Free Moving Printable | We’ve Moved!

Let me share with you, in the past two years my family and I have moved – TWICE. One was a cross country move (with movers), the second was moving four houses down (on the same street) while six months pregnant. I almost  greatly prefer the cross-country move! There was nothing pretty about me walking up and down the street with a huge belly and a load of boxes (yes, protective readers, I know carrying boxes when pregnant is a no-no and I am happy to report, we had a healthy baby boy this past October.)  Regardless, I learned my lesson that hot summer, with the worse abdominal cramping. We settled in our new home, though, and with a young baby at home, I am ignoring the boxes in the corner that never got unpacked.

Moving along (no pun intended)) moving so often has taught me some of the best lessons. In fact, I share many of those in our Top 50 Moving Hacks and Tips. A few of my favorites include creating garment bags for clothing out of garbage bags, place Styrofoam plates between breakable plates, reuse toilet paper rolls and egg cartoons and my favorite, color code your boxes based on rooms they need to go. Your movers, friends and family with thank you for this last advice. You all also appreciate not hearing the question, “where does this box go?” 100 times.

I also learned when you move often, no one has your address. This last Christmas, with a new infant in my arms, I worked hard to get Christmas cards out early so  that friends and family could have our return address. I slipped inside these adorable “We’ve Moved” notes. You could also print these notes, take a cute photo like I did below and upload the image to your Facebook wall (assuming you have a private Facebook page.) No need for that address to be public.

Get this we moved printable and all of Frugal Coupon Living’s Free Printables. Enter your name and email address and we will send you a link and password for access to your free downloads.

By downloading you are accepting the terms that this is for personal, non-commercial use. Please contact Frugal Coupon Living with any questions.

This printable is found in our Moving Binder Printable. Over 26 Pages of Organization Content for your next move!

I welcome you to use and enjoy these free printable “we’ve moved” cards however you wish. Please keep in mind, they are for  personal use only. These are my gift to you for being such amazing and loyal readers!

One last tip. On your next move, consider getting help – wish I had taken advantage of friends, but our pride (and the close proximity of our home) made us deny help. Feed your friends with water and food and I am sure they will be more than happy to help – who doesn’t love a good afternoon pizza and an iced cold tea!?!

Happy move!

How to Get a FREE Ring Doorbell

Hey guys, this is a pretty cool way to get a FREE Ring Doorbell and encourage your friends to get it too. I had a friend share it with me today and I had to share with you too!

Note: This post has been updated below with other ways to get your Free Ring Doorbell.

Free Ring Doorbell Update

Update: Neighbors by Ring app is no longer offering referral links. Apparently having 1 million downloads has made them successful!  I would agree, I am sure many of us are feeling satisfied by having our free porch protection. For those that missed out, however, there are other ways to get a free ring doorbell!

The First way to get a Free Ring Doorbell is with Swagbucks. Use Swagbucks as your search engine and generate points when you search and shop and even do product offers. Watch your Swagbucks add up and trade them in for an Amazon Gift Card – I do this all the time, especially because I am online all the time. If you are new to Swagbucks, get a bonus 300 swagbucks when you earn 300 swagbucks within your first 30 days of signing up. That is an instant 600 points toward future gift cards.

Did you know!? Cops Are Offering Ring Doorbell Cameras in Exchange for Info! Talk about a safe Neighborhood Watch Home Security plan! The community and law enforcement working together to fight crime.

Often the Amazon Ring Store has products and promotions, especially Black Friday Ring Deals.

Neighbors By Ring App Directions

  1. First, these are for NEW USERs. Download the FREE Neighbors by Ring app to your phone or mobile device. (You do need to be on your smart phone.)
  2. Second, create a new Ring Account. You get $10 for signing up on the Neighbors App.
  3.  Set up your Neighbors app account.
  4. In your Neighbors app, look for three lines at the top left. That is where you will pick up your $10 referral link.
  5. Choose Invite Friends and copy the $10 referral link and share with your friends!
  6. Invite at least nine friends join you using your referral link to get your $100 Ring Doorbell!

