Supplies Needed for Your Christmas Elf’s Wearable Stunt

• The Elf on the Shelf Doll
• T-shirt or Sweater (one you don’t mind altering)
• Circle of silver mirror contact paper
• Clear plastic (to cover the elf)
• Hot glue gun
• Tinsel (to hide the glue edges)
• Bean bag filling (optional, to create a snow effect)
• Card stock and markers (to write a fun message)
• Optional: Extra Christmas crafts for recording the shirt

Instructions for How to Wear The Elf on the Shelf

1. Start by choosing a t-shirt that you don’t mind-altering.
2. Cut a circle out of silver mirror card stock and hot glue it to the front of the t-shirt. This will serve as the “background” for your elf.
3. Position your festive scout in the middle of the circle on the shirt, arranging the little guy to sit as if they’re ready to hang out with your child.
4. If you want to create a snow effect, add some stuffing from a bean bag around the elf for an extra playful touch.
5. Using the hot glue gun, carefully glue clear plastic over the holiday helper to secure them in place. Be sure to leave some room so that the elf is visible but protected.
6. Add tinsel around the edges of the plastic to hide any hot glue and make the design look festive and clean.
7. Once everything is dry, write a fun message from your jolly sprite, like “Let’s hang out today” or “Let’s go on an adventure—me and you!”
8. Now your child can wear their magical elf all day long, bringing holiday cheer everywhere they go!
