A few of you have written telling me that your Walgreens would not let you combine the IVC (Instant Value Coupon in the Easy Saver Catalog) and a MFR coupon. I did call Walgreens this morning and asked them this vary question. The lady I spoke with informed me that this was not correct and you CAN combine both. When you run into this trouble again, ask for a manager. Sometimes when I know I am using multiple coupons that can be a bit confusing to the cashier, I just ask for the manager to ring me up…especially if there is a long line in the only register open. I do not want to make people wait on ALL my coupons.

i have found that the huggies coupons won’t work as a moneymaker. i tried to use 2 $3 coupons and the register would not accept them. should i ask for a manager on this as well?

Okay, I have a questions that I am having trouble getting an answer on from Walgreens. Can you use more than 1 register reward to pay for a purchase? My local says you can’t but it even says on the RR that you cannot use more mfc q/rr than items. I get that. I emailed customer service and the AST. Mnger called me. He wasn’t really sure, said he didn’t mind, just depends on the cashier???? What. I guess the main Manager was out that week but she tells all the cashiers NO. So I called walgreens customer service to see if I could get the proper answer and she wasn’t sure either and said she would have someone call me back. I asked who would be calling me back because I didn’t want to get the same Asst. Mnger who doesn’t know.

What do you guys know about this??

It was the manager that told me I could not combine them. I’ve emailed corporate and received an email back saying that I could combine IVC and MFQ but the manager will not honor it saying that it is at the manager’s discretion. LAME!!!

In response to Alexandra, what the manager told you is just not true. Contact your Walgreen’s district office and report the problem. I had a great experience with them correcting the problem with the manager immediately. Good luck!

I had such a gratifying experience using multiple coupons at Walgreens today. Using MFR's, Walgreens coupons (Easy Saver & weekly ad) and $10 in RR's I got yesterday buying sunscreen, I saved a total of $51.00!!! And that's not even counting the addtional $2 in RR's and the $7.50 coupon I got for fomula I got today plus my ESR's ($4 + 10%.) The ONLY glitch I had was giving my RR's last. The poor cashier had to re-ring all my items but she was very sweet about it and my total bill came out just as I expected. I can't wait to see where I can save next!!!

The Pepsi deal that is advertised is being changed at Walgreen’s to buy 4 get 1 free of 8-pack cartons. The cashier at my Walgreen’s honored the buy 3 get one free 12-pack manufacturer’s coupon. Also, she had to manually adjust the Walgreen’s store coupon to discount the free carton, so make sure they do that when you check out.

Holly, when it comes to a moneymaker it depends on the manager. They still will get the money back for the coupon but some just won’t accept coupons that create moneymakers. It is your call. You could always try another store.

I actually had a wonderful employee help me this past weekend when I was trying to purchase the require quantities to get the highest RR. Well I had wanted to purchase 4 of the single beauty bars to go with the two conditioners (which I will be getting a full rebate for and the other was near free with coupons) and the two deoderants I had to purchase (that I got for .39 each). I had told him I would buy the 2 packs, but with all my coupoining it would not work out so well. He just had me take (2) of the two packs of the soaps and said he would take care of it for me. As I finished my shopping he had found me and when I told him that I was finished shopping. He escorted me to a register so that he could be the one to check me out. He then rang the 2 packs as if they were single bars.

It was way cool of him. He could have just told me that if I wanted to RR that I would have to buy the (2) four-packs! Kudos to a great employee! (I have to say he was pretty impressed with my haul – 74.20 in items – OOP= 24.36. The girl behind me was in shock and awe as well!

    Sareks,
I do it all the time! You can use more than 1 RR to pay for a transaction….it is, however, only 1 RR per item. If I have 3 times, I could not use more than 3 RRs (these RRs could be worth a lot of money togehter, though.)Always give your RRs before you give your coupons. I hope this helps.

Seems like I read somewhere there is an order that you should give your coupons too. Does anyone know this? So at Walgreens you need to give RR first and then what is the rest of the formula?

Also, 2 weeks ago when they had the Right Guard Deod on sale and then you got back $2 RR. Well I didn’t get mine and didn’t notice at the time. Called them and took them FOREVER to call me back (Catalina) and they are telling me I didn’t have the right item although it fits the description and is the same item as pictured in the ad. I’m so mad!

Is it true that you can’t use more manufacturer and RRs at Walgreens than you have in items? I just tried using eight coupons plus $2 RRs for seven items, and they said I couldn’t do it that way. They said I had to either take some coupons back or purchase some other items first. This is sort of getting frustrating as no matter which Walgreens I go to in my area, I always have some sort of problem…whether its with using coupons or getting RRs to print out.

Yes, Karen. This is true. The same trouble happened to me this week so I added my favorite $.39 chocolate! Another excuse to eat chocolate. If I have 8 items, I can only have a combination of 8 RRs and MFRs. Hopefully this will help prepare you before hitting the stores. Sometimes if this is the case, I just hold my RRs for the next transaction.
