This giveaway is closed. Congratulations goes to Sandra U.

I am not a fan on soda, juice, and rarely drink tea. I must say that my favorite drink that I always crave is WATER! Yes, water. I am grateful that I don’t tend to drink empty calories, but water becoming my drink of choice I have become quite the water snob! I notice regional differences in water and perfer the water I have in my home. I was really excited to take the ZeroWater Challenge.

ZeroWater is an In Home Filtrations System that uses a Duel-Ion Exchange system to remove virtually all dissolved solids from Tap Water. In fact ZeroWater is the only filtered system that meets the FDAs Requirements for Purified Bottled Water and it’s considered just as effective as Reverse Osmosis in reducing chomium-6 levels in water. All ZeroWater products come with a testing meter that guarantees a 000 reading on Total Dissolved Solids. Plus, ZeroWater Pitchers & Dispensers are BPA-free and they offer a Filter Recycling Program to help you discard of used filters.

If you compare your Standard Water Filter which is a Carbon Based Filter to Zero Water you can see the difference in the total dissolved solids that remain. Testing the water in my own home including 1) Tap Water, 2) Filtered Water and 3) Zero Water, I ended up with some surprising results. My Tap Water contained a reading of 113 TDS, the Filtered Water was 65 TDS and the Zero Water was 000 TDS. I was really surprised at how little difference there was between the Filtered Water from the Fridge and the Tap Water.

ZeroWater has an option for just about every Size and Budget:

ZeroWater 23 Cup Filter Dispenser – This ZeroWater Dispenser offers a one-hand pull and pour button spout which allows you to easily fill up any cup or Bottle with water. The dispenser is 10 1/2″ Tall and only 6″ wide. The 23 cup dispenser also features a tapered top design to allow it to easily fit into the top shelves of your refrigerator.  This ZeroWater product also features an easy access fill lid so you can refill your dispenser without removing it from your refrigerator. The ZeroWater 23 Cup Dispenser retails for just $39.99.

ZeroWater 10 Cup Pitcher – This ZeroWater product is a cross between the Pitcher and the Dispenser. It gives you the option to Pour the water or use the Dispenser on the bottom of the unit to fill water bottles and more. With a 10 cup Reservoir you get the benefits of both the Pitcher and the Dispenser with the added space saving benefit. The ZeroWater 10 Cup Pitcher is sold exclusively at Bed Bath & Beyond for  $37.99.

ZeroWater 8 Cup Pitcher – The 8 Cup Pitcher contains an Ion Exchange Filter which removes the chlorine taste you typically get with Tap Water. It also removes any dissolved solids that may be in your water including Aluminum, Lead, Zinc, Nitrate and more. This ZeroWater pitcher is small enough to keep in your Fridge or on the Counter and contains a One-Hand Pull & Pour Spout to fill any Bottle or Cup. The 8 Cup ZeroWater Pitcher retails for just $35.00.

1 Lucky Winner will win all 3 of these ZeroWater Products plus a supply of 8 Ion Exchange Replacement Filters. A Value of over $200!

If you are eager to shop now, get 50% off the  8-Cup pitcher with coupon code zwhalf8cup or the 23-Cup dispenser with coupon code zwhalf23cup.

I have always been a recycler–newspapers, cardboard, cans & bottles, & paper. Other ways are not leaving lights on when not in use and I conserve water–inside & outside with a rain water system. Thanks!

We use bottled water. Other than just recyling the bottles every week, we use them in our planters to take up space at the bottom to make the pots lighter and can use less dirt.

To help the environment my husband and I run a non-profit coffee company called Three Avocados. All net proceeds to go providing clean drinking water using wells or bio-sand filters in Uganda, Africa. Nearly 63 children die each day due to water related illness in Uganda alone. Wells and bio-sand filters are clean, enviomentally friendly ways to provide clean water to those in need.

Our city does not recycle, but we have made an area in our kitchen for recycleables and we take them to the local recycling center. It’s not the most convienient thing to do, but it’s amazing to see how much we would normally throw away instead of recycling!

