I’m always looking for new books to add to my Kindle and read. I particularly like books that have been turned into movies because the fact that they were made into a film says to me that the books are really good. If you are looking for something new to read, too, here are some more Books that are Movies at Netflix.

The Trouble Begins: A Box of Unfortunate Events Books 1-3 are the first books in Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events. My husband and kids loved Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events on Netflix, so I need to tell him about this book!

How many of you loved the movie The Notebook?? You’re going to want to read the book because the books are always better! This is the perfect book to grab and read when you’re spending some you-time.

Love, Rosie is one of my favorite books. This is the of best friends Rosie and Alex, best friends since childhood who are separated when Alex moves. But, fate isn’t done with them. This is one that all of you love romances will want to grab.

If you’re looking for one that kids and adults will enjoy together, you’ll want to grab The Little Prince. This book is a PBS Great American Read Top 100 Pick and will capture the hearts of readers of all ages.

What would you do if every boy you had a crush on found out all at once how you felt about them? That’s what happens to 16-year-old Lara Jean in To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before. She writes letters to five boys she liked, pouring out her heart and soul, for her eyes only – until one day they get put in the mail.

And, the book The Stranger Beside Me is for all of you true crime lovers. This book is the inside story of serial killer Ted Bundy, which was made into the Netflix original The Ted Bundy Tapes.

Make sure you check out these Books that are Movies at Netflix!

Saw the 2018 Movie – Now Read the Book

Yesterday, we shared some books with you that are being turned into movies. Today, we have some books that you need to read that were released as movies in 2018.

We LOVED the movie A Wrinkle in Time. My daughter in particular was a big fan of it, so now I want her to read the book! If you haven’t read this one yet, you need to. It’s an incredible book.

Did any of you see Red Sparrow with Jennifer Lawrence and Joel Edgerton in theaters? This is the story of state intelligence officer Dominika Egorova has been drafted to become a “Sparrow” in Russia conflicting with the CIA agent to whom she is assigned.

I haven’t seen Crazy Rich Asians yet, but I’ve been dying to, and I am planning on renting it this weekend. Not only have I heard that the movie is great, but I’ve heard the book is amazing, too. I am definitely getting this book since the book is always better than the movie!

I have heard nothing but amazing things about the movie The Maze Runner, too. If you like edge-of-your-seat movies and books (like me!) you’ll want read this one to find out if the main character makes it through the maze outside where he’s being held alive.

Annihilation is the story of four women whose mission is to map the terrain, record all observations of their surroundings and of one another, and, above all, avoid being contaminated by Area X – an area that has been cut off from the rest of the continent for decades and no longer has human civilization. This book sounds so intriguing!

Every Day is the captivating story of the complexities of life and love in A’s world as A wakes up in a different body and a different life every day yet is still in love with the same girl.

Six Young Adult Books Going to Film

I always love it when books are made into movies, and the books always end up being better than the film version. If you’ve been looking for some new young adult books to read, here are Six Young Adult Books Going to Film!

Between Shades of Gray was turned into the movie Ashes into the Snow. This is the story of Lina, a Lithuanian girl, who is separated from her father and sent to a Siberian work camp along with her mother and brother where they have to fight for their lives.

If you love forbidden romance, you’ll want to read and see Five Feet Apart. This tells the story of two teens who fall in love but both have medical conditions and could risk their lives if they touch each other. This reminds me of an episode of Grey’s Anatomy, so I am totally putting this on my to read and see lists!

We’ll see a new Disney movie hit theaters when Artemis Fowl comes out. Read the book first so you’re ready to see the story of 12-year-old Artemis unfold on the big screen. Artemis is a millionaire, a genius and a criminal mastermind but he’s in for more than he expects when he kidnaps a fairy who turns out to be dangerous. This book is FREE for all of you with an Amazon Prime membership.

Do any of you remember the book Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark from when you were kids? The original timeless collection of chillingly scary tales and legends has been re-released with a new cover and is soon to be a feature film! This would be a great book to have to read for family campouts!

Little Women has always been one of my favorite books, and I am SO excited that it’s coming back to theaters in December! I am totally taking my daughter to see it. If you haven’t read this book before or if it’s been a while and you want to re-read, grab it and read it before the movie comes out!

The high school years can be really hard with kids wanting to fit in and be part of the popular crowd. Stargirl tackles the perils of popularity and the thrill and inspiration of first love in an emotional tale.
