed, we got our at the Dollar Store)
  • Markers—red, orange, yellow, green, blue
  • Stapler (or hot glue gun)

Noah's Ark Rainbow Plate for your Sunday School Craft

Directions:

  1. Get your makers, paper plate, foam and stickers together.
  2. On the top of the paper plate, color a rainbow with your makers. Start with a thick line of red on the rim of the paper plate, and follow with orange, yellow, green, and then blue.
  3. Lay the paper plate face down on top of the brown foam. Trace a half circle on the foam around the plate. Cut out the foam, and it should look like half the plate. Cut out 3 small circle in the middle of the foam for little porthole windows.
  4.  Turn the plate right side up so the rainbow is at the top, and set the brown foam piece on the bottom half the plate.
  5.  Use a stapler to staple the foam to the top edge of the plate. Put about 4-5 staples around the edge. If using a hot glue gun, glue along the bottom edge of the plate (where the ark will lay.)
  6. Add the animal stickers. Put some peeking through the portholes, and some on the white plate so it looks like the animals are all on the ark. Don’t forget to make sure to put 2 of the same animals right next to each other since Noah put 2 of each animal on the ark.
  7. Enjoy!

fun ideas for Sunday school lessons for kids

Sunday school lessons for kids play a crucial role in helping children understand and build a strong foundation in their faith. These lessons range from teaching about the Bible, instilling moral values, to explaining important doctrines for a well-rounded Christian upbringing. With the use of memorable Bible verses, encouraging stories, creative activities, and engaging discussions, children can have an enjoyable and enriching learning experience while forming essential connections with their spiritual community.

When it comes to designing an effective Sunday school curriculum, incorporating interactive lessons and age-appropriate materials is vital. Including holiday special lessons, such as Easter and Christmas, can further enhance the learning experience by delving deeper into the significance of these occasions. To ensure success in fostering children’s spiritual growth, it’s important for teachers to have access to a variety of resources that can guide them in planning their classes and tailoring their teaching methods.

Understanding Sunday School

Sunday school is an essential part of many children’s religious education. It provides an opportunity for kids to learn about their faith, understand biblical stories, and develop a strong foundation in their beliefs. Through engaging and age-appropriate Sunday school lessons, children develop a deeper understanding of their faith while building a strong spiritual foundation.

Lessons in Sunday school usually focus on specific Bible passages or themes that are relevant to children’s lives. By exploring these topics, kids can learn valuable life lessons and understand the importance of following their faith’s teachings. Sunday school lessons are designed to be interactive and engaging, encouraging kids to ask questions, share their thoughts, and participate in discussions.

In addition to teaching kids about their faith, Sunday school also fosters a sense of community among the children. They can form friendships and build connections with their peers who share the same beliefs. This sense of camaraderie can help children feel more comfortable discussing spiritual topics and asking questions about their faith.

When selecting Sunday school lessons for kids, it is important to choose age-appropriate materials that provide clear, understandable information. Lessons should be designed for the specific age group of the children, ensuring that the content is engaging and relevant to their interests and developmental stage.

So why include this curriculum at your church? Sunday school plays a vital role in children’s spiritual education. By providing well-designed, age-appropriate lessons, Sunday schools can effectively teach kids about their faith, help them build a strong spiritual foundation, and foster a sense of community among their peers.

God’s Teachings

Old and New Testaments Sunday school teachings offer valuable chances for children to grasp fundamental teachings from the Bible. Through delving into these narratives and their meanings, children have the chance to enhance their comprehension of God’s nature, the purpose behind His actions, and the core principles of faith and love that He aims to cultivate in every believer.

