Gingerbread Sugar Scrub

Gingerbread is one of the quintessential elements of the holidays! It’s warm, comforting, spicy and sweet. Everything you’d want in a cookie as well as a sugar body scrub! Just a little bit of this scrub for your hands under running warm water will leave them smooth and smelling delicious! Take it into the shower too and scrub your shoulders, elbows, knees and feet. You’ll feel revitalized with all of these lovely spicy smells! Make a few extra jars to give as gifts and label them with this adorable FREE Printable! So sweet!

Ingredients:

1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
¾ cup coconut oil (or other carrier oil)
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon allspice
½ teaspoon ginger
½ teaspoon nutmeg
Additional Materials:
Mason-style jars with lids
Printable gift tags (print on white cardstock for best results)
Optional: Ribbon to wrap around jars

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Mixing with clean hands helps to warm up the coconut oil and better blend into the other ingredients.
Scoop into mason jars and attach lids tightly. (Jars shown in photo are Ball Collection Elite Design Series Half Pint Jars)
Cut out printed labels for jars. Use double sided tape or a strong glue to place a label on top of each jar. You may also use a single hole punch to punch a hole in the top of the gift tag and wrap it on the jar using a thin ribbon.

This recipe yields 2.5 cups of body scrub.

To use the Gingerbread Sugar Scrub: Gently apply a scoopful and scrub onto wet skin in a circular motion – concentrating on dry areas and rough patches. Rinse skin clean using warm water.

Sugar Scrub should be stored at room temperature and stays fresh for up to 4 weeks.

Material & Ingredients:

Printable Gift Tags (printed on white cardstock for best results)
Ribbon (9.5 mm cut to 7” pieces in length)
Hot Glue
Scissors
Single Hole Punch

Directions:

Place the 7” inch cut ribbon on a flat surface.
Using a hot glue gun, add a line of glue to the end of one edge of the ribbon.

Pull the glue side up to meet the other end of the ribbon, and hold to allow the glue to set.
After glue is set, pull the ribbon through to allow the glued edges to be hidden behind the tag.
Place the tag on the neck of a bottle of wine before gifting.

Directions:

Insert 8 Rolos in bottom of bag.
Insert 6 each of purple, green, yellow, orange and red Skittles in bag.
Add 6 mini marshmallows to bag.

Candy Dot Tutorial and Recipe

Candy Dots were a huge party of my childhood. My brother and I would sell lemonade on the golf course on Saturdays and then run to the corner store to use our quarters to buy these delicious candies. Being able to share these tiny candies with my children provides me a way to reminise and pass down this childhood favorite. Use this FREE Candy Dot Template and have fun making these timeless treats with your little ones.

Ingredients:

1 Pasteurized Egg White or 1 tbsp Meringue Powder
2 cup Powdered Sugar
1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract (optional)
Food Coloring
FREE Candy Dot Template (see below)

Directions:

If you are using meringue powder, use 1 tbsp meringue powder and 3 tbsp water in plave of egg white.
Whisk egg white until frothy.
Slowly add powdered sugar until incorporated and peaks form.
Add vanilla flavoring if desired.
Divide equally into as many bowls as you want to color.
Add one drop of color at a time to each bowl to achieve desire color.
Beat until color is uniform.
Transfer each color to a zippered sandwich bag.
Print dot paper template and place under each paper you will be piping onto as you do it.
Clip a very small tip off of one corner of each bag and pipe dots onto unprinted sheets.
Allow to set for 2 hours before cutting strips apart.

We love this Pillow Box Template. It’s so easy to print, fold and fill! Give your sweetie chocolates, tart candies or maybe a gift card to their favorite ice cream shop or coffee spot. Anyway you fill it, they will love it! As far as Valentine’s go, it’s fairly gender neutral so, a gentlemen or your little guy will enjoy it just as well as your wife, friend or favorite girl. We also use this template for Spring treat giving too!

Supplies:

Valentine Pillow Box Printable (see below)
Cardstock

Get this pillow box printable and all of Frugal Coupon Living’s Free Printables. Enter your name and email address and we will send you a link and password for access to your free downloads.

Directions:

Download the Valentine Pillow Box Printable (above).
Fill the printer with cardstock and print out (the craft works fine with regular paper, but cardstock holds best).
Cut out the template.
Roll and place glue on the gray “glue here” tab.
Hold and set. We suggest making sure the glue is truly dry. Let the pillow box sit awhile while the glue continues to dry.
Once the glue is try, fold in the edges. Fill with candy or sweet Valentine notes.

To Order Your Printables at Staples*:

Download and save your image from this post. (Please note these images are for personal use only and cannot be sold or used for commercial use.)

Return to Staples print service page.
Go to Start Project.
Go to Documents Printing.
Select the Buy Now Button under color.
On the left column, select your file.

Give your job a name.
Make sure your project is single sided. The orientation should be landscape.
I changed my media to 8.5×10 and the media to 67 lb coverstock (I prefer a cardstock feel over printer paper feel.)
Select add to cart.
Proceed to checkout. My total was $0.17 for one print. You can choose to ship to your home or to pick up at your local store. Pay online and show your invoice when you pick up (I just show the order number on my phone at pick-up.) The order invoice will arrive in your email inbox.
