I received VeggieTales Merry Larry and the True Light of Christmas DVD, VeggieTales The Ultimate Christmas Collection DVD, Veggie Tales Silly Songs with Larry DVD, and A Very Veggie Christmas Countdown boardbook for review. I barely had them out of the package and the kids were begging to watch them and see the book, as we are already avid VeggieTale fans already. They have definitely withstood the test of time – they have been around since 1993. Each episode is filled with Faith based lessons and positive moral encouragement.

Veggie Tales Merry Larry and the True Light of Christmas – is a story about Bob the Tomato and Larry the Cucumbers plans to make a huge splash for Christmas- with music, decorations, and the biggest light show ever! They are so wrapped up in making a huge celebration that they forget the true meaning of Christmas but are suddenly reminded by one little girls act of selflessness.
The story is narrated by Si Robertson ( Uncle Si) of Duck Dynasty fame- he plays a lovable mall janitor. We really enjoyed this story because as usual Big Idea Entertainment delivers a story that teaches sweet lessons while keeping kids entertained with fun and colorful characters.

VeggieTales the Ultimate Christmas Collection – literally packed with holiday fun! Two DVD’s that contain a total of 6 favorite Holiday movies, including; Christmas Sing-Along Songs- 10 Original Christmas songs, It’s a Meaningful Christmas, The Little Drummer Boy, The Toy That Saved Christmas, The Star of Christmas, and Saint Nicholas. Each a fun and original Christmas story is meant to bring lessons of Faith, contentment, the true Meaning of Christmas,and giving. We enjoyed these videos and recommend you add them to your Christmas classics library. As if that wasn’t enough to keep you amused and reinforce the True Christmas spirit this set also comes with a CD containing 25 favorite Christmas songs

Silly Songs with Larry – 20th Anniversary Edition. If you have been a fan of VeggieTales for awhile you know that each story includes a break where Larry the Cucumber performs silly songs with Larry. Just like it sounds he sings silly, nonsense songs about random things. This is a highlight of every episode for the kids and I. This video is PACKED with 35 of these songs. Making for fun sing a longs, and a lot of laughter. My personal favorites are His Cheeseburger and Love My Lips. This DVD also includes a karaoke version for each of the 35 songs for a twist on the fun!

A Very Veggie Christmas Countdown – A lift the flap board book. A 10 day Christmas countdown containing all your favorite VeggieTale characters, in which each page contains fun flaps to peek behind, including counting and seek and find activities. My little one and my older child are both enjoying looking behind each and every flap to see what is waiting there. I would say this is a great holiday book for ages 2-6.