Stories from Old Testament

The Old Testament contains many stories and lessons integral to the understanding of God’s Teachings in Sunday school. From Noah’s Ark to the plagues of Egypt and the parting of the Red Sea, God’s word has many stories that can be used to teach important youth ministry lessons. In Genesis, we see how God promises through the display of a rainbow to never flood the earth again.

dot marker rainbow template for sunday school

Another children’s story in the Old Testament is the tale of Joseph and God’s plan for him, found in Genesis 37 – 50. In this story, Joseph the Dreamer goes through various trials and tribulations but ultimately forgives his brothers and reunites with his family. The story imparts the valuable teachings of many emotions but ultimately faith and forgiveness.

cute joseph bible story craft for kids

While discussing the Old Testament, it is essential to highlight the concepts of sin and faith. The story of Adam and Eve, for example, introduces the idea of sin and its consequences. Sunday school lessons may use these stories to illustrate the importance of obeying God’s commandments and how sin separates people from God.

Miracles in New Testament

The New Testament, on the other hand, offers many examples of Jesus’ teachings and miracles. Sunday school lessons focusing on the New Testament can teach children about the significance of Jesus’ resurrection, the gift of salvation, and how it represents God’s power and love for humanity.

One of the most prominent miracles in the New Testament is when Jesus walks on water. This event showcases Jesus’ divine power and helps children understand the need for unwavering faith in God especially when circumstances are scary or bring fear. Lessons about Jesus healing the sick, raising the dead, and feeding the multitudes, also serve to enhance children’s understanding of God’s love, power, and care for His people.

sorting activity fruits of the spirit printable worksheet

Another kids’ Sunday school lesson that is quite popular with many classrooms is the Fruits of the Spirit including love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. These good fruits are written about by Paul in Galatians 5: 22-23. Preschoolers can color the fruits of the spirit or have an interactive lesson by separating good and bad fruits into different baskets.

Sunday school lessons from both the Old and New Testaments provide meaningful opportunities for children to learn essential teachings from the Bible. By exploring these stories and their messages, children can grow in their knowledge and understanding of God’s character, the love of Christ, the reasons for God, and the principles of faith and love He desires to instill in each believer.

Crafting Sunday School Curriculum

Creating a curriculum tailored to each age group is crucial when it comes to children. Adapting activities to suit the developmental stage of the kids is a primary consideration when creating the best Sunday School lesson for your classroom and set of students.

Building Lesson Plans

Developing a successful Sunday school curriculum involves creating engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans. It’s essential to choose relevant and relatable themes that resonate with the children while also conveying biblical truths. Incorporating various teaching tools such as Bible stories, crafts, activities, and group games can ensure the lessons capture the attention of young learners. Changing the types of Sunday School lessons allows each weekend to be different and unique. Changing up the curriculum will erase cries of “I’m bored” or “we did this already!”

When building lesson plans, it’s crucial to balance the elements of instruction and fun. One approach is to employ creative printable Sunday school lessons that cover both Old Testament and New Testament topics. This gives children an understanding of the entire book of knowledge. These resources often include Bible crafts, Christian activities, object lessons, stories, skits, songs, and children’s ministry games, which can be adapted to suit different age groups.

Adapting for Different Age Groups

A successful Sunday school curriculum caters to the varying needs of children of different ages, from preschoolers to preteens. To effectively tailor lessons for different age groups, educators must consider the abilities and interests of the children involved. When certain lessons and activities feel too mature for a younger audience, combine your Sunday school classes. Pairing older kids with younger kids can add excitement to what is otherwise the norm.

preschool Sunday school lessons felt boards

For preschoolers, it’s essential to emphasize simple and relatable messages that showcase God’s love and how He cares for families, as demonstrated in God Made Families lessons. The preschool Sunday school lesson activities should be engaging, focused on fun, and promote hands-on learning experiences such as crafts, songs, and interactive felt boards. Preschool lessons often are shorter. Sometimes the length of the child’s age. For example, five-year-olds might only receive a five-minute lesson and an easy craft. Activities like LEGOs, building blocks, and play kitchens can be added to the room for transition while preschool children wait for their parents to pick them up.

Elementary school children require more in-depth lessons that help them explore biblical themes and stories. Lesson plans should present more complex messages, such as understanding the importance of family support and guidance. Interactive skits, object lessons, and age-appropriate games are useful tools to teach these concepts while keeping the children engaged. Their Bible crafts can be a little bit more complex when it comes to cutting, gluing, and pasting.

