Since the new year I have gained a few pounds. Gaining wait can be so frustrating and in my case, I don’t know why it came on. To knock off these extra pounds, I am running a few miles after the kids go to school each day and taking in a lot more water, as well as watching my diet. Did you know that when you are dehydrated, your body retains water which actually can make you bloat?

I decide to add some Essential Oils to my daily water intake. Research has shown these oils can add in detox, suppressing your appetite and boosting your metabolism.* Water also does a good job of delaying the next time I eat by making me feel full!

Ingredients:

20 drops Peppermint Essential Oil
20 drops Lemon Essential Oil
20 drops Tangerine Essential Oil
20 drops Grapefruit Essential Oil
20 drops Citrus Blend Fresh Essential Oil
20 drops Fennel Essential Oil
20 drops Endo Flex (Young Living) or Pine Essential Oil
21 Vegetable Capsules
1 Glass Jar
Optional: 20 drops Lime Essential Oil

Directions:

In a glass jar (I like one with a dropper) mix your essential oils

To Use:

Three times a day place 7 to 10 drops in a vegetable capsule.
Swallow the capsule with water.

This recipe yields about a 7 day supply.

Crock-Pot Baked Pasta Recipe

Here is an easy way to prepare your Italian Dinner. Make the morning off and enjoy coming up to an already prepared supper.

Ingredients:

1 lb Ziti or Rigatoni
2 24 oz jars Spaghetti Sauce
1 lb frozen pre-cooked Meatballs
2 cups Shredded Mozzarella cheese
Parmesan as desired

Directions:

Rinse uncooked pasta in warm water and allow to drain.
Pour 1/2 jar sauce on bottom of slow cooker.
Add 1/2 pasta.
Add 1/2 meatballs.
Add 1/2 jar sauce on top of meatballs.
Add 1 cup cheese.
Add remaining pasta, then remaining meatballs.
Add remaining Sauce, then cheese.
Cook on low for 6 hours.
Sprinkle with desired amount of Parmesan cheese before serving.
