This giveaway is closed. Congratulations, Laura R!

From early on as parents we realized our kids did not always like their toys.  Remote controls, phones, and ipods were the gadgets of choice – even at 6 months of age.   We have come from us, parents who lived in a generation of prehistoric computers, now to our children who are using gadgets at the same time of learning to walk. Technology has definitely evolved.

One of my favorite evolutions is technology that allows kids to have fun while still learning but engaging in cognitive thinking and other areas of the brain.  VTech’s MobiGo is a HOT item this season for just that. Geared toward children ages 3 to 8, this item retails at $59.99. These hot games include characters from Cars, Disney Princesses, Shrek, Toy Story and more! This gadget emulates kid’s parent’s technology.  With touch-activated screen and featuring games like Disney and Dora, kids can slide, flick, and tap their way to fun via colors, spelling, math, shapes and more. As if its use wasn’t easy enough, finding it is easy too. Sold in major retailers including Amazon, Toys R Us, Target, etc.

If VTech’s MobiGo doesn’t interest you, perhaps one of their other products from infants, to preschool to grade school might. Choose among their Jungle Gym Bike, V.Smile Motion, KidiZoom Camera, Bugsby Reading system and more. One of the features on their site I really enjoy is their product demo. I get frustrated at stores when I see a product in packaging that I cannot touch. Especially if I am paving the way and no friend’s kids have the product or me to demo. Online, you can get a clip sharing the different features of the products as if you were playing it yourself.

VTech is providing one lucky Frugal Coupon Living reader a MobioGo Touch Learning System and two games.

Guess what, for every 50 entries or comments or trackbacks on each of their posts, VTech will donate one product (up to three) to the Ronald McDonald House Charities! That means by entering, you are giving back!

Babies, Toddlers, Boys, Girls, Youth, and Adults. The joy from Hasbro can expands throughout generations. From exploration for babies to Family Night Games with adults, Hasbro has brought years of laughter and fun to millions of individuals.  With a one and two year old in my home, we are just in the beginning of the discovery and exploratory stages.  However, I can remember growing up nights of Monopoly, Scrabble and more.

This holiday season, I had the chance to try Playskool, Play-Doh, and Tonka.

First up, for the youngest crowd (ages 9+ months), the Explore ‘N Grow Musical Gear Center.  Spin, Drop, Whirl – Discovery!  Bright colors, fun sounds, toys in motion stimulates and engages your baby while uncovering cause and effect relationship.  Larger pieces for baby hands allow your child to play completely on their own. My 14 month old loved this. Of course, because my 1 year old wanted to play with it, my two year old did too. But it was something my youngest kept coming back to.

Next Up, Play-Doh Mega Fun Factory (ages 3+).  This is a little more mature than my little tikes but I decided to give it a whirl. My kiddos love Play-Doh, but discovering what is for the mouth and what is for play is still part of our every day lessons.  This conveyor belt takes Play-Doh to a whole other level. With 15+ molds, kids can wheel their Play-Doh down a moving belt to make pretend toys and treats in their workshop. Two thumbs up for an afternoon of discovery.

Finally, Tonka Mod Machines System DX9 Pickup (ages 4+). Raise this truck, lower this truck, crank it up, pull it back – customize it your way.  With tire options and a Tonka tool, your little handyman will be spending his time in the garage – the Tonka garage!  The DX9 pickup, is sold separately from it’s relative trucks, but as trucks are collected, some parts are interchangeable making the personalizing of your vehicle even more fun.  This price would make an excellent gift for a child’s party or a smaller holiday gift this season. Especially for the little man who enjoys racing, fast things, and hands on activity.

One Frugal Coupon Living winner will win all three Hasbro toys.

November 9, 2010 by Ashley at Frugal Coupon Living Filed Under: Giveaways, Holiday2010, Review, Win Giveaways

This giveaway is closed. Congratulations to Emily and Steve!

Do you have the earphone elf? The little man who roams secretly around the house misplacing earphones? While I do not truly believe we have an elf in our house, I must agree that earphones are constantly lost in our home…If not lost, then broken… If not broken and lost, then often very poor in quality.  Ear phones would also be the perfect gift for my husband who often finds himself listening to his iPhone in the car, over the radio.