Preteen Sunday school lessons should address the challenges faced by youth in their daily lives while continuing to underscore biblical principles. As they approach adolescence, young learners may benefit from discussions and activities centered on personal application and real-life situations. This group can also take on more involved roles in planning and executing their Sunday school experiences. Incorporate Youth Ministry Games or give them the responsibility of helping younger classes. Having a playroom or access to outdoor games will also teens burn energy.

For all kids, planning an age-appropriate curriculum is important. Most activities can be adapted to an age group. Crafting a Sunday school curriculum involves building engaging lesson plans and adapting them to suit different age groups’ needs. By using a combination of stories, crafts, activities, and games, educators can ensure that their lessons are both informative and enjoyable for all children.

Interactive Lessons

Unique games, crafts, and skits are equally important in creating interactive and fun lesson plans for kids. Changing up the activities each week will keep students on their toes and excited about the anticipation of what’s next!

Incorporating Games

bible 5 second rule game printable

Incorporating games into Sunday School can make learning about the Bible exciting and enjoyable for children. Team games can help children understand the stories and concepts in a fun and engaging manner, while also promoting social interaction and teamwork. Try holiday games for special occasions or take a break from the everyday Christian curriculum and incorporate these fun activities “just because.”  There are many types of games to choose from, such as 5-Second Bible-Themed Games or Bible Minute to Win It Games, where, with quick-thinking, children can act out various biblical stories in 60-second challenges that emphasize specific Bible lessons.

Engaging with Crafts

armor of god Sunday school craft for kids coloring wheel

Creative activities, such as crafts, help children express their thoughts and feelings while learning about faith. Providing hands-on projects related to the Bible can aid in retaining and reinforcing the lessons taught during Sunday School. Examples of engaging Bible crafts include making depictions of biblical events or characters using various art materials, or creating their own illustrated books of Bible stories. Just like our Armor of God Wheel, these hands-on activities give children a chance to interact with biblical narratives, fostering a deeper understanding and personal connection to the stories, as well as promoting focus and mindfulness in a fun and creative way.

Stories and Skits

kids nativity skit for sunday school lesson

Storytelling and Bible skits are powerful tools for engaging children during Sunday School lessons. These interactive storytelling methods can make Bible stories come alive, conveying the messages and teachings in an entertaining and memorable way. Young learners enjoy hearing and acting out stories from the Bible, which enables them to immerse themselves in the narrative. Teachers can encourage children to develop their own skits based on biblical stories or characters, allowing them to use their imaginations and better recall the lessons learned. Utilizing stories and skits in Sunday School not only fosters excitement about learning, but also helps children develop communication, cooperation, and dramatic skills.

Holiday Special Lessons

Holidays and special occasions are exciting. Kids typically count down the day until these milestone events. Play on their excitement by creating activities and lessons around both non-Christian and Christian holidays. It’s possible to adapt your lesson to the season or celebration without embracing the holiday itself.

Easter Sunday Teachings

What to put inside resurrection Eggs

Easter Sunday is a significant event in the Christian calendar, celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ. In addition to the traditional Easter Hunt, Sunday school teachers can use engaging and age-appropriate activities to teach children about the meaning of Easter and its relevance to their faith. Lessons often involve telling the Easter story, discussing Jesus’ resurrection through hands-on crafts, and discussing the importance of forgiveness and salvation. One popular activity is resurrection eggs, which helps children understand the events that took place in the garden tomb using traditional Easter Eggs. Additionally, a fun activity for teens is Easter Minute to Win it Games incorporated into your youth group or children’s church Easter Sunday ideas.

