With five kids (two of which are newborn twins), I often feel the motherly pull of needing to be there for everyone. One has homework at the dinning room table, another one wants me to hear her newest piano song in the living room, and yet a third is begging for his snack at the kitchen table. Wherever it is that I need to be, I have two premies I watch over that need to be with me.

With my first child, having her beside me was easily solved by carrying a large bouncy seat (or even swing) from room to room. Yes, I did move around that big bulky baby swing. With the second child, I adjusted having her baby “equipment” near my eldest daughter’s play area. With the third child, I often carried him in my arms or I kept him in a wrap/sling laying against my chest. Now having two at the same time, my hands are full and my solutions are limited. With the twins (children four and five) I really was out of ideas on how to keep them beside me as I went from room to room.
