This 4th of July bucket list printable is a great family activity to work on during the July 4th weekend, or make it a full week project!

July 4th is a very celebrated holiday for many Americans. It’s a national holiday and most people have the day off from work to enjoy time with family.

It’s a time to get together and honor our country’s independence. Many families already do this by enjoying very American things like hosting BBQs, pool parties, baseball games, or fireworks displays.

4th of July Bucket List Printable

July 4th Bucket List Printable PDF

A new way your family can work together to honor our nation’s birthday is with this bucket list! With this activity, everyone works together to complete the tasks on the printable. These can be done over the July 4th weekend or you can make it into a full week.

Some of the tasks you’ll complete on the 4th of July Bucket List include:

  • Attend a BBQ
  • Take a hike
  • Eat snow cones
  • Make a red, white, and blue recipe (like our Firecracker Cookies)
  • Watch a parade
  • Light sparklers at night
  • Go to the lake
  • Have a water balloon fight
  • Eat watermelon

Many of these activities are likely things your family enjoys doing during the hot summer days already. I know we go swimming a lot and a water balloon fight is always a great way to cool off too. Why not turn these activities into a fun challenge?!

The printable also has some blank lines so you can fill in your own activities you want to do in order to honor America’s independence. Maybe something to do with learning more about the Declaration of Independence, perhaps? Get creative, and add tasks that your family has never done before! It’s great to see what new ways of celebrating  you can come up with.

Is your child’s bedroom and play area drowning in stuff? Download our free 7-day declutter challenge PDF. This one task a day cleaning checklist keeps your child from becoming overwhelmed and guides them to creating a new organized space!

Declutter Challenge for Kids

Feeling overwhelmed? Have you stepped on your last LEGO or have you yelled for the very last time “clean up your room“? I get it. With five kids and too many spaces to organize, I have had to lead my kids into creating better organizational habits.

Guide your child to developing new organizational skills with a printable resource and guide; a printable 7-Day Kid’s Declutter Challenge Checklist PDF.

In this seven day cleaning challenge, kids will how to clean their bedroom room in small steps. In seven days time, they will have a clean space organized and free of clutter.

How to Clean Your Room for Kids

In this tidy up challenge, steps are broken down into days, leading your child on a decluttering journey.

Day 1:  Pick up any toys that are on the floor and sort through them. Keep your favorites & get rid of the ones you no longer play with.

Day 2: Make your bed and clean up under the bed. Throw away any garbage and put away what you want to keep. Tidy up your nightstand.

Day 3: Pick up any dirty clothes lying around and put them in your laundry hamper & vacuum entire floor. Don’t forget under the bed!

Day 4: Tidy up your closet. Ask mom or dad to help you sort through your clothing. Keep your favorites & get rid of the ones you no longer need.

Day 5: Organize all of your books & art supplies. Tidy up your workspace.

Day 6: Tidy up your playroom floor and go through your toys. Put way the toys you want and get rid of the toys you no longer play with

Day 7: Vacuum your playroom floor and finish tidying up. Make sure everything is in its place!

Hey Mom! This list can be overwhelming. This is why we have broken it down in seven days. It is important the first time you attempt this list, you model steps for your child. Instead of investing hours in each day, set a timer and do each day’s task for 20 minutes. You can repeat it in future weeks. If this is something that will not be challenging for your child, take all 7 days and knock it out in one day or weekend.

Also take a look at our daily/weekly kid’s cleaning checklist. This can keep your hard work maintained and also sets responsibilities and good daily habits for your child. We suggest laminating the checklist and letting them complete it on a certain day of the week, on the weekend, weekly or even daily! Adapt the timeline to what works in your home.

Easter Egg Games | Easter Party, Egg Hunt, Family Traditions & More

Does Easter ever free like a neglected holiday to you? As a Christian, Easter is truly the most important holiday. It feels as though there is little build-up to the actual day and very little more than a visit to the church and an Easter Egg Hunt.

What do you do on Easter?

Beyond the traditional Easter egg hunt and visit to the church, consider a new Easter Tradition with Easter games. If you wish to turn Easter into a greater celebration, take a look at these Easter Games for Adults, Kids, Families, Friends, Small Groups, and Large Gatherings. It fits a small family of three and a large crowd of dozens.

The year Easter was canceled (the year we must not name), we decide to twist up the traditional Easter ideas. Instead of attending a large Easter Egg Hunt at Church, we had our own small family Easter Egg hunt. My older kids hid Easter Eggs for the younger kids and after finding our eggs, everyone filled their stomachs with jelly beans and chocolate (gross – does that idea of that make anyone else sick?)

Well, it didn’t make my kids sick. Instead, it made all five kids excitable on a lot of sugar. We created a new Easter Family tradition by playing outdoor Easter games. It was a beautiful day and I was all about running off steam and enjoying the beautiful blue sky day.

What are some fun Easter games?

This list of Easter game ideas includes Traditional Easter Games. What are traditional Easter games? Some examples of traditional games include the law Easter Egg Roll. Read more about that below but basically try to roll a raw egg across a finish line with your nose or a spoon. You also could turn a ball toss into a carrot toss or play pin the tail on the bunny (similar to pin the tail on the donkey game.)

We also have examples of Unique Easter Games like Easter bowling lined with brightly colored pool noodles and adorable bunny bowling pins.