Christmas Celebrations

nativity story craft coloring wheel for kids

Christmas is another major holiday in the Christian faith, celebrating the birth of Jesus. Sunday school lessons during this time can focus on telling the Nativity story, exploring the significance of key characters, and discussing the importance of giving and love. Activities for children can include creating Nativity scenes, making ornaments, coloring a nativity craft, and singing Christmas carols.

advent bible verses for kids

Introducing a homemade Advent calendar can be a valuable resource for structuring a Christmas-themed curriculum for Sunday school. You can even add Advent Calendar Bible Verses to an Elf doll to keep a Christian Focus Elf on the Shelf Theme. Or use the Christmas scriptures without an Elf and teach through Shepherd on the Search. In this fun Christmas activity, the Shepherd searches for the star at the manger and finds Baby Jesus. It could be a fun addition to your classroom during the Advent season.

Sunday school classrooms are a great place for crafting homemade Christmas gifts. Using candy canes share the Gospel message with the Legend of the Candy Cane poem. Alternatively, use Christmas M&Ms and share the nativity story as gifts for neighbors, teachers, and extended family. These easy and low-cost gifts can also be used for parents or friends that children might want to invite to church.

Special Days Lessons

Aside from Easter and Christmas, there are several other special days and holidays throughout the year that can provide unique teaching opportunities in Sunday schools. These holidays include:

    • Halloween: While many churches might not recognize this pagan holiday, it’s possible to have fun during the fall season and the month of October. Churchs can spend their Sunday school hour with a  fun trunk-or-treat or host a church-approved costume contest with different dress-up ideas like Moses, the books of the Bible, or even a blessing in disguise.
    • Mother’s Day and Father’s Day: These celebrations can be an opportunity for children to learn about the importance of honoring and appreciating their parents. Lessons can include discussions about biblical examples of parenting, as well as creating crafts and scripture cards for parents as a gift and gesture of love and gratitude.
    • Labor Day: This holiday can be used as a teaching moment to discuss the value of hard work and service in a Christian context. Bible object lessons can highlight biblical stories and examples of individuals who demonstrated hard work and dedication, such as Noah building the ark or the Apostle Paul’s missionary journeys.
    • Thanksgiving: Thanksgiving is a great time to recognize 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 “Give thanks in all circumstances!” This can be done through a thankful tree craft. You also can add on fun Thanksgiving games like Fall Minute to Win it or a Friendsgiving Scavenger Hunt (which could take over the sanctuary or entire church building for a Thanksgiving youth group activity!)
    • Palm Sunday: Marking the beginning of Holy Week, Palm Sunday commemorates Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem. Lessons can focus on the events leading up to this moment, as well as the significance of Jesus’ actions and the symbolism of palms. Printable Material and Coloring Pages

Teachers can find a variety of printable materials and coloring pages for their Sunday School lessons. These resources cater to different age groups and are designed to engage children in an interactive learning environment. Christian websites might offer free printable Sunday School curriculums, worksheets, and high-quality lesson plans that are easy to use. Additional free resources can be found in the free printable library and list of free Sunday School printables.

Coloring pages are also an essential part of children’s ministry, as they allow kids to express their creativity while learning about key biblical themes. Numerous Bible Verse coloring pages can be found on sites like Ministry Spark where various themes are covered, and both old and new templates are provided.

In addition to Sunday School crafts, games are great for physical activity, teamwork, and grasping a deep understanding of Biblical themes and meanings. Users can create boards to collect and organize ideas, making it easier to access relevant materials for future lessons.

Utilizing these resources can help Sunday School teachers create engaging and meaningful lessons, making the learning experience enjoyable for both the students and the educators.

Children’s Character Building

Sunday School lessons play a vital role in shaping the character of children. The focus on teaching essential values and traits centered around love, attributes of God, God’s love, gratitude, attitude, and pride empowers children to foster good character.

A core principle taught in Sunday School lessons is the importance of love. It is necessary for young children to understand the concept of God’s love for them and the love they should demonstrate towards others. Building on kindness and love allows children to develop a strong foundation to appreciate and respect one another.

