I’m always looking for new books to read. Reading is one of my favorite things to when I’m relaxing. If you love to read, too, we found some books for you to read when you want to relax.
I love books about detectives, and The No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency sounds like a lot of fun to read. This book follows Precious Ramotswe, who is hired to track down a missing husband, uncover a con man, and follow a wayward daughter. But the case that tugs at her heart, and lands her in danger, is a missing eleven-year-old boy, who may have been snatched by witchdoctors.
Do you love the movie The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo? If you haven’t read the book, this would be a great treat for yourself. I haven’t seen this movie yet, but my husband’s been trying to convince me to. I guess I should read the book first!
I love Dan Brown books, and Angels & Demons was a great one. In this book, the Illuminati has now surfaced to carry out the final phase of its legendary vendetta against its most hated enemy—the Catholic Church. Who loves the Bridget Jones movies?? I do, and somehow I haven’t read the book Bridget Jones’s Diary. So, I definitely need to grab it to read in the evenings when I’m winding down. For those of you who haven’t seen it, this is a hilarious account of a year in the life of a thirty-something Singleton on a permanent doomed quest for self-improvement.
One of my favorite shows was Gossip Girl. If you loved it, too, grab the book to read when you have downtime. Gossip Girl fuels the drama on New York’s Upper East Side by watching everything and posting about what’s going on online anonymously.
The Harry Potter series is a great one to settle down with to read. They are some of my favorites. And, of course, you have to start with the first – Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone – in which he and his friends search for the Sorcerer’s Stone at Hogwarts.
