Recipe for Halloween
For this Halloween Recipe, you will need edible eyes. We used two eyes of the same shape, but we also think it would be cute to add additional candy eyes of various sizes! Isn’t a mummy supposed to look a little wonky and beat up?
The best party of this recipe for Halloween is that the kids can get involved but when you are all through, you don’t end up with a sugar snack that will hype them up more. Instead, you get a savory bite for Halloween night! (You are supposed to say that aloud when reading. We rhymed just like Dr Seuss!)
We have other tasty Halloween recipes including this Poison Apple Dip and adorable food craft for your Halloween Tablescape. For a healthy bite, make these Fruit Cup Jack-o-Lanterns. If you don’t want to carve the face, use a sharpie marker.
Of course an apple dip, a healthy fruit bowl, savory Halloween Jalapeño Popper Mummies also need something sweet. A sweet treat can be found in a our endless list of Halloween recipes, 31+ Days of Kid’s Halloween Food Crafts! Which is your favorite?
Don’t get intimidated. The ingredients that make up this Halloween Recipe are not too difficult and can easily be found at your local grocery store.

I love these :) I have a lot of jalapenos this year (and golden cayenne peppers but they don’t stuff well) so hopefully I will still have them growing next month. If not, I will buy them for it! We love Halloween and this is such a cute and easy idea.

Question – the video says to cover with butter before baking. I don’t see this in the directions. Does this need to be done before baking?
Ashley at Frugal Coupon Living says
Hello Patty, honestly it depends. If you are dealing with a buttery bread like crescents, it is not needed. Adding butter (or even a small amount of egg) will add to the final appearance and/or taste. If you got extra butter crescents, leave the extra butter off.