Familiarizing children with the attributes of God is another critical aspect of Sunday School lessons. By highlighting the characteristics of God, such as His kindness, patience, and forgiveness, kids can develop an understanding of how these attributes can be reflected in their daily lives.

Gratitude is a cornerstone value that children learn during their Sunday School sessions. Nurturing a sense of gratitude helps children develop an attitude of thankfulness. This basic understanding paves the way for them to appreciate the people and things they have in life, ultimately building harmony and contentment. This idea can be displayed through Gratitude Tree Craft.

Fostering a positive attitude is also essential in nurturing a well-rounded character. Sunday School lessons often emphasize the importance of understanding God’s guidance and applying it when facing life’s challenges. Developing a positive attitude empowers kids with resiliency, perseverance, and determination to face obstacles with confidence.

Lastly, Sunday School lessons address the concept of pride in a balanced manner. They teach children to be humble and modest while recognizing and appreciating their achievements and talents. By instilling humility in kids, Sunday School lessons contribute to the development of good character and behavior.

By instilling values such as love, attributes of God, God’s love, gratitude, attitude, and pride, children will learn to navigate life and contribute positively to their communities. Through the Gospel message of salvation, children can learn that it will not works alone that get them through the gates of Heaven. We are sinners and while character building in Sunday School offers an essential foundation for kids to grow into responsible and kind individuals, it’s important for children to understand they will sometimes fall short.

Famous Biblical Stories

Popular Bible stories are available throughout the web. If you are just getting started and have no idea where to start, take a look at these parables and stories from the New and Old Testaments.

The Lord’s Prayer

In two places in the New Testament, the Lord teaches us how to pray. The shorter version is found in the Gospel According to Luke chapter 11 verses 2 to 4. The longer version, also known as the Sermon on the Mount, is found in the Gospel According to Matthew chapter 6 verses 9 to 13. Teaching kids to pray can be incorporated into a fun kids’ Sunday school lesson via one of two ways – Coloring the 5-finger prayer template, crafting a prayer cube, or learning the Bible Verses of Salvation.

Lessons from Adam and Eve

apple stack bible minute to win it game for adam and eve leasson for kids

In the story of Adam and Eve, the first man and woman created by God, children learn valuable life lessons. They are introduced to the concept of obedience and the consequences of disobeying God. When Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit, they introduced sin into the world. The story highlights the importance of following God’s commands and making wise choices. Twist up the lesson with a quick one-minute game. Using a traditional Apple Stack Minute to Win it Game as a lesson opener.

Precept from Good Samaritan

The parable of the Good Samaritan teaches us about compassion and love for our neighbors. In this story, a man is beaten by robbers and left on the side of the road. Several people pass by without helping him, but a Samaritan man stops and takes care of the injured man. This lesson teaches children to treat others with kindness, regardless of their background or nationality. For a creative lesson, practice random acts of kindness with fun challenges and activities for your students.

Learning from David and Goliath

ping pong bounce david and goliath sunday schools lesson for teens

The story of David and Goliath showcases the power of faith and trust in God. David, a young shepherd, faces a giant warrior named Goliath. Despite his small stature and lack of experience, David stands against Goliath, armed only with a slingshot and faith in God. David’s bravery and reliance on God teach children the importance of trusting in God, even when facing seemingly insurmountable challenges. To extend a teenage Sunday school lesson, play a fun ping-pong bounce game for teens and older kids.

Inferences from Jesus’ Parables

Jesus taught valuable life lessons through parables. One example is the parable of the Prodigal Son, which tells the story of a son who disrespects his father, squanders his inheritance, and eventually returns home seeking forgiveness. The father welcomes him with open arms, symbolizing God’s unconditional love and forgiveness for those who repent.

gospel message of salvation coloring page for kids

These stories, along with others such as the birth of Jesus, and the New Testament Gospel message of salvation are essential for teaching children important life lessons, morals, and values. They help to lay a strong foundation for a child’s understanding of faith, and being saved, and they can equip them with the tools needed to navigate their world with wisdom and compassion.