If you are looking for the perfect product for someone who has everything, perhaps good quality earphones might be an excellent idea. With Denon’s single achievement goal being “to enhance the entertainment experience” they might make the perfect checkmark off your holiday shopping list.  While the technology behind these earphones is beyond my scientific understanding, blending physics, electronics, mechanical engineering, art and nature allow Denon to give buyers the perfect entertainment experience.

Two products made it to my door step for review. I noticed both products offered crystal clear sound and helped to eliminated outside noises. The styles were different, however, and would come down to a buyers preference – one being ear buds, another being headphones. Both were light weight and provided comfort.

The AH-D510R, from Denon’s Mobile Eliete series, had three buttons or externally controlling your iPod/iPhone. Also included on this model was a microphone for taking calls, and creating voice memos (if included on your particular gadget.)  The buttons also let you control volume, stopping, and playing features.  The head band and ear pads provided comfort for the pleasurable listening experience.  For more on the AH-D510R, click HERE.

The AH-C560R, also from Denon’s Mobile Eliete series, also includes the three buttons mentioned above. Play, Stop, Record, turn the volume up and more all remotely from actually touching your iPhone/iPod. Just like the revious model, the earphones have been designed to provide a pure sound quality. Features include oxygen free copper wiring, an acoustic optimizer system, and more. Different from the last, the AH-560R feature ear buds with four set of ear pads creating the perfect fit. The ear phones also come with a carrying case, keeping the pads from falling off and the piece from becoming lost or broken. For more on the AH-C560R, click HERE.

Denon is giving a set of Denon head phones to two Frugal Coupon Living readers.  One individual will win a Denon AH-560R  and the other the AH-D510R headphones.

Perhaps you can experience the earphone elf in a whole different way. With Denon earphones under your tree instead of lost in your home!  To purchase online, vist the Denon Head Shop.

For other chances to win, head to Denon’s Facebook page. Denon is celebrating their 100th Anniversary and rolling out an anniversary lineup of products AND giving away 1 set of headphones each day. Find the tab on FB for more information.

Note: Denon products can be found on Amazon, Best Buy, and Buy.com.

November 9, 2010 by Ashley at Frugal Coupon Living Filed Under: Giveaways, Holiday2010, Review, Win Giveaways

This giveaway is closed. Congratulations Chrystal, Tania and Susannah.

Oddly enough, since I left my full time job teaching and become a stay at home mom, I have never been so unorganized! Gone are the days of having all my dates on one calendar – now they can be found one of three places, the worse of them being on a post it note!

That is why momAgenda caught my attention and will hopefully save my 2011!  Files folders, sticky notes, agendas, honey-do list and more! MomAgenda is an excellent site for moms looking to fashionably organize themselves.  Best of all, the shell of products are not something you will have to replace every year. Simply buy from one the abundance of inserts that fit your needs to stay up to date with the new calendar.

I was able to give the momAgenda Personal Portfolio for a test drive. My first impression of the product was that it was fashionable. I already envisioned what I would put in each section and how this could soon replace many of the things tossed around inside my purse.  Besides the obvious calendar, the organizer had To Do lists, blank lined note pages, planning pages, tabs, and a ruler! The Mary Poppins handbook of organization!

One of the more unique items I saw on their site was School Years. Seen on the Today Show, it is a great way to capture moments for memories from your child’s k-12 years.  Room for images of art projects, graduation photos, and excellent report cards, the product comes in both large and small sizes – perfect for choosing what is right for you! If you prefer the resources and not necessarily the product, take a look at some of the FREE printable downloads.

One item in particular that might be a big blessing to mothers for 2011, is the momAgenda Desktop Planner.  Featuring a week at a view format, and space for a mom with up to four children, this is the ultimate organizer. Included in this 7”x9” planner are a monthly format view and momEssentials pamphlets.  Choose among 7 fun colors including Fuchsia, Zebra, Tangerine, Chocolate, Turquoise, Ruby, and True Purple – Very cute!

Right now momAgenda has their products marked at 30% off with FREE S&H. Sign up for their newsletter and get a 10% off code. What a beautiful combination – code, sale, and free shipping!

Frugal Coupon Living and Mom Agenda are giving away three Desktop Planners. What better gift for a mother than to start her off right on her New Year’s resolution – getting organized!