You’ll earn $10 for each referral and after nine friends join you, you’ll have enough credit to cover the cost of the Ring Doorbell. You will have to pay a couple dollars for the cost of taxes.

Once you get your nine friends, you will make your purchase online (not on the app.) When you sign into the ring website online, your credits are also visual there. The app and website sync using your same username and password. You do need to sign up on the app first for your initial $10 credit.

Keep in mind, this only works if you don’t already have a Ring account. But if you do, then you could have another family member or a spouse follow the steps below to get a free Ring Doorbell.

Share with your friends on Facebook or social media platforms. You can see my Facebook message above. When people said they were interested, I direct messaged them the details with my referral link.  Have them share too so they too could get the FREE Ring Doorbell!

Here is my message if you want to copy and paste too – feel free to use and share!

Hey guys, pretty awesome deal on Ring Doorbell – Grab it for FREE! Super easy and yes, it is FREE!

Interested in getting one? Let me know and I’ll shoot you a message with details!! ⬇️

I had a friend share it with me so I had to share it with you!

Happy sharing!

Did you know? Ring is a global home security company owned by Amazon. Ring manufactures a range of home security products that incorporate outdoor motion based cameras and doorbells, such as the Ring Video Doorbell. The doorbell has motion sensors allowing you to see when a package or visitor is at your door. No more Amazon box thieves. No more unknown middle of the night visitors. Keep an eye on your porch, keep an eye on your neighborhood!

Update:  I do not have my ring yet and this app already alerted me to a shooting within four miles of my home letting me know of an area to avoid today!

Sending your child to a friend’s house for a sleepover is a rite of passage that every kid should get to experience. Sending them off with the right things packed will help the experience go smoothly and set your mind at ease about their being away from home somewhat. Here are some tips about packing for sleepovers so that your child has what they need:

Paperwork package

This is important for a number of reasons, and most people disregard it. If your child is going to be away from home, you need to make sure they have certain pieces of paperwork. These include a consent to treat for emergency medical situations, a picture and an emergency contact sheet that gives at least two options. This is also where you can put your name and number in case the parents happen to need to contact you.

Allergy and prescription medications

If you child has allergies, you need to inform the other parents up front. Also write these things down and include any medications they might need. These are very important things to share with whomever is watching your kids.

Pajamas and a change of clothes

Of course you want your kids to have a pair of pajamas and something to put on clean when they get up the next day. If you kid has an occasional accident, perhaps you should also include extra underwear or pull ups. Never embarrass your kid by speaking of this in front of them, however.

Video Games or Toys

If your kid wants to bring along his favorite toy or video game, run it by your fellow parent and make sure they are cool with it. Some parents prefer not to take responsibility for expensive electronics or special items. A quick heads up and you will be in the clear as far as knowing what to do here.

Pillow

It is usually a good idea to bring your own pillow for hygiene sakes. You don’t have to say why…simply that your child is used to a particular pillow. Better safe than sorry with lice concerns and so on.

Hygienic supplies

Make sure you send your kid’s toothbrush, hair brush or comb and deodorant at a minimum. Some folks like to send their own little carry bag that is full of these types of things and that works too. The last thing you want to do is depend on someone else to provide these things. Towels and washcloths are very different from deodorant. Pack what you would not want to share.

Packing for an overnight stay is really about paying attention to details and sending what you would want someone to have if they stayed at your home. Always think safety first and remember the things that might make your child comfortable.