In each of these examples, you can see how each lesson can be adapted to a different age group. From Bible skits for older kids to YouTube videos for younger kids to hands-on crafts – learning never stops happening at any age!

Easter Resurrection Garden | Easy Assemble = Big Lesson for Kids

resurrection garden

I am sure many of you have seen these Easter Resurrection Gardens that symbolize Christ’s burial and resurrection.  I saw it at a friend’s house last year and wanted to make sure I did it this year (since it was too late by then to start my own)!  So, that’s what we did today, the LAST day of Spring Break – phew!

resurrection garden items

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Terra Cotta Saucer – about 12″ diameter
  • Terra Cotta Pot – the smallest they have (about 4″ diameter probably)
  • Potting Soil
  • Fast Growing Grass Seed – mine pictured above said it germinates in 5 days!  Hopefully, it does – look for it at Walmart.
  • Twigs for making crosses
  • String or yarn for tying twigs – whatever colors you want.
  • Rocks for a path and one large rock to cover the tomb

What to Do:

soil in saucer

Put about 1/2 inch of soil in the bottom of the saucer, just to cover.

rocks and tomb in saucer

Place the pot on its side toward the back but leave room for Jesus’ cross.  Then place your ‘pathway’ in front.  Our rocks came from our walkway at the house.

soil on top of tomb

Start mounding soil around the tomb creating a hill that covers the top and back.  You may want a spray bottle with water nearby to squirt as you are building so the soil doesn’t slide.

final resurrection garden

Add the grass seed on top (I didn’t realize it would be blue but that’s supposed to help it grow faster!) and spray with the water to go ahead and get it growing.  Then, put the large stone in front of the tomb symbolizing Christ’s burial.  Add three crosses into the soil on the hill.  I chose to use a purple pipe cleaner that we had to secure and signify the Cross of Christ since purple is the symbol of royalty of often used on Christ’s cross.

Keep watering every day to ensure the grass will grow.  I’ve already decided that if mine doesn’t, I am plucking some from the yard and sticking it in there on Sunday!  The grass is important because it symbolizes new life.

Also on Sunday, roll away the rock to reveal the empty tomb!

Make sure to involve the kids with you on this and talk to them about each step.

I have seen this done in a large already-existing potted plant too and that looks equally as beautiful.

Let me know if you decide to do this too – you will need to start tomorrow if you are growing grass!

These candy dice game printable ideas and fun dice game activities are perfect for all the various holidays of the year. Not only does this activity take out the stress of picking and choosing, but it leaves a little bit of tossing the dice luck as well. Dice game printables like this can be used for all the fun holidays in a simple and organized way! Check out all the options below – and get ready to print and let the fun begin!

huge list of fun candy dice games for kids

Using dice as a way to decide the fate of an activity or game never gets dull. In fact, rolling the dice is a simple way for kids and adults can feel as though they’re part of a game without the worry of having too much pressure at the same time.

Because let’s be honest. Sometimes, it’s really hard to decide what candy to choose or what gift to pick. Those decisions can make anyone feel like they’re frozen without an option, and this is where the dice come into play! (literally!)

Forget popular games or board games like Yahtzee, Farkle, and Bunco. The next time that there is a fun holiday or event coming up where there will be choices to be made, make a few dice cookies, and don’t forget to include these dice game printables and a set of dice. The printables will give the answers to the rolls of the dice, making it a great option for everyone to participate in.

Dice Game Rules

Candy dice game rules are simple and easy to follow. In fact, the dice game candy rules are printed and ready to use. Each person gets to take a turn rolling the dice, and whatever number is shown on that dice is matched with the number on the printable.

The only control that the person has is that they get to toss or roll the dice. After that, it’s all in how the dice land! In the gift exchanges, if you roll snake eyes with the dice, then you have to do what the dice game tells you to do for rolling that number. No ifs, and, or butts!

