Almond Joy Truffles Recipe

You guys loved our Copycat Almond Joy, this time we wanted to show you another way to make these delicious treats – Truffles! This recipe couldn’t be easier! Mix everything but the chocolate, roll into bite sized balls, pop in the fridge for a bit. Then dip in melted chocolate, drizzle and devour! They’re perfectly pop-able bites. YUM! Serve on a platter at a party or package up and give as sweet gifts.

Ingredients:

  • 4 cup coconut flakes
  • 3 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
  • 8 oz. slivered almonds
  • 16 oz. package chocolate (I used regular milk chocolate chips)
  • 4 oz. white chocolate

Directions:

  1. Line a baking sheet with wax paper.
  2.  In a large bowl, mix the coconut, sugar, sweetened condensed milk, and almonds.
  3. Shape into 1 inch balls and place on wax paper. ( if they are not perfectly round, its ok you can reshape them easier after they are cold.)
  4. Refrigerate for at least one hour until firm.
  5. Melt Chocolate in intervals of 30 seconds in the microwave until thoroughly melted or melt over a double broiler on the stovetop.
  6. Dip the coconut balls into the chocolate and place on wax paper.
  7. Let the truffles sit until hard, 5-10 minutes.
  8. Melt the white chocolate just the same as the milk chocolate until thoroughly melted.
  9. Place in a small ziploc bag and cut a small hole in one corner.
  10. Carefully drizzle white chocolate over truffles.
  11. Let sit until hard, 5-10 minutes.

What is Elf on the Shelf?

Elf on the Shelf is a Christmas Tradition. The tradition has a book and a elf doll. The book is poetic and in rhyme sharing the purpose of the Elf’s visits. The Elf visits each Thanksgiving. He/She goes and returns from the North Pole each evening. Every morning he can be found in a new location in the house. The Elf has been found in the refrigerator, fishing in the toilet, writing messages on the mirror or hanging from the lights. It is VERY IMPORTANT, the Elf is not touch each evening or his Christmas magic will be lost! Each family is able to name their special elf. The elves return to their home (Santa’s North Pole Work shop) every Christmas Eve. An Elf’s Story can also be found on DVD

Online you can find ENDLESS Elf on the Shelf Accessories, Books, Games and Toys.
