Disney Star Wars Half Marathon
For all those Walt Disney World Resort fans, get ready for The Dark Side of Force! After a wildly successful Star Wars Half Marathon at Disneyland Resort, the powers that be have decided to bring the fun and excitement to Walt Disney World Resort as well! This Star Wars themed race will be loaded with fun and excitement to fit any age.
The Star Wars Half Marathon – The Dark Side is run Disney’s latest creation and it just might be the best one yet. Slated to be held on April 14,15,16 and 17th, the race will be made up of several different events for every level of fitness. Even the kids will have races to compete in that center around the exciting Star Wars theme.
If you are powerful enough and can channel your inner Jedi, you will finish the 10k and half marathon that they have on tap. That will gain you entry into the special of specials for the weekend – The Star Wars Dark Side Challenge!
If you are a huge fan of Star Wars or simply love to get your run on, this is a weekend you will not want to miss. The entire set up will be Star Wars themed and even the medals will be centered around the Force and Star Wars. There will be prizes, merchandise and tons of character fun throughout this exercise filled weekend so be sure to start training now to get ready!
The Disneyland Resort races are all about the Light Side of the Force and are similarly loaded each time with fun and options. After the huge success they enjoyed, this Star Wars themed race will be all about the Dark Side of the Force.
If you are lucky enough to attend both and complete the special challenges, you will get the ultimate reward for Star Wars skills – The Kessel Run Challenge Medal. The wonderful thing about this contest is the fact that it merges tons of things we love.
