Just an fyi – Same as you, I had never shopped here before and wanted to see if the membership is worth it. I went yesterday to a Sam’s Club in Austin, TX and tried to shop as a non-member during this open house. They still insisted on charging me the 10% upcharge, so I left without buying the items. Not sure if the employees don’t know what they’re doing, or this store is not following the policy, but so far I’m just getting cut-and-paste non-responses from customer service online. I wasted a good chunk of my afternoon.
