Only 3 Ingredients make these easy Easter Carrot Rice Krispie Treats. The kids will have fun with this spring craft for the classroom or an after school snack!

Easter Carrots Rice Krispies Treats

This Rice Krispies Treat Recipe REALLY excites me because they are EASY! Use pre-packaged Kellogg’s Rice Krispie Treats for these yummy edible carrots. As a mommy who is on the go, my favorite part is only two ingredients but a finished adorable treat in the end!

Ingredients:

4 Rice Krispie Treat
6 oz Orange Candy Melting Chips (like Wilton)
Edible Easter Grass or Rips Whips Candy

Easy Easter Carrot Rice Krispies Treats – 3 Ingredients

Ingredients

4 Rice Krispie Treat
6 oz Orange Candy Melting Chips (like Wilton)
Edible Easter Grass or Rips Whips Candy

Cook Mode Prevent your screen from going dark

Instructions

Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
Cut each treat in half lengthwise, then cut each of them in half diagonally.
Take each piece and insert a toothpick in the flat end and place on prepared sheet.
Place in freezer for to minutes.
Melt orange candy by microwaving for 30 seconds, stirring and repeating until melted and smooth.
Pick up each by toothpick and either dip or spoon melted candy over each “carrot” to cover completely.
Return to sheet.
Place in refrigerator for 15 minutes.
Cut several 1″ pieces of the Easter grass or Whips for each carrot.
Take each carrot and carefully remove toothpick. Use the toothpick to enlarge the hole big enough to insert the grass.

Natural Eye Redness Home Remedy

Got Irriation? Eyes that are pink can be nothing but a nuisance. They are not pretty or fun. But it happens, so the best thing to do is to get rid of it as quickly as you can. I do my best to avoid prescriptions in favor of essential oils as a natural treatment. I find this to be a great recipe for my bathroom cabinet. Just 3 Young Living Oils and a little bit of almond oil to create this effective relief from minor redness without resorting to chemicals.

For relief from minor redness, eucalyptus radiata, lavender, and melaleuca are good oils to use – but I wouldn’t use it on children who couldn’t FOR SURE keep their hands away from their eyes all day long, because if they rub it in it will burn! This mixture goes on the outside of your eyes, away from your actual eye.

Ingredients:

15 drops Eucalyptus Radiata
7 drops Lavender
7 drops Melaleuca
1 Tbsp. almond oil
Dropper – I found this one on Amazon that would be perfect for this mixture!

Directions:

Combine eucalyptus, lavender, melaleuca, and almond oil in bottle – shake well. To use: apply a small amount under eye just above the bone. Rub around the eye area like you are painting on glasses. Repeat as needed throughout day taking care to NOT get mixture inside eye at all.

If symptoms persist, see your doctor.

Ready for Spring? Consider this fun Kid’s Food Craft, and easy Easter Neon Deviled Eggs Tutorial. Go ahead and boil your eggs, then instead of coloring the shell, peel them and color the egg white – this fun recipe is another way to “color” hard boiled eggs!

Go outside the box (or carton) with these other creative Easter Egg Dying Ideas.

Ingredients:

12 Eggs
1/2 cup Mayonnaise
2 tbsp Sweet Pickle Relish
4 tsp Mustard
Salt and pepper, for taste
Food coloring

12 Eggs
1/2 cup Mayonnaise
2 tbsp Sweet Pickle Relish
4 tsp Mustard
Salt and pepper, for taste
Food coloring

Instructions

Place eggs in a pan and cover with cold water.
Bring to a boil, cover and turn off heat.
Allow to sit for 9 minutes.
Fill with cold water to stop cooking.
Remove shells.
Slice eggs in half lengthwise.
Remove yolks and place in a bowl.
Fill bowls with 1 cup cold water and 6 drops of food coloring.
Divide cooked egg white halves evenly between the different colors.
Allow whites to sit for 15 minutes or until desired color is reached.
Place Colored egg whites on paper towels to dry.
Mash yolks with a fork and stir in mayonnaise, pickle relish, and mustard.
Salt and pepper, to taste.
Mix until consistency is smooth and creamy.
Transfer mixture to zippered bag or piping bag and clip corner for piping.
Pipe mixture into cooked egg whites and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Divide cooked egg white halves evenly between the different colors – we did blue, green and pink.

Allow whites to sit for 15 minutes or until desired color is reached (longer for darker, shorter for lighter.)

Next, place Colored egg whites on paper towels to dry.

Move over to your yolks. Mash yolks with a fork and stir in mayonnaise, pickle relish, and mustard.

Add salt and pepper as needed to taste.

Mix until consistency is smooth and creamy.

Transfer mixture to zippered bag or piping bag and clip corner for piping.

