Okay, I have to confess. An hour-long episode Hoarders makes me way less anxious than just ten minutes of Tidying Up with Marie Kondo. It might be because Hoarders lets me be lazy and shocked while Tidying Up makes me think about all the organization I could be doing in my already sort-of-organized-but-not-quite house. Without diving too deep in the psychology of it all, both shows inspire me to get more clean and organized. I know I can’t be the only one searching for the best ways to keep my home functional and efficient, and I DEFINITELY know I’m not the only one on a budget. I recently saw a meme about when you tell a child their screen time is over. The meme was pretty much depicting a grown man in a toddler fit. No matter the age of your child, I am sure we can all relate the the temper once screen time has been declared done.

Two things that I have found helpful in my own struggle with screen time, are giving the children control and also letting the child know how much time they will have beforehand. They are not caught off guard when time is officially up because they became “playing” knowing they only had x number of minutes. While this has not solved all my parenting problems, holding true to these two tips has been really helpful.

When our kids get screen time, they give Alexa an alarm to go off when their time is up. This allows me to not keep track of time and also gives them their own responsibility to monitor their time and get off when their time is up. Before beginning their game, they say “Alexa, tell me when 30 minutes is up” …and that is what she does! You can also work on Alexa giving them a 25 minute reminder, in addition, so they know they need to wind down where they are in the game.

In this pack of Screen Time Tickets, we included a ticket for five minutes, ten , fifteen, thirty, and sixty minutes. We also included a golden ticket for you to use as you see fit. Perhaps a day of unlimited screen time for good behavior. You can combine tickets if your child needs one of the numbers not included in this set.

I changed my media to 8.5×10 and the media to 67 lb cover stock (I prefer a card stock feel over printer paper feel.)
