Authentic Salsa Verde
Salsa Verde is one of those sauces that you can add to just about anything savory and make it better! Although, we love it on it’s own with chips while watching the game, it’s also great when we’re entertaining to pour over a block of cream cheese and serve with crackers. Serve it alongside your favorite tacos or on eggs in the morning. The spicy tomatillos, punched up with garlic, cilantro with a twist of lime compliment so many foods! Enjoy!
Ingredients:
- 5 Tomatillos, husked and rinsed
- 1 Jalapeno Pepper
- 1 tsp minced Garlic
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh Cilantro
- 1/4 cup minced Onion
- Juice of 1/2 Lime
- 1/2 tsp Salt
Directions:
- Husk and rinse 5 tomatillos.
- Remove stem and the seeds from jalapeno.
- Place tomatillos, pepper and garlic in blender or food processor and process until pureed but still chunky.
- Add onions, cilantro, lime juice and salt.
- Mix well and enjoy.
Salsa Verde – Authentic Mexican Salsa
Ingredients
