Because it keeps a running tally of both price and shipping costs (via box), it makes it super easy to spend exactly what you want and nothing more.

Another reason you might need Amazon Prime Pantry is if you live in a large city or crowded shopping area. Have you ever tried to go shopping for basics in New York City for example? The costs, hassle and frustrations alone are well worth an extra six bucks to have it all sent to your front door. Granted you have to plan ahead, but good shoppers do that anyway. The only real downside to shopping via Amazon Prime Pantry is the shipping charge and because it is so reasonable, even that is negligible.
