Halloween Handprint Craft Tips

Because some of the graphics will get covered by your toddler’s handprint, you have options for bringing forth things like the eyes and mouths.

In this set, we’ve given you guides where to place the eyes and mouth. Take a look at these options for how to make them pop!

• Use Googly Eyes where the eyes go for a 3-D Pop (I personally like this set of wiggle eyes where there are googly eyes of different sizes and colors)
• Print a second set of the Halloween handprint prints and allow your child to decorate the eyes and mouth. After the hand print dries, cut out the decorated eyes and mouth. Glue and lay on top of the dried handprint.
• If creating an item with different colors, do this in two steps. For example, paint the palm one color and place on the printable sheet. Once dry, place the finger and apply to the printed sheet. This allows you to add multiple colors without the smudge.

When putting together this Halloween Arts & Crafts, use washable Tempera paint. Print on white cardstock for the best turn out.

DIY Halloween Stickers

As an extra bonus, printable Halloween stickers are also included. These are great to use with handprint art or on their own. The kids will love using them to decorate their artwork, and you’ll love how they add a special touch.

To print your stickers, fill your printer with 8.5 x 11 sticker paper and print as normal. Trim the stickers, peel and add to your art.

How to make a Halloween Silhouette Portrait for Halloween

Transform your Halloween walls into adorable portraits of your extended family this Halloween. This Halloween Gallery Wall is incredibly easy to make. Create these spooky Halloween silhouette portraits that will make any wall pop. This Halloween art is not only so easy, it’s also free. In this low-cost Halloween craft, quickly gather a few supplies and begin.

Supplies

• cardstock

• four black 8 x 10 frames or 11 x 14 frames (if using mats) 

• four white 8.5 x 11 mats

• black printer ink

• Optional: spider web decor for a spooky effect

Instructions

If you are anything traditional or grandmillenial, chances are you love black silhouette portraits of the kids and other family members. During Halloween, don’t forget those extended families. The witches, goblins and mothers you see on occasion. Replace many of your family photos or even kids silhouette portraits with this fun Halloween décor for the wall.

It’s incredibly easy to make silhouette portraits for your DIY Halloween wall décor. Take pre-existing frames and replace the photos with these four free Halloween Silhouette Portrait printables.  These 8.5 x 11 prints can be downloaded and printed at home. Simply sign up for our free Halloween printable library, download and print.

These would look amazing using an 11 x 14 frame with a mat fit for an 8.5 x 11 picture. However, if you have 8×10 mats, you can cut these down to size so that that fit perfectly in your frame. Of course, also feel free to use 8.5 x 11 frames or even 8×10 frames. Please note these are non-editable documents so you can not adjust the size.
