Potlucks can be a lot of fun, particularly during the holiday season. Make one dish, enjoy many dishes. These Thanksgiving Potluck Recipes include easy main dinner entrees, side dishes, and desserts. Use these Thanksgiving Potluck ideas for a friendsgiving or family gathering.

Thanksgiving Potluck Recipes

Potlucks can be a lot of fun, particularly during the holiday season. You’re only responsible for making one dish, but you get to enjoy many dishes! And this puts less stress on the hostess—after all, putting a Thanksgiving dinner together for a large group can be intimidating!

What should I bring to a Thanksgiving Potluck?

The best thing about a fall potluck is you immediately have a theme – Thanksgiving. That makes what to bring to a  Thanksgiving potluck rather limited. Thanksgiving pot luck ideas typically include the main dishes, vegetable side dishes and a savory dessert. It’s important when planning a Thanksgiving Potluck to come up with a Thanksgiving menu. This can be done where food is already listed and people sign up or you can list the food you plan to make and bring to the party. This will ensure no one brings the same recipe – It would be a bit scary to end up with 22 roast turkey breasts (those poor birds.)

Sign Up Genuis is an excellent tool for planning a Friendsgiving Potluck with family, coworkers and/and friends. You can invite guests, have some Thanksgiving games to bring, and allow them to sign up for something from a list of Thanksgiving Potluck recipe ideas. This can include a list of Thanksgiving dishes or a list of ingredients like whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, apples and more. In this case, everyone would gather and prepare the the Friendsgiving meal ideas together.

Tip: If you’re hosting or helping with a Friendsgiving dinner, check out our Friendsgiving Thanksgiving Ideas with tips and tricks to throw a memorable holiday meal with your friends.

M&M Poem for Thanksgiving

This cute Thanksgiving tag comes with a memorable and thoughtful Thanksgiving poem.

As you hold these candies in your hand, turn them and you will see, the W becomes an E, a M and then a 3.

W is for the welcome, all the people that really matter.

E is for eat, a large table set to gather.

M is for many, our blessings throughout the entire year.

3 is for 3.14, a ratio of pie for which to cheer.

Canned Pumpkin Recipe Ideas for Fall

We recently moved to the “woods.” The woods meaning we have a lot of trees in our backyard but we still are three miles from the District of Columbia. I have been used to starting out a small kitchen window watching the leaves of the two trees I had in my backyard change colors. As soon as that first leave fell, all things pumpkin came forth. Who are we kidding, I was mixing pumpkin puree in recipes well before that leaf fell but it definitely aided in the fall recipe choices.

These fall recipes include some of your favorites using canned pumpkin puree. A collection of the best and easiest recipes for fall. Find healthy pumpkin recipes, savory pumpkin recipes, and sweet pumpkin recipes. Enjoy a warm pumpkin soup, twist up your favorite pasta dish, and blend a pumpkin puree smoothie for a healthy start to the day.

Birthday Family Traditions

Let’s talk about family traditions for the birthday. I have learned (as I have had more kids) to keep it simple but special. While that can sound like an oxymoron, it’s important for us to keep the cost low but celebrate the child. One way we have kept birthdays family focused is by having a birthday celebration with friends, every other year. Then every year, we also have a family celebration. Sometimes, we choose to vacation (even if it’s only a weekend getaway) during the overlap of a birthday to make the child feel extra loved while surrounded by those that love her/him most.

Birthday Family Traditions and Celebrations

Take a look a these family birthday traditions in our original post idea – Family Birthday Celebrations.

Birthday Time Capsule

One way to celebrate your child is to continue a birthday time capsule. You can begin with a first birthday time capsule that you add to every year. This can be smaller box just to represent the first year of life or you can create a large memory box you add to each year. One idea is to go through art work, photographs, saved school work, special moments and see what you want to keep or toss. This is a quick and easy way to declutter as well as save what is important in a yearly time capsule.

These cool temps have me shopping for warmer clothes! Anyone else?

If you are doing some Back to Fall shopping (is that a thing?) take a look at Rakuten. Formerly Ebates (What is Ebates?), Rakuten is a source for which to get cash back on purchase you were already going to make.

Head to Rakuten before redirecting to Old Navy, Children’s Place, Kohl’s, Target, Pottery Barn and more of your favorite stores. Once redirected, make your purchase and get cash back on your purchases.

I don’t normally share these cash back deals, however this one was too good not to share. Right now when you sign up for Rakuten, get $30 Cash Back when you spend $30 (or more) at your favorite store. I already spent $100 this weekend trying to get warm clothes for my three boys and I am not even done, how fast could you spend $30 on winter needs?

Sign up for Rauken today for $30 Cash Back

Today get 10% cash back at many favorite places like Macy’s, Overstock, QVC, Disney, Michael’s Crafts, Gap, Shoes.com, American Eagle and more.

This offer is good now through the end of the year (December 31, 2020.) Once you sign up, you must spend $30 within 90 days. I believe it is good for new customers only. Accounts are based on email addresses, so sign up with a new email address or if you are an existing customer, refer your friends so they (and you) can get $30 cash back too. YOu do not have to have the bookmark or navigation tool to shop. You can get cash back with a website redirection.

Head to Rauken then go and shop your favorite stores!
