Grab some Gum Drops and allow Elf to have fun making a Gum Drop Ball. Use Elmer’s Glue, Icing for eating, or Toothpicks (cut them down to a smaller size) for something that holds stronger.

He/She goes and returns from the North Pole each evening. Every morning he can be found in a new location in the house. The Elf has been found in the refrigerator, fishing in the toilet, writing messages on the mirror or hanging from the lights. It is VERY IMPORTANT, the Elf is not touch each evening or his Christmas magic will be lost! Each family is able to name their special elf. The elves return to their home (Santa’s North Pole Work shop) every Christmas Eve. An Elf’s Story can also be found on DVD

Elf goes fishing – using the kitchen sink, the play kitchen, or the toilet, use goldfish for elf to have fun. I used some fishing wire, and a skewer for our fishing rod. It was fun to place a fish on the hook!

Tips: Don’t forget to use wire for your Bendable Elf on the Shelf! Also you can find this play kitchen on sale on Amazon and at Walmart.

Crock-Pot Baked Potatoes Recipe

Check out this easy slow cooker recipe for making the perfect tender side for your dinner entree’.

Ingredients:

  • 6 large Baking Potatoes
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • Kosher or Sea Salt to taste
  • Fresh Ground Pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. Scrub and dry potatoes.
  2. Pierce each potato 6-8 times with a fork.
  3. Rub each potato with about a teaspoon of olive oil.
  4. Season with salt and pepper and wrap in aluminum foil.
  5. Place in slow cooker and cook on high for 4 hours or low for 8 hours.

Candy Corn Rice Krispie Treats

Everyone loves Rice Krispie Treats. When baking them for the holidays, consider something unconventional. We love this Candy Corn Mashmallow Treats perfect for fall. I bet your son/daughter would love them for their class Halloween Party.

Ingredients:

  • 6 1/2 cup Rice Krispies Cereal
  • 3 tbsp Butter
  • 10.5 oz Marshmallows
  • Red Food Coloring
  • Yellow Food Coloring
  • Wilton White White Icing Color (optional)

Directions:

  1. Lightly spray a pie pan with non stick spray.
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
  3. Add the marshmallows and stir until completely melted.
  4. Transfer about half the marshmallow mixture to a large mixing bowl.
  5. Add about 10 drops of yellow food coloring and mix well.
  6. Add 3 cups cereal and mix well.
  7. Butter your hands or use wax paper to press the mixture firmly into a ring around the outer edge of the pan.
  8. Transfer most (about 4/5) of the remaining marshmallow mixture to a large mixing bowl.
  9. Add about 10 drops of yellow and 6 drops or red food coloring and mix well.
  10. Add 2 1/2 cups cereal and mix well.
  11. Butter your hands or use wax paper to press the mixture firmly against the yellow ring around the outer edge of the pan liaving a empty circle in the middle.
  12. Optionally, add about 6 drops of white icing color to the marshamallow mixture remaining in the saucepan and mix well.
  13. Add 1 cup cereal and mix well.
  14. Butter your hands or use wax paper to press the mixture firmly against the orange ring into the empty spot in the middle.
  15. Allow to cool completely.
  16. Lift out whole and cut, or cut in pan into triangular pieces.

Halloween OREO Eyeballs

These are a fun way to get scary this Halloween. Using a funy gummy Life Saver and everyone’s favorite cookies – OREOs – make these fun OREO eyeballs for the October Season!

Ingredients:

  • 12 OREOs
  • 12 Life Saver Gummies
  • 12 Chocolate Chips
  • 1/4 cup Red Candy Melting Chips

Directions:

  1. Carefully remove tops of OREOs and save for use in another treat.
  2. Place on cookie sheet.
  3. Melt red chips by heating in a microwave for 30 seconds then stirring and repeating until smooth.
  4. Tranfer red candy to zippered sandwich bag and clip tiny tip for piping.
  5. Pipe tiny red zig zag lines from center of cookie to edges to simulate bloodshot eyes.
  6. Place a gummie as the iris.
  7. Pipe some red chocolate in the middle of the gummie to act as glue and place a chocolate chip (flat side up) to be the pupil.
  8. Place in refrigerator to set for 10 minutes.
