Description

Hosting family or friends this Thanksgiving or Christmas season? This Fall Simmer Pot Recipe comes with both stovetop and Crock-Pot directions. Only five minutes to prep this homemade potpourri!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 orange, cut into chunks
  • 1 apple, cut into chunks
  • 1 sprig rosemary
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • Water

Instructions

Stovetop Instructions:

1. Place all ingredients in a saucepan. Fill your saucepan with water. The water line should be about 1 to 2 cm about your ingredients.
2. Place the sauce pan on the stovetop and bring to high heat. Do not allow the water to boil. Once you see the first sign of a bubble, immediately, lower  your temperature to low allowing the water to simmer.
3. Add more water to the pan as needed. This will be necessary the longer you cook.
4. Discard ingredients after use.

Crock-Pot Instructions:

1. Place all ingredients in the bowl of the slow cooker. Fill your Crock-Pot with water. The water line should be about 1 to 2 cm about your ingredients.
2. Turn the slow cooker on high and allow to cook with the lid off.
3. Add more water to the slow cooker as needed. This will be necessary the longer you cook.
4. Discard ingredients after use.
