I love sharing with you Copycat Recipes. It is an easy way to keep restaurant expenses down plus it provides delicious recipes for your home you know yoru family already loves. This Copycat Chipotle Guacamole Recipe won’t dissapoint.

Ingredients:

  • 2 Avocados
  • 1 cup chopped Cilantro
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped Red Onion
  • 1 seeded and finely chopped Jalapeno
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice
  • 2 tsp Lime Juice

Directions:

  1. Peel and pit avocadoes.
  2. Add juices and mash avocados with a fork.
  3. Stir in remaining ingredients and mix well.

Homemade Cheesy Garlic Sticks

Easy at home recipe with Pillsbury Pizza Crust Dough. You also can make your own dough and sauce with these recipes:

Ingredients:

  • 1 can Pillsbury Refrigerated Pizza Crust
  • 1 tbsp softened Butter
  • 1 tbsp Minced Garlic
  • 1/2 cup shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1 tbsp Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 tbsp Basil

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425.
  2. Mix together softened butter and garlic to make a spread.
  3. Line Pizza pan with parchment paper.
  4. Unroll pizza dough and stretch to fit prepared pan.
  5. Spread butter mixture to completely cover pizza dough.
  6. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly over dough.
  7. Sprinkle parmesan cheese evenly over dough.
  8. Sprinkle basil evenly over dough.
  9. Using pizza cutter cut into 6 strips and then down the middle.
  10. Bake for 10 minutes or until crust is lightly browned.
  11. Cut again along previous cuts to separate.

Perfect for a school party, have fun with your child making these delicious Candy Cane Reindeer. Theyou would also be fun to make and bag in a ziploc for your child to hand out to his/her friends. Stay in the reindeer theme with these yummy Reindeer Gingerbread Men Cookies!

Ingredients:

  • 24 small Candy Canes
  • 12 Hershey Kisses
  • 12 Red Candy Decorations (like Red Hots)
  • 24 Candy Eyes
  • 1/2 cup Dark Chocolate Candy Melting Chips
  • 1 White Candy Melting Chip

Directions:

  1. Line a cutting board or cookie sheet with wax paper.
  2. Heat chocolate candy chips by microwaving for 30 seconds stirring and repeating until melted.
  3. Take 2 candy canes and dip the bottoms (straight parts) in chocolate and shake off excess.
  4. Place together on wax paper so hooks of each go off in opposite directions.
  5. Place an unwrapped Herhey Kiss on the chocolate covered canes.
  6. Repeat for remaining canes.
  7. Using a toothpick, take a dab or melted chocolate and glue the red candy on top of the kiss as the nose.
  8. Using a toothpick, take a dab or melted chocolate and glue on the eyes.
  9. Take the white chocolate chip and place on wax paper and heat in microwave for 15 seconds.
  10. Take another toothpick and paint a white mouth on each reindeer.

This might be an alternative to leave out for Santa – his own self portrait with these yummy cupcakes. If you want to leaveout cookies, consider making this cute littl face on a cookie. Simple directions and ingredients below.

Ingredients:

  • 1 box Cake Mix
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 1/2 cup softened Butter
  • 1 tbsp Milk
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla
  • 2 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 48 Mini Chocolate Chips
  • 10 oz Mini Marshmallows
  • 24 Red Candy Decorations (like Red Hots)
  • Red Sparkling Sugar

Directions:

  1. Line muffin pan with paper liners.
  2. Mix and bake cupcakes according to box directions.
  3. Transfer to wire racks to cool.
  4. Cream butter in a medium bowl.
  5. Slowly add in the powdered sugar, and milk as needed, until everything is incorporated and frosting is right consistency.
  6. Transfer to piping bag or zippered bag and clip corner to pipe.
  7. Ice each cupcake.
  8. Sprinkle red sparkling sugar across the upper third of the top to make a hat.
  9. Cut each mini marshmallow in half.
  10. Place mini marshmallows to put a ball on the hat, make a fur band and make Santa’s beard.
  11. Place the Red Hot for the nose and two mini chocolate chips for the eyes.

This is perfect for a cookie or cupcake. We decide to go easy on using a package cookie – ours was Reese’s Cups Cookies – staying true to our snowman’s hat, a Reese’s Peanut Butter Bell. These are perfect for your holiday cookie exchange.

