Halloween OREO Eyeballs

These are a fun way to get scary this Halloween. Using a funy gummy Life Saver and everyone’s favorite cookies – OREOs – make these fun OREO eyeballs for the October Season!

Ingredients:

  • 12 OREOs
  • 12 Life Saver Gummies
  • 12 Chocolate Chips
  • 1/4 cup Red Candy Melting Chips

Directions:

  1. Carefully remove tops of OREOs and save for use in another treat.
  2. Place on cookie sheet.
  3. Melt red chips by heating in a microwave for 30 seconds then stirring and repeating until smooth.
  4. Tranfer red candy to zippered sandwich bag and clip tiny tip for piping.
  5. Pipe tiny red zig zag lines from center of cookie to edges to simulate bloodshot eyes.
  6. Place a gummie as the iris.
  7. Pipe some red chocolate in the middle of the gummie to act as glue and place a chocolate chip (flat side up) to be the pupil.
  8. Place in refrigerator to set for 10 minutes.

Halloween Pizza Spider Webs

Get creepy and crawling this October season with this these fun Halloween Spider Web Pizza Snacks. Perfect for an afternoon treat or a fun dinner entree! It might even be a delight as a classroom party suprise.

Ingredients:

  • Pizza Sauce
  • Round Crackers, Sandwich Slim Buns and/or Pita Breads
  • String Mozzarella Cheese
  • Black Olives
  • Optional: Mustard

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375.
  2. If using slim buns, seperate the halves.
  3. Take your pizza bases (cracker, bun or pita) and cover with pizza sauce.
  4. Take string cheese and open and pull into strings.
  5. Take 4 strings and lay across the base like you would cut a pizza.
  6. Cut more strings into smaller pieces to go across each “slice” of the pizza.
  7. To make a spider, cut the ends off of 2 olives one slightly large than the other.
  8. These 2 will be the head and body.
  9. Cut 2 slices off of the already cut olive and cut those slices in half to make legs for the spider.
  10. Place on spider on each pizza.
  11. Place on cookie sheet and bake until cheese is melted (about 10 minutes).
  12. You can optionally put eyes on the spider by dipping a toothpick in mustard and touching it to the head.

Halloween-Twinkie-Mummies-Frugal-Coupon-Living

Halloween Twinkie Mummies with White Chocolate

How adorable are these? Have fun creating these Twinkie Mummies this Halloween Season.  They are a perfect treat for the school party – not too scary too!

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Place Twinkies in freezer for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Prepare a baking sheet or cutting board by covering with parchment or wax paper.
  3. Melt candy chips by microwaving 30 seconds then stirring and repeating until melted.
  4. Dip each Twinkie in chocolate and roll to completely coat.
  5. Transfer to prepared paper.
  6. Place 2 eyes in each Twinkie.
  7. Allow to set for 3-4 minutes.
  8. Lift each Twinkie to separate from paper.
  9. Using a knife carefully trim excess chocolate that ran off of mummies.
  10. Transfer remaining melted chocolate to zippered bag and clip corner to pipe/drizzle.
  11. Drizzle chocolate back and forth across Twinkie (avoiding eyes) to get bandaged look.
  12. Allow to set.
