Let’s chat.

Elf on the Shelf Relationship

In the frequently asked Elf on the Shelf questions, we answered sometimes Elf on the Shelf is in love. In this case you will have multiple elves. Not all Scout Elves find a partner but if you have an Elf on the Shelf relationship brewing, take a look at these many ideas for Elf on the Shelf love.

True Love Elf on the Shelf

It’s true love. YOu can always introduce an Elf on the Shelf relationship with a sign. I mean a sign spells it all – right? Plus, emojis express so much emotions (with few words.) So with words and with emoji faces, we have announced we have found True Love.

Supplies

  • The Elf on the Shelf Dolls
  • Cardstock or paper (this is the best cardstock which is perfect for your Elf printables)
  • Markers
  • Tape or Glue
  • Optional: Letterboard

Instructions

Before we play here comes to the bride, we have to announce the relationship. Do you have two elves courting?

Start by coloring two emoji faces on cardstock or printer paper. Draw an emoji kiss face (because of true love’s kiss – duh!) and emoji heart eyes.

Cut out your emojis. Glue or tape to the elve dolls face.

Using a letter board, write the message “true love xoxo”

You can also write this out on paper or type it up.

Display annoucing your Elf on the Shelf relationship. Love is in the air!

Tip: Don’t like to draw? Print out emoji faces, cut and glue to the face of your Elf in love.

Elf on the Shelf Love Ideas

Now that you have a precious second elf, let’s talk about a few Elf on the Shelf in love ideas.

Other ways you can make quite references to love are Elf on the Shelf emojis. Just add cute heart eyes, cut and place with your glue stick.

Elf on the Shelf Emoji Idea

Once Elf is committed, you need an Elf on the Shelf proposal. Grab a ring pops and lots of candy canes to make hearts. In that post, we also have Elf on the Shelf wedding ideas.

After Elf, might come a cute Elf baby. Announce the introduction of an Elf on the Shelf baby with a printable.

Elf on a Shelf can also love you! Download this I love you candy cane printable.

And more than you, Elf on the Shelf can love his host family. Cut out a photo and all your family to I love my family Elf on the Shelf idea.

What is Elf on the Shelf?

Elf on the Shelf is a Christmas Tradition. The tradition has a book and a elf doll. The book is poetic and in rhyme sharing the purpose of the Elf’s visits. The Elf visits each Thanksgiving. He/She goes and returns from the North Pole each evening. Every morning he can be found in a new location in the house. The Elf has been found in the refrigerator, fishing in the toilet, writing messages on the mirror or hanging from the lights. It is VERY IMPORTANT, the Elf is not touch each evening or his Christmas magic will be lost! Each family is able to name their special elf. The elves return to their home (Santa’s North Pole Work shop) every Christmas Eve. An Elf’s Story can also be found on DVD.

Have fun making your own homemade garland. This activity can initially introduced by the Scout Elf on the Shelf. After elf moves the next day, you can continue this fun Christmas craft for kids while enjoying a family movie night or craft day.

How to Make Marshmallow Garland

Homemade marshmallow garland is a fun Christmas activity for kids. You might even start a new Christmas tradition once you create one this year.

To get started on your Elf on the Shelf Marshmallow garland, gather a few supplies.

Supplies

  • The Elf on the Shelf Doll
  • Baker’s Twine (we have used Christmas Twine with Elf many times)
  • Needle
  • Mini Marshmallows
  • Optional: Measuring tape

Instructions

It’s so easy to make marshmallow twine. The two things to warn you about are the time (perhaps put on a good Christmas movie while you craft) and the sharp needle. You need a sharp prick to go all the way through a miniature marshmallow so this Christmas craft might be best for older kids. Little kids can help by moving the marshmallow down the twine once it’s strung on and beyond the large needle.

To begin, thread a needle with Christmas Baker’s Twine. We used this red and white pattern. I cannot tell you how many times I use this roll with our Elf on the Shelf idea – it’s a good item to have on hand for Elf on the Shelf ideas.

You can go ahead and cut the length of string you want, start with five feet. You can also make more garland for the tree or fireplace mantle later.

Use your need and thread your first marshmallow all the way down to the end of the yarn. Tie off that first marshmallow the the others don’t fall off.

Continue to string more fluffy marshmallows onto your DIY garland. You can have the marshmallows touch, but we find a little bit of spacing kind of magical. Perhaps keep the marshmallows about one to three inches apart. Young children can help with spacing.

Once you have all your marshmallows trung, hang your DIY marshmallow garland on the Christmas tree or Christmas mantle. Turn your entire home into an indoor winter wonderland aka marshmallow world.

Check out these other Elf on the Shelf ideas with Marshmallows.

Elf on the Shelf Ideas with Marshmallows

Can I use popcorn for this Christmas garland?

You can replace your marshmallows with other items or even combine items to make a fun pattern. Wouldn’t that be a nice Christmas toddler idea.

Make homemade garland by stringing cranberries, popcorn, gumdrops, cotton balls and more.

  2. Sift together 2 3/4 cups flour, a tsp baking soda powder, & 1 tsp sodium salt into a mixing bowl.

Can I make these chocolate chip cookies ahead?

Yes, this chewy chocolate chip cookies recipe is actually best if made ahead. That doesn’t mean you can’t whip up the recipe and immediately put the mixture in the oven. However, if you can let your mixed cookie dough chill for up to two hours before baking, your cookies will come out nice and fluffy texture. Chilling chocolate chip cookie dough solidifies the fat in the cookies. When baked, it actually prevents spread on a baking pan as the fat in chilled cookie dough takes longer to melt than room temperature fat.

How can I do with these chocolate chip cookies?

Are you afraid these cookies will go to waste? I mean, in our home, there is no such thing as wasted baked desserts. However, if this is not something your family would enjoy more than one bite, take a look at these ideas for your non-necessary cookies.
