In my 20s my beauty secret was Clean and Clear Astringent – I kid not, but now that I am in my mid to late 30s, I hate to share this new secret I swear by – Argan Oil.

I use it two ways… 1) face moisturizer at night 2) hair moisturizer. I don’t wash my hair daily but the night before I do, I cover my hair in Argan oil taking focus on dry ends. I swear by it! I use it as a face moisturizer, when there is excess on my skin (you can see my face moisturizer here).

I actually wash my hair once a week. Mostly on Friday. So Thursday, I load up my hair with Argan Oil. In a previous life, I washed my hair every other day, but I also blew it dry every time I washed it an flat ironed it daily. Now I flat iron it maybe 2 to 3 times a week (mostly just the front) and blow dry it never. I swear Argan Oil is my secret weapon for keeping my hair healthy and soft. I don’t think price really matters, to me the affordable works just as well, but here are two I’ve tried:

  1. PURA D’OR Organic Moroccan Argan Oil $12.99* for 4oz bottle
  2. Josie Maran 100% Pure Argan Oil $45.50* for 1.7oz bottle

Argan Oil restores elasticity, softens wrinkles and fine lines, heals dry scalp, and restores nutrient content to skin cells treating an array of skin conditions.   It is effective to treat all hair, scalp and skin types and gentle enough for daily use.

Right now, Amazon has Kate Blanc Cosmetics Moroccan Argan Oil as a lightning deal. It is an Amazon Choice product with a lot of ratings. I think I am grabbing it as my next bottle (again, I brand to me as not shown a difference, I just read to make sure it doesn’t smell awful!)