Ingredients:

  • 1 bag Cookie Mix (and associated ingredients)
  • 12 Reese’s Peanut Butter Bells
  • 12 oz White Candy Melting Chips
  • 48 Mini Chocolate Chips
  • 2 Orange Starbursts

Directions:

  1. Bake cookie according to package directions.
  2. Allow to cool.
  3. Cut Starburst into 3 rectangular strips (1/4″ x 3/4″)
  4. Cut each of those in half, creating 6 – 1/4″ x 3/8″ rectangles.
  5. Now cut each of those diagonally creating 12 triangles for noses.
  6. Repeat with other Starburst.
  7. Cut each bell in half.
  8. Heat White Candy Chips by microwaving for 30 seconds stirring and repeating until melted.
  9. Use a spoon to drizzle white chocolate over cookie.
  10. Place a bell, cut side down to represent the hat.
  11. Place 2 chocolate chips below hat to represent eyes.
  12. Place nose under eyes.
  13. Place in refrigerator for 15 minutes to set.

Loving these fun Gingerbread Reindeer. Creative Kid’s Food Craft using a Gingerbread Man Cookie Cutter. Tutorial and recipe below. If you have a gingerbread cutter, consider as well these classic Gingerbread Men Cookies made with Butterscotch Pudding!

Ingredients:

Cookies:

  • 2 cup Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  •  tsp Ginger
  • 1/4 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp Ground Cloves
  • 1/3 cup melted Shortening
  • 1/3 cup Molasses
  • 1/3 cup Brown Sugar
  • 8 tsp Water
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 tsp Vanilla
  • 18 red M&M’s or Red Hot candies

Icing:

  • 2 Egg whites
  • 3 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 2 tsp Corn Syrup
  • Brown Food coloring
  • Black Food coloring

Directions:

  1. Sift together the flour, baking powder, ginger, nutmeg, cloves, and cinnamon.
  2. Beat together shortening, molasses, water, egg, brown sugar and vanilla until blended.
  3. Slowly stir in the dry mixture until completely absorbed.
  4. Divide dough in half.
  5. Flatten each, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for several hours.
  6. Preheat oven to 350.
  7. Line cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  8. Flour work surface.
  9. Roll dough out to 1/4″ thickness.
  10. Cut out gingerbread men and place 1″ apart on prepared sheet.
  11. Bake for 10-12 minutes until they look dry.
  12. Move to wire rack to cool.
  13. Combine egg whites and corn syrup and whip on high until foamy.
  14. Slowly add powdered sugar whipping until shiny and soft peaks form.
  15. Add brown coloring and whip until color is uniform.
  16. Transfer 2/3 of icing to piping bag or zippered bag.
  17. Add black food coloring to remaining icing and whip until color is uniform.
  18. Transfer remaining icing to piping bag or zippered bag.
  19. Turn gingerbread men upside down and pipe brown to form face and ears as shown.
  20. Place red M&M or Red Hot candy for nose.
  21. Place 2 black dots for eyes.
  22. Pipe black to show inside of ears and mouth.
  23. Pipe black antlers.

Ho, Ho, Ho – where does Santa Go? Perhaps to your next Cookie Exchange. These are sure to get questions of “how did you do that” and then you have the opportuntiy to tell them how easy this recipe really is!

Ingredients:

  • 4 Egg Whites (at room temperature)
  • 2 1/2 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Cream of Tartar
  • Red GelFood Coloring
  • 10 Mini Marshmallows

Directions:

  1. Place parchment paper on 2 cookie sheets.
  2. Preheat oven to 200.
  3. Whip egg whites at high speed until stiff peaks form.
  4. Gradually add in powdered sugar about 1/2 cup at a time while whipping on high (scrape down sides periodically).
  5. Add in cream of tartar and whip briefly to blend.
  6. Use a round tip and transfer 1/4 of mixture to piping bag.
  7. Pipe about 1″ circles to form the withe base of each hat.
  8. Add in red food coloring and whip until deried color is reached and blended.
  9. Use a star tip and transfer mixture to piping bag.
  10. Pipe in a circular motion making smaler cirles as you go upward (like soft serve ice cream).
  11. Bake meringues for 2 hours.
  12. Turn off oven and leave meringues in with door slightly open for 1 more hour.
  13. cut each marshmallow into fourths.
  14. Make a “glue” to attach the marchmallows to the tips of the hats by mixing 1/4 cup powdered sugar with several drops of water and mixing well.
  15. Gently dab this on with a toothpick and press marshmallow in place.

These yield about 40 Santa Hats.