Closed. Holiday Giveaway – Big Toy Book $50 & Helicopter #wingiveaways

This post may contain affiliate links or ads. Read my privacy policy and disclosure policy here.

November 8, 2010 by FrugalCouponLiving Filed Under: Giveaways, Holiday2010, Kids, Win Giveaways

This giveaway is closed. Congratulations, Jamie!

The Big Toy Book  is a web site with all kinds of toys, apparel, etc. BUT it also has a members-only shopping community where you can get discounts of up to 70% off toys, games and more for kids!  Make sure to register for the members-only section to get these huge savings!  Then, when you go back to the site, make sure you scroll down to the bottom to log in and access the members-only private sale community.  Make sure to visit their Blog also for all kinds of tips and ideas.

Perfect for holiday and gift shopping, their limited-time sales feature huge savings on best-loved and up-and-coming toys and brands for kids! I have seen Disney, KidKraft, Seasame Street, and more!  So far this week, they’ve had Hello Kitty, Cars, Littlest Pet Shop and more!  Featured more toward the younger crowd with some items toward an older generation, the sales are irresistible!  They have various categories like Apparel/Gear, Toys & Games, Electronics, By Age, etc. to make it easier to find what you want.

They also offer $10 to your account for each friend you refer who becomes a member and buys!  How great is that!  AND if you like them on Facebook, make sure to visit each Friday for a ‘password’ that could get you freebies and exclusive savings just for that day.

One item that The Big Toy Book let me try out was their product geared toward that older group of kids – a helicopter. My husband is like a big kid when it comes to toys and the Interceptor R/C Indoor/Outdoor Flight Helicopter by Interactive Toy Concepts is no exception!  This remote control helicopter says it’s age-appropriate for 12 years + and I would have to agree because it is a little difficult to drive.  While it is an indoor/outdoor device, I would recommend using it outdoors as learning out to drive it is a bit difficult in the beginning. With two thumbs requiring the work, you don’t want to test drive it near your precious lamp. Note: You can get this on The Big Toy Book right now.

We liked that it charges via a USB cable directly into a USB port instead of using batteries, so you can plug it into your computer to charge!  A remote control helicopter like this would burn through batteries!  It takes about 60 minutes to charge for the first time.  There are two flying modes: Normal and Pro.  We used normal (because we don’t consider ourselves pros!) and it flew very smooth and easy, besides the driving difficulties I mentioned above.

All in all, this helicopter is tons of fun no matter your age!

Right now you can get your 70% discounted items with a nice little coupon code. Head to Big Toy Book and sign up now. Now you can get $10/$50 with promo code HolidayBash. Note this code is $10/$50 before tax and can only be used on the private sale store.

Frugal Coupon Living is giving a Helicopter and a $50 Gift Card to TheBigToyBook.com to one reader!

“If you like to talk to tomatoes, if a squash can make you smile, if you like to waltz with potatoes up and down the produce aisle…”

Then Have We Got a GIVEAWAY for You!!!

If upon reading the opening to this post, you didn’t start humming the Veggie Tales theme song, then you (and your child as well) are missing out! Veggie Tales is amazing! Veggie Tales is a brand that emulates the spiritual and moral fabric of society through creative media. Their videos give you the desire put everything aside, and sit and watch these educational, wholesome, and hilarious set of veggies solve their way through every day lessons.

We LOVE Veggie Tales at my house. So far our favorite is God Made You Special and Sweetpea Beauty (having two girls!)  It’s about the importance of focusing on inner beauty over external beauty.  All of their movies are wonderful and have such great messages.  We also love singing all the songs with Bob and Larry!

Did you know that there are 42 DVDs in the collection?  I can remember when the first DVDs began coming out. Of that collection some that I didn’t know about (well, a lot I didn’t know about from my days of baby sitting!) are Tomato Sawyer and Huckleberry Larry’s Big River Rescue or their newest one (right in time for Christmas): It’s a Meaningful Life – about being content.  The collection also includes the 4-DVD Set of the Complete Silly Song Collection – great fun for the car or dancing around the house with the kids!

Big Idea Productions launched Veggie Tales in 1993 with Where’s God when I’m S-Scared? and now, 17 years later, they have 42 DVDs and are recognized by kids and parents everywhere.

Big Idea is giving this set, valued at $558, to one lucky Frugal Coupon Living reader!