Pipe mixture into cooked egg whites and refrigerate until ready to serve.

20 Uses for Thieves Oil

If you are looking to turn to oils to cut down on the chemicals in your home from cleaning and beauty products I recommend adding Thieves oil to your first purchase. There are so many beneficial uses for it that it is a must in your essential oil arsenal– it is antibacterial, antiseptic, antiviral, antiseptic, and antifungal.

Here are just 20 of my favorite ways to use Thieves Oil. Don’t forget current Essential Oil Deals.

Floor Cleaner – Add 5 drops to a sinkful of water to help clean and sanitize floors.
All-Purpose Cleaner – Fill a bottle ¾ full of water, fill the rest of the way with vinegar, add 12 drops Thieves oil and spray surfaces, allow to sit 5 minutes, wipe away.
General Disinfectant – Add several drops of Thieves to a bottle of purified water, spray on shopping carts, public toilets, water fountains,etc..
DIY Toothpaste – Combine 2-3 drops with 1 Tbsp. baking soda for homemade toothpaste.
Hand Soap – Add Thieves to your favorite homemade soap (or hand sanitizer) recipe.
Cleaning Toys – Add 10 drops to a spray bottle of water, spritz toys and allow to sit for 10 minutes, rinse and dry.
Mouth Irritations- Apply a drop or two to a couple drops carrier oil and apply directly to affected area.
Relieve Bug Bites – Add a drop or two to bite to relieve stinging and itching.
Building Immunity – Mix with a carrier oil such as almond oil and rub into children’s and adults feet nightly, cover with socks. This goes well with the Homemade Chest Rub.
Air purifier – Diffuse for 15 minutes, once or twice a day, especially during cold and flu season to clean the air.
Sore Throat Spray – Add Thieves oil to purified water, and a couple drops of peppermint. Shake up in a small spray bottle- spray into back of throat as needed for relief.
Aches and Pains – Combine a tsp. of carrier oil with 2 drops Thieves
Laundry Boost – Add 5 drops to laundry load for cleaning and deodorizing.
Sanitize Dishwasher – Sprinkle a few drops inside dishwasher, run one empty load. This will help sanitize and eliminate odors.
Deodorize Pet Bedding – Use a spray bottle full of water with several drops oil to mist over pet bedding to clean and deodorize.
Bug repellent – Repel aphids on plants by combining 4 oz. water with 3 drops oil, mist plants.
Relieve Sinus Irritations – Add a few drops to a bowl of steaming water, cover your head with a towel and inhale the vapors.
Head Relief – Put a drop on your thumb and press to the roof of your mouth for 2 minutes.
DIY Dryer Sheet – Dampen a washcloth, add several drops of oil, toss into dryer.

No-Chun Cherry Cheesecake Ice Cream

Ready for a cooler dessert after this winter spell? Try this No-Churn Easy Cheesecake Ice Cream. This recipe requires minimum ingredients and and easy to do in your home. Mix it up with pumpkin or blueberry for different ice cream flavors – a different dessert pick for everyone in the home!

Ingredients:

2 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
14 oz Sweetened Condensed Milk
8 oz softened Cream Cheese
2 tsp Vanilla
2 cup Cherry Pie Filling
3 tbsp Sugar

Directions:

In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until creamy and smooth.
Using a electric whisk, add condensed milk and vanilla, whisking until smooth.
Add in vanilla extract and heavy cream. Whisk on high speed until soft peaks form.
Spread half of this mixture into a loaf pan.
Spoon cherry filling over the whipped mixture.
Top with remaining cream mixture, spreading evenly.
Using a knife, drag or swirl the cherry mixture into the cream mixture.
Cover with foil and freeze for 6 hours or until firm.

Homemade Sugar Scrub Featuring Essential Oils

Homemade body products are very popular right now, whether they are for your own use or to give as a homemade gift. They are much more frugal than their store bought counterparts, you can eliminate unnecessary chemicals, and customize your scent combinations using Essential Oils. One of my favorite items to make is a sugar scrub. Easy, decadent, and I almost always have the items on hand. Need a last minute present for a new mom who could use some pampering? A thoughtful teacher gift? Or perhaps you yourself just need a mini spa pamper… Homemade Sugar Scrubs are your answer.

You Will Need:

1 cup granulated sugar
½ cup oil- almond, olive, or coconut
1 Tbsp. pure castile soap
Young Living Lavender Essential Oils of your choice.

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in a medium sized bowl.
Add more sugar or oil to create the perfect texture for you.
Begin adding your oils 2-3 drops at a time until desired scent strength is reached.

Relaxing – Lavender, Peace and Calming, Stress Away
Invigorating – Peppermint, Lemon, Orange, Joy
