Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ tablespoon olive oil

For the Garlic Butter Sauce:

  • 4 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • ½ teaspoon soy sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, eggs, breadcrumbs, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, salt, garlic powder, and onion powder. Use your hands to work the ingredients into the meat, then separate the meat mixture into four equal mounds. Press each ball of meat into a thick patty.
  3. Prepare the butter sauce by stirring together the butter, garlic, and soy sauce.
  4. Heat a cast iron skillet over medium heat and brush with olive oil.
  5. Place the patties on the skillet and brown each side, around two minutes per side.
  6. Place one tablespoon of butter mixture on top of each patty and transfer the pan to the oven to bake for 20 minutes, until the patties are cooked through.

Notes

Want to prepare and freeze ahead? Prepare the patties and freeze in a tightly sealed container in the freezer up to 6 months. Dethaw and cook on a skillet or on a grill top. Prepare the butter garlic sauce the day off.
