FREE Audible & Audio Books – How I Find Time to Read!

This post may contain affiliate links or ads. Read my privacy policy and disclosure policy here.

I have told many of you my secret for reading books.

1.) I don’t have time to sit with a book.
2.) I don’t like to purchase books.

My Solution = BOOKS ON CD or Audible.com.

I LOVE books on Audio. I just finished two – “Water for Elephants” and Beth Moore’s “When Godly People Do UnGodly Things.” One being entertainment or fiction, another being spiritual and self-help.

I listen to books in the car, when I am cooking, when I am falling asleep. EVERY SECOND I CAN GET.

Where do I get Audio Books? I often get books at my library. I grab the CD version of the book, upload it to my iPod and then erase it when I am done listening. This was not always working for me, though, because my library did not carry Audios of many of the books I wanted to read.

Get 1 free audiobook credit at audible.com!

My Newest Find: Audible.com. Right now when you sign up you get a FREE 30 day trial PLUS you get one FREE book. I decided to keep mine beyond the trial and then each month I get 1 credit or one FREE book download. TOTALLY worth it to me.

I REALLY encourage you to try Audible.com. If worse comes to worse, you cancel your trial within the 14 day period and end up with one FREE Audio Read. If you decide to keep the membership, may $14.95/month. Members also have a section for FREE audio downloads, so during your trial or subscription you could stock up.

To remember to cancel your Audible membership, place a reminder on your phone, your calendar, and perhaps on your bathroom mirror as a post it.

I’m certain I won’t have 20 kids and we may not run our family exactly like the Duggars; but I like watching 19 Kids and Counting (about to be 20) and observing how calm Michelle seems in the middle of chaos!  I can definitely work on using a little more sugar and less vinegar sometimes as a mom.

Right now, you can get their most recent book: A Love That Multiplies: An Up-Close View of How They Make it Work for just $8 for the hardback. You’ll get free shipping with Prime too!

OR, get it FREE with a Free Trial of Audible!   I LOVE books on Audio. I just finished two – “Water for Elephants” and Beth Moore’s “When Godly People Do UnGodly Things.” One being entertainment or fiction, another being spiritual and self-help. Moss Covered Monogram Craft

Is springtime buzzing with activity at your house? It sure is for us, so we thought we would bring you a simple but buzz worthy creation for your home.

All you’ll need is…

  • A wooden initial (first or last name will do!)
  • A sheet of moss (sold in sheets that are folded and bagged at your local craft store)
  • A hot glue gun
  • A craft knife
  • Embellishments such as bees, butterflies optional (found in the florist section of your local craft store)

Unfold the sheet of moss on a flat surface. We recommend laying down an old tablecloth. That makes cleaning up the moss debris easier! With a heated glue gun, outline the initial (the side that you want to cover with moss) with a fair amount of glue. Quickly, arrange your wooden initial on the sheet of moss face side down. Apply a little pressure to make sure the moss has adhered to the initial. Use an craft knife to trim away excess moss. Depending on the season, add embellishments to your initial. We couldn’t resist these little bumblebees. We didn’t have to glue them on; we just tucked their legs in the moss which allows for an easy change out later on. However, a spot of glue on an adornment wouldn’t hurt.

So quick and simple that you can buzz on to your next activity!

Welcome Spring! I don’t know about you, but over at Simply Sprout we are loving the bursts of colors that springtime has to offer. Whether it be while enjoying some time outside (thank you daylight savings), at the produce stand, or even when welcoming guests in our homes. This unique grapevine wreath can’t help but catch your attention with its nontraditional, but awfully spring time vibe.

Things to gather:
All of ours were found at Hobby Lobby – get a 40% off coupon until 3/24

  • An oval grapevine wreath, an ode to the colorful and fun Easter egg.
  • Spray paint of your choice, but we sure hope you choose something bright and cheery!
  • Grosgrain ribbon to coordinate with your paint choice.
  • A wooden initial or other embellishment such as eggs, small bird nests, etc.

Spray paint the wreath with two to three coats of paint, and allow to dry. Loop ribbon around the top of the wreath and tie a bow. Hot glue a piece of ribbon to the back of your initial and tie it through larger bow.

For less than $10 you are going to have a lot of smiling front door guests!

Note: If visiting Michael’s, there is a 40% off coupon until 3/24.
