GUESS WHAT?!?! Frugal Coupon Living has reached it’s millionth visitor! And in order to celebrate, we have an exciting giveaway for you!

Recently, I was given the opportunity to review the NEW Britax Marathon CS in Emma. After reviewing THIS* shocking video, I was really excited to experience the car seat for myself. Pulling the seat from the box I noticed some things I liked immediately. The material is a soft, strong fabric (and cute.)  The sidding is cushioned, which will make it really comfortable for nice car ride naps.  The seat was very sturdy and not outrageously heavy.  I appreciated that the seat can be sized for a newborn baby all the way up to a child that is 65 lbs.  The installation was easy and adjusting the straps and fit were very straightforward.  It can be installed and secured by one person, which is wonderful.

Highlights of Britax include side impact protection, energy-absorbing foam lining, and a patented energy-absorbing versa-tether.  The new features of the Marathon CS include the Click and Safe Hardness Adjuster and the Roundabout 50 weight limit of 50 lbs.  For frugal shoppers who like nice, quality things, Britax has a great promotion running. Until December 31, 2009, if you buy BOTH a Britax Chaperone infant carrier and a Britax Chaperone stroller, you will get $100 back from Britax. Get the mail-in rebate form Here.

I am excited to annouce that one lucky Frugal Coupon Living Reader will get their very own Britax for FREE. The winner can choose between the New Marathon CS Here (in Crimson, Emma and Matrix) or the New Roundabout 50 Here (Berkshire Gray, Cowmoofalge, Onyx, Pistachio and Stonehenge.)

*Watch the video I mentioned Here. Perhaps it was my  hormones from just having had a baby, but I really teared up! It really gave me chills and reminded me of the importance of a quality car seat and also the importance of installation. Price can never be laid upon the life of your child. (Ally reminded me to share with you all, MANY local fire and police stations will install your car seat for FREE. My local police station does it every Wednesday morning at 10 a.m.)

I do not own a Britax but would love it. I have heard so much good stuff about them and the safety of a child cannot be measured. We were in a serious car accident when my first daughter was 6 weeks old. Her car seat flipped over because at the time we did not have the base.. Luckily it was strapped in correctly and she did not get hurt.

Sure could use a new car seat for a growing baby!

Kate Sasser November 14, 2009 at 1:50 pm

I am a big fan of Britax because right now I believe they are the only company with convertible carseats that are recommended by Consumer Reports and the book Baby Bargains. They are clearly very high-quality, but I would not otherwise be able to affor them. Thank you so much for doing this giveaway! I just discovered your site today, and I am a BIG fan! Because of you, I just saved a bunch of money at my local grocery stores! Thank you so much for helping my family stay in our budget and save money!

I do not currently own a Britax, but was looking to buy one for my daughter who just turned 2 Friday. We are in search of a new car seat to replace the one she has because even though I like the looks of her current car seat, it does not install into our vehicle very well and moves around a great deal. We have taken it to get it installed at our local fire dept and they also couldn’t get it so that it wouldn’t move so much. I am hoping that soon we will be able to replace that seat but the Britax’s no matter how nice are just a little out of $$ range at least until I can save up.

Laurie L. November 15, 2009 at 12:00 pm

I have never owned a Britax, but would love to have one. I think the biggest “pro” to me is that they’re made to fit every child from infant to toddler. It cuts out the need to have three or four different ones as your child grows.

Elizabeth Sloman November 15, 2009 at 1:42 pm

I do not own a Britax – I wish I could afford one, but by the time I could save the money to buy this seat my child(ren) would be out of it! I’m a mom of 5 and have always loved Britax seats both for their patterns and their ease of use (have many friends who have them).
Probably my favorite is how easily they install. Literally takes MINUTES and can be done by one person (even just momma – no daddy needed for this install). I used to move my friends sons all the time between my car and her car when we’d go somewhere for the day or something.
What a great giveaway though for some lucky momma or grandmomma!
I can only HOPE it is me so I can have one for one of my two smallest that would still fit into it (a 3.5 year old girl or my almost 1 year old son who just got sisters handme down convertible seat).
I’ve followed on twitter and fanned on facebook!!!! Plus subscribed (needed to do that anyhow as I just came across your site due to the Hasbro TRU game deal)
