Tackle a little each day: Don’t set a day to deep clean the kitchen, set aside 10 minutes each day. After all, this is the area of the home you frequent the most. It’s also the area that gets the most activity. Even though in the evenings I wear the roll of cook, homework helper, bath giver, and more, I give the kitchen to myself assigning everyone else the other home tasks. This also bring a sense of organization and leaves rooms for things like candles and flowers which can immediately give a feeling of relaxation!
