Best Run Disney Weekends with Friends

Disney World is a destination for all, and it makes the perfect destination for friends that enjoy an active vacation spent together. The runDisney program makes it easy to participate in a marathon, half marathon or 5K event through the happiest place on Earth with your favorite people. Before and after the run you are able to put together a grown up weekend away with friends right in the parks and each event comes with the chance for an exclusive party filled with perks.

While all of the runDisney events are excellent fun, these are some of the best to participate in when you have a group of friends along for the fun.

Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend

This weekend is all about getting together with your best friends and packing as much fun as possible into a single weekend. This event is all about dressing up as your favorite Disney Princess, think tutus and tiaras, and running for a cause. If a half marathon isn’t possible for some of the members of your group, there are shorter, less intense, races they can participate in too so no one is left out of the fun. Cap off your weekend with special entertainment brought in just for the race, character events and photo opps for the entire group and one of the best after party celebrations you’ve ever been too held in Downtown Disney. This event is all about having fun and finding your inner princess and creating some magical memories with your girlfriends!

Expedition Everest Challenge

No one needs s Sherpa wiht this Everest Challenge. For the super competitive group of friends that dream about competing in events like, The Amazing Race, the Expedition Everest Challenge was made for you. Held at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park, this event is part run part obstacle course, making it a great choice for anyone that enjoys competing as part of a team. The run is 5K, making it possible for all levels of runner to participate, only the race course is interspersed with challenged obstacles you need to overcome before moving on. Because of the obstacles, this challenge is most fun when done with friends, there to help you get through each portion, but also to motivate and compete amongst yourselves. Compete with others, compete with yourself, compete with your group – proveonce and for all which of you is really the best.

Disney Wine and Dine Half Marathon Weekend

Did someone say Wine? Everyone knows that the best way to enjoy a bottle of wine is with friends, making the Wine & Dine Festival a friend friendly way to spend a few days. Now you can wound off a weekend spent indulging in some of the best food and wine from around the world with a half marathon. Get your best friends together for this exciting event and the promise of even more great food and wine at the finish line. Runners get to make their way through three parks, mingle with some of the best chefs in the world and dance the night away to more of the popular bands and groups that are brought it for the festival. This event is all about having a great time with friends no matter how fast you run, and then eating and sipping wine to celebrate.

I know MANY of you use Facebook and you are not getting Frugal Coupon Living Updates in your newsfeed, there are a few solutions. I will offer help with Facebook and I will also share with you other Social Media Links – cause some of you have shared you see more in Pinterest than Facebook!

This gives you a little inside to deals I think are happening, are visually appealing and also gives you insight into my family (cause how cute are those little ladies?) If you are not using instagram, consider it. It is a great place to put all your photos and you can send the images to your Twitter and Faecbook account when they post. I like places many of my photos in both places.

Great place where I arrange boards. Everything form crafts, to recipes to deals. I do sort by store, type of deal (Free, Kindles, etc) and Seasonal Activities. Pinterest has taken off and MANY of you are repinning and getting to Frugal Coupon Living via this Social Network.

Hallmark and America’s favorite reality TV family have teamed up to make a line of fun greeting cards. I was sent a box to review and I was “ Happy, Happy, Happy!”. That’s how this awesome big pack of greeting cards from Hallmark made me feel when I opened it up and checked them out. I love Duck Dynasty and since I have so many friends and family members who are mega fans too, each and every one will go to good use. Except the one autographed by Jase-that one is going straight into a frame on the wall. You can win a pack for yourself, don’t forget to enter the giveaway.

The cards are super fun with oversized Duck Dynasty stars heads, full body photos, and they all have fun quotes made famous by our favorite rednecks on T.V. You know since Hallmark’s name is on the back that they are quality cards- “That’s a fact, Jack!” The Hallmark line of Duck Dynasty cards have Thanksgiving, Christmas, Birthday, and Father’s Day Card’s. Decorated with pictures of the stars from the show; Ms. Kay, Willie, Jase, Uncle Si, Phil, and yes of course everyone’s favorite goofy relative- Uncle Si. We all have one of those somewhere in our family don’t we?

Something about getting real mail instead of an email is just so much more personal and when your favorite “characters” are on the card that just puts it over the top! You can send a text, email, Instagram, or private message on Facebook in a second. But taking the time to carefully choose a card for a loved one and mail it means you really put some thought into them, and that means a lot. I think in our high tech world the personal touch is being lost, and greeting cards are a great way to bring it back. I think “Work Hard, Play Hard, Nap Hard” pretty much sums up all occasions.

You don’t have to be a hunter or even a redneck to enjoy this happy, joking clan whose motto is “Faith, Family, and Facial hair”. If you are a fan of the show you know that they mean it, and of course they would want to be part of wishing someone well on their special day. So say Happy Birthday with Mama Kay or Merry Christmas with the bearded brothers and make it really stand out.