Going on a ski trip is a rather exciting thing to do for vacation and it demands some very specific packing. Where lip balm is not very important on some vacations, it can be a life saver when you are out on the slopes. These types of specific items are often overlooked and then you have to pay a fortune at the lodge to get them. Here is a basic packing list of the primary things you will need on your ski trip:

● Glasses (Sunglasses and Regular)
● Contact Lenses
● Warm Clothing
● Gloves
● Boots for Snow
● Scarves
● Heavy Coat
● Hats
● Waterproof gear
● Ski Equipment
● Camera
● Cell Phone/Tablet/Chargers
● Toiletries
● First Aid Kit
● Medicines
● Lip Balm
● Maps
● Watch
● Compass
● ID/travel paperwork

Here are some packing tips to help you be sure to cover all your bases effectively:

Pack Layers of Clothes

The last thing you want to do on a ski trip is be cold. Layers are the key to warmth in the snow and you start with a good pair of thermals. Add in some turtlenecks, jackets, sweaters and some good ski pants and waterproof gear and you will be set. Make sure your ski coat is of top quality for optimal warmth.

Toiletries Matter

The last thing you want is to be buying hand and foot warmers at the cabin store. Pack plenty of toiletries that you will need and that includes lip balm and first aid kits. You never want to be caught without these types of things up on a mountain. If you do have to buy them, you will pay a premium that your wallet will certainly feel.

Rent or Buy?

Decide ahead of time if you are going to buy your gear or rent it. If you do decide to rent it there are certain things you should still buy for yourself. One thing is a quality pair of goggles. These are so vital to your comfort and safety that having your own is really important. Likewise, a solid pair of ski boots that fit are vital too. Like the old rental skates at the roller skating rinks, finding a good rental pair that fits is a challenge. Pick out a good pair and pay the price…your feet will thank you later.

Remember the Time Away From The Slopes

Not every moment will be spent on the slopes. Perhaps you will go to a nice, formal dinner and need a tux. Maybe you will take in a movie or spend some time walking around a nearby town. Whatever the case, you need to pack for some of these possibilities and be prepared. You rarely spend the entire vacation doing nothing but skiing.

Going on a cruise is something that many people look at as a dream vacation. Packing for a cruise is not so dreamy…it requires some planning and plenty of attention to detail. The real key to packing for a cruise is knowing how to economically use your space. That is, knowing what to pack and what to leave behind. Here are several tips to help you pack for a cruise efficiently:

Bring Your Toiletries – The very last thing you want is to need to buy shampoo or soap on the ship or at ports of call. They will be ridiculously expensive. Yes, the cabins will have low quality options like a hotel, but few people actually want to use them. Bring the ones you use the most. You will be very glad you did.

Pack Light on the Clothes – Cruise ships are generally very economical on laundry charges and dry cleaning. You can have more room for more important things and your clothes will always look excellent. Fifty outfits are not necessary on a cruise ship…just a few of your favorites.

Pack According to the Weather – It might seem obvious, but you still need to consider the weather. For example, you will not bring the same things for an Alaskan cruise that you would on a tropical cruise. Looking ahead to the weather expectations can be helpful as well. Weather can change quickly when you are on the move so being prepared for both extremes is not a bad idea.

Bring More Than One Pair of Shoes – Shoes are extremely important when going on a cruise and often overlooked. You want some waterproof shoes for the deck, dress shoes for dinner and walking shoes for when you leave the boat. A good pair of flip flops are always welcomed as well. You are only as comfortable as your shoes.

Take an Empty Bag with You – Packing an extra bag will help a great deal where souvenirs and other things are concerned. You almost always come back with more than you left with, so an empty bag will help a great deal. This can also serve as a dirty laundry bag while you are there.

Here are some other essentials that often get overlooked when packing for a cruise:

● Camera and Equipment
● Sunscreen
● Travel Documents/ID
● Medications
● Two Bathing Suits
● Workout clothes
● Travel Guides for where you are going
● Binoculars
● Formal wear for those nights

Certainly this list is not complete, but it is certainly a good start towards getting ready for your first cruise. By following these simple guidelines, you should be well on your way to a great time out on the open ocean!
