Feeling overwhelmed? Have you stepped on your last LEGO or have you yelled for the very last time “clean up your room“? I get it. With five kids and too many spaces to organize, I have had to lead my kids into creating better organizational habits.

Guide your child to developing new organizational skills with a printable resource and guide; a printable 7-Day Kid’s Declutter Challenge Checklist PDF.

In this seven day cleaning challenge, kids will how to clean their bedroom room in small steps. In seven days time, they will have a clean space organized and free of clutter.

How to Clean Your Room for Kids

In this tidy up challenge, steps are broken down into days, leading your child on a decluttering journey.

Day 1: Pick up any toys that are on the floor and sort through them. Keep your favorites & get rid of the ones you no longer play with.

Day 2: Make your bed and clean up under the bed. Throw away any garbage and put away what you want to keep. Tidy up your nightstand.

Day 3: Pick up any dirty clothes lying around and put them in your laundry hamper & vacuum entire floor. Don’t forget under the bed!

Day 4: Tidy up your closet. Ask mom or dad to help you sort through your clothing. Keep your favorites & get rid of the ones you no longer need.

Day 5: Organize all of your books & art supplies. Tidy up your workspace.

Day 6: Tidy up your playroom floor and go through your toys. Put way the toys you want and get rid of the toys you no longer play with

Day 7: Vacuum your playroom floor and finish tidying up. Make sure everything is in its place!

Hey Mom! This list can be overwhelming. This is why we have broken it down in seven days. It is important the first time you attempt this list, you model steps for your child. Instead of investing hours in each day, set a timer and do each day’s task for 20 minutes. You can repeat it in future weeks. If this is something that will not be challenging for your child, take all 7 days and knock it out in one day or weekend.

Also take a look at our daily/weekly kid’s cleaning checklist. This can keep your hard work maintained and also sets responsibilities and good daily habits for your child. We suggest laminating the checklist and letting them complete it on a certain day of the week, on the weekend, weekly or even daily! Adapt the timeline to what works in your home.

You can use these printable games inside the classroom, for events like a class party, or save for outside the classroom for birthday parties, family events, and more.

What is Bingo?

Bingo is an international game in which players mark off numbers (or pictures) on cards. As the numbers (or pictures) are drawn randomly by a caller, the player marks off the called number (picture). The winner is the first person to mark off five numbers in a row or another required pattern (horizontal, four corners, a diagonal pattern, or even the entire board.)

What are the Bingo Rules?

The rules of Bingo are simple. The rules can change slightly each game, as the caller determines the pattern for winning.

Each player gets one card. Cards should be different for each player.
In addition to a player, there is a caller.
The caller determines the winning pattern for each game. Five in a row (column, diagonal line, four corners, or a full board.)
The caller calls out a number (or picture.)
The player marks of that number (or picture.) A stamp, marker, or object can be used to mark off the number (or picture).
The caller and player continue this rhythm.
When a player gets the winning pattern, they call out loudly “bingo”
The caller determines the player has one.
A new game can begin or the caller can call until a second (third, fourth…) winner occurs.

Stick with the theme. These are seasonal games, so consider seasonal prizes. If you are playing Bingo in a classroom, ask your parents to donate non-food prizes. Since you are playing many rounds of Bingo, keep prizes simplistic as larger prizes would be too much.

When is Earth Day? It is April 22nd. This Earth day, embrace these Earth Day Crafts Ideas for Kids to raise awareness and support for protecting our environment with your children.

Every year, we celebrate Earth Day on April 22nd to raise awareness and support for protecting our environment. It’s important to start talking to your kids from an early age about ways we can do our part to lessen our impact on the planet. These Earth Day Crafts are a great catalyst for those discussions.

As you craft with your kids, making models and depictions of Earth, talk about ways to save water and reduce pollution. Earth Day Challenge

We have our very own challenge for you. Incorporate the kids and take this Low Waste Earth Day Challenge for the entire month of April. I bet you already do many of these things already. Once you complete the month, is there something you can continue and perhaps make a new habit?

Use a refillable stainless steel water bottle
Use a reusable coffee cup/thermos (even when buying coffee)
Get a library card and borrow books and magazines instead of buying prints (or join Audible and listen to books)
Use a bamboo toothbrush (instead of a plastic one)
Say no to free promo items
Use bar soap instead of liquid soap (less packaging)
Use reusable shopping and produce bags
Shop your local farmers market, bring a reusable bag
Plan meals to avoid food waste
Collect and re-purpose rain or grey water
Have your shoes and clothes repaired instead of buying new
Run full loads in the dish washer and laundry
Focus on experiences instead of things
Change all your bills to paperless (electronic)
Join carpools or use public transport
Plant a garden (even if it is small)
Carry your own reusable straw
Reduce the amount of consumption of toothpaste, shampoo, etc
Don’t impulse shop – stop, think method
Avoid palm oil (responsible for much of the world’s deforestation)
Upcycle and re-purpose as much as you can
Pack your own lunch in a reusable container

The steps will turn you into an environmentally conscious earth member (wink) and get you family closer to a zero waste home!

Have your PDF, Word Document or printable saved to a folder on your computer.
Sign in or create a Staples account.
Return to the Staples Printing Service Page.
Scroll down to Self-Service printing.
Go to Start Project.
Go to Documents Printing.
Select Browse.
Select the Buy Now Button under color.
In the left column, choose add file(s).
Select upload files (to upload a file from your computer).
Add more files or select the blue upload button.
Select done.
Give your job a name in the top left column.
Choose color or B&W.
Make sure your project is single sided. (You can choose double sided if you need.)
Choose the correct orientation of your project – landscape or portrait.
I changed my media to 8.5×11 67 lb card/coverstock (I prefer a card stock feel over printer paper feel. It makes the paper very durable and sturdy.)
Save your product to Staples or select add to cart on the bottom right.
Proceed to checkout.
