The runDisney program makes it easy to participate in a marathon, half marathon or 5K event through the happiest place on Earth with your favorite people. Before and after the run you are able to put together a grown up weekend away with friends right in the parks and each event comes with the chance for an exclusive party filled with perks.
While all of the runDisney events are excellent fun, these are some of the best to participate in when you have a group of friends along for the fun.
Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend
This weekend is all about getting together with your best friends and packing as much fun as possible into a single weekend. This event is all about dressing up as your favorite Disney Princess, think tutus and tiaras, and running for a cause. If a half marathon isn’t possible for some of the members of your group, there are shorter, less intense, races they can participate in too so no one is left out of the fun. Cap off your weekend with special entertainment brought in just for the race, character events and photo opps for the entire group and one of the best after party celebrations you’ve ever been too held in Downtown Disney. This event is all about having fun and finding your inner princess and creating some magical memories with your girlfriends!

For the super competitive group of friends that dream about competing in events like, The Amazing Race, the Expedition Everest Challenge was made for you. Held at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park, this event is part run part obstacle course, making it a great choice for anyone that enjoys competing as part of a team. The run is 5K, making it possible for all levels of runner to participate, only the race course is interspersed with challenged obstacles you need to overcome before moving on. Because of the obstacles, this challenge is most fun when done with friends, there to help you get through each portion, but also to motivate and compete amongst yourselves. Compete with others, compete with yourself, compete with your group – proveonce and for all which of you is really the best.
