What is Elf on the Shelf?

Elf on the Shelf is a Christmas Tradition. The tradition has a book and a elf doll. The book is poetic and in rhyme sharing the purpose of the Elf’s visits. The Elf visits each Thanksgiving. He/She goes and returns from the North Pole each evening. Every morning he can be found in a new location in the house. The Elf has been found in the refrigerator, fishing in the toilet, writing messages on the mirror or hanging from the lights. It is VERY IMPORTANT, the Elf is not touch each evening or his Christmas magic will be lost! Each family is able to name their special elf. The elves return to their home (Santa’s North Pole Work shop) every Christmas Eve. An Elf’s Story can also be found on DVD

For you little girl who has too many barbies, check out these barbie storage units.

First, check out the Neat-Oh! Barbie Zip Bin Dream House Toybox & Playmat for $23.94. This one has been pretty popular for awhile now and comes in at 4.5 stars for review. It has durable, wipe-clean surfaces and heavy-duty zippers which I think makes it popular with it’s users.

A little less at $19.99, the Neat-Oh Barbie ZipBin Fab Case. It lacks reviews and doesn’t look as strong and durable. Not many left.

Speaking of price, if you are DYING to decorate the play room and have a budget to blow, how adorable is the Barbie Glam Storage Kid’s Chaise Lounge for $207 (down from last time) and with FREE shipping. Looking for a Fun DIY (Do It Yourself) activity for the kids this winte, just in time perhaps for a Winter Party at School. Be sure to PIN this fun Doughnut Snowmen Milk Bottles Recipe

Doughnut Snowmen Milk Bottles Recipe

Ingredients:

3 9.5 oz empty Starbucks Frappucino Bottles
Milk (to fill bottles)
3 Mini Donuts
3 Decorative Paper Straws
Felt to make scarves
Sixlets or other shiny candy balls
Black Gel Icing
Orange Starburst (for noses)
1/4 cup White Candy Melts

Directions:

Cut Felt into 1″ strip and wrap around neck of bottle as scarf.
Fasten in place with glue.
Heat White Candy Chips in small bowl by microwaving for 30 seconds stirring and repeating until melted.
Using a toothpick place drops of candy on front of bottle to act as glue and place sixlets as buttons.
Allow to set.
Carefully push straw through mini donut.
Using black icing make dots for eyes and mouth.
Cut Starburst into thirds. Then cut each of these diagonally and roll with fingers to form carrot noses.
Dip end or carrot noses in white chocolate and place in center of donuts.
Allow to set.
Fill bottles with milk, and insert your Snowmen Straws.