    24. Dina Kocsa says

      June 6, 2011 at 10:00 AM

We recycle everything, from cans and bottles to newspaper and cardboard. Items from around our home that we no longer want or need we donate to our local Good Will. We have switched over to “green” cleaning products. We use re-usable shopping bags ONLY. Every year, we plant a tree at our local park. We only use recycled materials in our landscaping. When I run errands, I plan to do quite a few at once, to save on emissions and gas. We turn off all electric appliances when not in use and unplug cords for things that are seldom used (to save on energy). I am sure there are more things we do, just can’t think of them right now.

Would love to win this because we only have well water where we live and this would make it possible for us to drink from our tap instead of buying gallons of water. Thanks so much! : )

I recycle but I must say that I end up with a lot of empty plastic water bottles at the end of the week. I can only drink water because I have medical issues with my kidneys. I do not have a filter system but I really wanted to try one and see how good they are. I’ve been buying water by the case when I see it on sale and I just stock up on it. It is a big hassle to buy it and bring it in the house by myself (very heavy). A filter would really be helpful.

I also save all my old coffee grounds from home and work to put in my garden that I grow and can all my veggies.. I also use the old fashion slop bucket instead of throwing away.

I also have placed two totes at work and have all my co-workers put their cans in there (I work at a hospital so we take all the patient’s cans too!) We recycle those cans for the money which was used to purchase nurse day gifts which was reusable shopping bags for all the staff members on the unit!

I recycle all our newspapers at home and from work.

Also looking into making pencil cases for children using old chicken feed bags (from our chickens) and capri sun bags and sending them overseas in care packages for our church.

We use lights only at night, limit shower time and my two boys (ages 5 and 1) always take baths together.

We always turn off our computer completely when not in use.

We do not keep pop in the house, me being a nurse I know not to keep sugar drinks and empty calorie drinks around. We all drink water, tea, and milk.

I will share your link on my facebook page and my coupon club facebook page!

I do basic things for the environment, like recycling cans/bottles, cardboard and plastic. I always bring my own bag to the grocery store. I drink water out of my Kleen Kanteen instead of buying bottled. I consolidate my errands instead of going out multiple times. I turn off lights when possible. I have a mini-fridge that is very very energy smart because it doesn’t use a compressor like most.

Please pick me! :) I’ve been eyeing Zerowater filters for the past few months. I’d really like one because my town heavily fluoridates the water and I don’t believe that’s healthy. Zerowater filters are the only filters on the market that remove fluoride and are affordable for most people and don’t require installation. I haven’t bought one yet because I’m too poor. :(

Not only am I greener than ever, but I’m teaching my kids the importance of protecting THEIR future home. We recycle, clean with only environmentally-friendly products. We turn of lights/fans when we leave the room and water when we brush our teeth. We unplug small applicances when not in use, and the TV/computer when we are out of town. We have bumped our A/C 2 degrees warmer than we used to keep it. We grow our own herbs and vacuum-seal frozen foods to reduce waste. I’m proud of my kids for taking these lessons to heart!

We are recycling at our house. In fact, my 3 year old daughter is in charge of our different bins. She loves it! We’ve also purchased a reusable water bottle for her and she thinks it is great. We talk about how important it is to use her bottle rather than buy lots of bottles and then throw them in the trash or in the recycle bin. This would be a great addition to our efforts to go green! ;)

we recently bought a much more fuel efficient car. my husband drives about 45 minutes to get to work(so not bicycle-fixable) and across state lines(so not public transportation-fixable) we are saving a small fortune on gas which is covering about 20% of the car payment!

we also recycle everything we can, unplug electronics when not in use and use the microwave and toaster oven so we don’t use the oven to burn electricity and heat up the house.

I subscribe to your emails. To be more friendly to the environment we recycle, so much that our recycle has to be taken out every day and our large bin fills faster than our trash. We also use our own reusable grocery bags, clean with green products and home made, keep our electricity down, walk wherever we can and so on. I liked you on facebook but closed my account so that I could spend less time on the computer. I would love this product to reuse and bottle healthy water. My husband often wants to buy water since we aren’t always sure of our water fron the city and with this I could bottle and have him use it more for work too.
