Everything is STILL AWESOME with The LEGO Batman Movie. This weekend my family and I had a chance to screen the latest movie. Still filled with the same spirit and fun as The LEGO® Movie, this movie did not disappoint. My husband and I loved the wit and dry humor that picked up from years of Batman, Robin and Joker movies. We both got the pun, not having seen many Batman movies in the past. My girls (ages 7 and 8) loved the silly and entertaining characters. They also loved the girl power displayed in the movie. Robin was a hoot and both girls just fell in love. The main focus what the battle between Batman and the Joker, but also a huge point was working together as a team or as a family. Additionally, we loved the focus of friends are family (and of course family are friends!) Through the emotions of a selfie, the journey is deep in this Batman adventure! Ten thumbs up from this family of 5!
In the irreverent spirit of fun that made “The LEGO® Movie” a worldwide phenomenon, the self-described leading man of that ensemble – LEGO Batman (Will Arnett) – stars in his own big-screen adventure. But there are big changes brewing in Gotham, and if he wants to save the city from The Joker’s (Zach Galifianakis) hostile takeover, Batman may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up.

In theaters Friday, February 10, 2017. See it in 3D, 2D and IMAX. This movie is rated PG for “rude humor and some action.” The running time is 104 mins.