For each dice roll it might mean that you get candy, it could mean that you give candy, or it could mean that you are skipped and have to watch everyone else having and enjoying some of their candy. It’s all in the fun of the game! (and all are in good spirits as well because every roll will have everyone guessing and waiting as to what is going to happen)

Printable Dice Game Options

While I know I’m talking about candy dice game printables, don’t forget that dice games can be used for more than just candy. This type of group game is perfect for gift-giving and receiving as well!

Supplies

The best part about using dice game printables is that you just need a few simple supplies to get started!

  • Dice
  • Paper
  • Printer
  • Downloaded Dice Game Printables

You can easily start with one and then get the rest as the year goes along. I recommend printing on cardstock and then laminating the printable game. This makes it easier to use over and over again!

How do I play dice games?

Each of the candy dice game PDFs includes instructions. However, the concept is easy in this simple game. Add a bunch of candy (or candy bars) to the center of the table. Roll the dice. Look at your number. Follow the instructions.

Sample instructions include…

  • Take one candy
  • Put one candy back
  • Give any player one candy
  • Skip your turn
  • Take one candy from any player
  • Everyone takes one candy

Players will pull from the pile of candy (or each other) until they get the specific number of candies they need to win.

Can I play dice games without dice?

You might be wondering if can you play these dice games without dice (or a dice cup.) Dice games require some type of numeric roll with a six-sided dice however if you do not have dice, there are ways around this.

It’s very easy to roll dice using a dice app on your phone, by making your own paper dice out of a printable cube template, or by using a virtual dice-rolling website.

What is the order of the game?

On the dice game, the rules are listed. However, you can make it your own. You can decide the order of players in this group game. When playing with younger kids, the first player is usually the youngest. The next player is to their left (in clockwise order) or the next youngest player. Players take turns rolling the die. The object of the game is to collect candy or candy bars. The winner of the game gets the present or the most candy.

How many players are needed for these dice games?

The number of players really doesn’t matter but anything in between 3 to 5 players will work best. If you have more than 5 players, split up players into groups and each group will play their own game. If you play with fewer than 3 players, stealing things like candy from your “play of choice” will be really silly – you keep stealing and exchanging with the same person. It will make the end of the game come really quickly. In this case, just add a number of rounds to keep the game going.

Do I need to keep score in this game?

No piece of paper is needed to track the highest score other than the printable dice games. There is no total score in these popular dice game printables. The winner will either unwrap the present or get ten pieces of candy first.  You can create variations and add up the highest total and award prizes for the most points. Make it your own game and grab a piece of paper as a score sheet if this is the die score is the direction you go. It definitely adds math into the equation (no pun intended) if you are playing math games in the classroom.

Everyone has different tastes and needs, so finding the perfect gift can be tough. By giving them cash, you’re giving them the freedom to get something that will truly make them happy. This shows that you care about their happiness and makes your gift all the more special.

The Etiquette Behind Giving Cash

While giving money as a gift was once considered impersonal or inappropriate, the etiquette surrounding this practice has evolved. According to etiquette expert Elaine Swann, founder of The Swann School of Protocol, “Money is an appropriate gift.” It’s important, however, to be mindful of the presentation. Providing cash in a creative, personal, or thoughtful manner can make it a memorable and appreciated gesture suitable for any occasion.

Creative Ways to Gift Money

Who says money can’t buy happiness? In the world of gift-giving, there’s a delightful twist that’s bound to put smiles on faces and twinkle in the eyes.  Sure, money is always welcome, but presenting it in a unique and imaginative way adds a layer of charm and surprise to your gesture. So, let’s get ready to explore some fantastic ideas for turning cash into unforgettable gifts that will have your loved ones beaming with delight.

Origami Money Gifts

One of the most creative ways to give money as a gift this Christmas is by folding bills into origami shapes. You can transform money into animals, flowers, or other decorative figures to make the presentation as thoughtful as the gift itself. Origami money gifts can also double as ornaments for the Christmas tree or an interesting centerpiece for the holiday table.

Unique Money Tree Ideas

This offers a visually appealing way to gift money and can even become a conversation starter during holiday celebrations.
