You guys, I don’t know what happened but I have become a bird lady. Okay, I do know what happened, I moved into a wooded area with a creek and suddenly I found myself buying bird seed and handing up bird feeders, and then more bird feeders, and then more bird feeders.

As the birds have come, I have begun hanging up bird prints… I guess the view wasn’t enough, I also need bird artwork. I know, my feathers are fluffed and the real me shows, this makes me crazy. Just call me the crazy bird lover. Owls, parrots, flamingos, penguins and more, birds of a feather will flock together and I am for sure hanging beside all these cute winged friends.

I find something so beautiful about vintage bird prints. Plus the bird home décor style goes incredibly well with my love for Grandmillenial Design.

How to Print Your Vintage Printable

If you want to print Audubon prints, consider sending to a local print shop or an online service. While it’s very easy to get your digital download saved and printed from your computer, these vintage prints will stand out the most when they are printed on quality paper and with quality coloring. You want them to look like fine art prints for collectors, no one will know they are free!

How to frame Audubon prints of birds

To frame Audubon’s prints of Birds of America, first get a copy of the poster print. You can digitally download Audubon’s high-resolution images of birds, or you can pick up some resources.

These books are excellent resources for creating Audubon galleries without having to print the images yourself. They come on high quality gloss paper, as any coffee table book would.

Once you have acquired your digital downloads, it’s time to print. First download the highest resolution file you can. This will ensure the prettiest bird art print from whatever printer you chose.

When the files are on your computer, open the folder where your digital file is and print to your printer. If you want high quality photos, consider sending your printable bird print artwork to Staples Copy Center.

Print these Words for the Wee Hours. Challenge shower guests to make their own, but you can display yours on a clothes line with clothes pins. Vote on the funniest sayings or the phrases that make mom laugh the most at the little tinkle notes. This is not only fun, it gives the mama a pack of diapers – talk about a diaper changing need – plus it’s encouragement in the middle of the night as mama (and dada) care for the new baby! Now I am dying for a friend to have a baby so I can gift these messages.

Name that Baby

Name that Baby from DIY Network and TomKat Studio. Have each guest bring a baby photo of themselves. Post the photos on a board along with a printed number. Throughout the shower, guests can study the board and take a prediction at who is the precious baby doll in each photo. Have an answer key and review answers at the end of the event. The shower guest with the most correct answers, wins the trivia game. Up to 12 guests.

The Price Is Right

The Price is Right from Tula Mama. Set up a table with the baby item listed on this sheet. Have guests fill out their card with their best guesses for the price of each item like a pack of diapers, baby wipes, baby bottles, baby food and more. The person with the closest price of each item scores one point. The guest with the most points is a winner and wins a prize.

He Said, She Said

He Said, She Said from Unoriginal Mom. Just like the classic bridal shower game, is this fact about mommy or daddy. Pick up the free printable lips and mustache as well as the header for the fun game. But personalize for yourself in a Word Document.

Candy Bar Game

How Sweet It Is from Lil Luna. Well this is fun. When playing this game, you can have a jar of candy around. Fill out the matching pregnancy term to the candy bar. For example, girls name would be Baby Ruth. Have a basket of candy bars mentioned in the game. Most likely, everyone will have these answers right, so give he bar to who shares the answer with the group when going over results.

Baby ABCs

Baby ABCs from PJs and Paint. Ready, set, go. You are timed trying find a baby related item that begins with each letter of the alphabet. If there are repeat letters (like two people choose diapers for D) a point is not awarded. Person with the most points at the end wins. Make sure your words are unique and baby related! Twist it up: play with a ticket. Unique ideas get a raffle tickets. At the end of the shower, you can draw raffle tickets for a fun prize!

What’s In Your Phone?

What’s in your Phone from Inspiration Made Simple. It’s basically the same concept of “What’s in your Purse?” but baby shower edition. Each participant earns points for the item that they have in their phone. Things like having the Pinterest app or having the baby shower in your calendar.

Pass the Parcel

Pass the Prize from Tula Mama. Similar to pass the present, start the game off with one person. Normally the baby’s mama! Mama has to pass the gift off to someone who matches the description in the line of the poem. Keep passing the gift with each line of the poem until the final line of the poem is read.

Celebrity Baby Names from For the Love of George. See who knows US Weekly best with this parents to celebrity baby name match.

Book Title Emojis

Who doesn’t love a Frankenstein? In this monster handprint Frankenstein use green paint. Use a Sharpie or permanent black marker to color the eyes in after you craft for add some fun wiggle eyes for a 3-D pop.

Spider

Thumb in for this handprint spider. Squeeze in those thumbs (or just leave them out) in this eight legged spider handprint craft. With little hands make eight legs. Black or purple paint is perfect for this Halloween handprint craft.

Reaper

So what does a grim reaper carry? A scythe! Did you know a scythe is a sharp, curved blade used for mowing or reaping. Use a green (silver or black) handprint to create your very own DIY grim reaper Halloween art.

Halloween Handprint Craft Tips

Because some of the graphics will get covered by your toddler’s handprint, you have options for bringing forth things like the eyes and mouths.

In this set, we’ve given you guides where to place the eyes and mouth. Take a look at these options for how to make them pop!

Use Googly Eyes where the eyes go for a 3-D Pop (I personally like this set of wiggle eyes where there are googly eyes of different sizes and colors)
Print a second set of the Halloween handprint prints and allow your child to decorate the eyes and mouth. After the hand print dries, cut out the decorated eyes and mouth. Glue and lay on top of the dried handprint.
If creating an item with different colors, do this in two steps. For example, paint the palm one color and place on the printable sheet. Once dry, place the finger and apply to the printed sheet. This allows you to add multiple colors without the smudge.

When putting together this Halloween Arts & Crafts, use washable Tempera paint. Print on white cardstock for the best turn out.

DIY Halloween Stickers

As an extra bonus, printable Halloween stickers are also included. These are great to use with handprint art or on their own. The kids will love using them to decorate their artwork, and you’ll love how they add a special touch.

To print your stickers, fill your printer with 8.5 x 11 sticker paper and print as normal. Trim the stickers, peel and add to your art.

To use the stickers, simply print them out on sticker paper and cut them out. Then let the kids get creative!

How to Use Halloween Handprints Crafts

There are several ways to use these handprints. Once you do this craft with the kiddos, you may be wondering what you can do with them!
