Giveaway -Robeez 3D Animal Shoez or Booties

by Frugal Coupon Living on September 1, 2010

I was able to take a look at Robeez NEW 3D animal shoes when I attended BlogHer in NYC this past August. They had the cute Moose shoes, perfect for the upcoming season.  Recently, I received a pair of the Robeez 3D Little Lamb shoes in vanilla. First of all, they were so precious! I can’t wait for the air to cool so I can put them on my youngest. Second, I noticed how well made and comfortable they appeared. If having lambs on my feet were socially acceptable and they made them big enough for me, I would likely wear them all the time as well. Instead, I will choose to live vicariously thorough my 12 month old!

I have spoken before how one thing I put money toward in my kids wardrobe is their shoes. My kids can wear the same shoes all the time as long has the support their growing feet. I had my oldest wear one pair of shoes last spring for almost 3 months straight.  They were good for adding socks or wearing bare and were a color that matched all of her clothes.  Whether you have a 6 month old (in Robeez) or a 5 year old (in Stride Rite) the company has something for each of your children’s feet.

What makes Robeez so perfect for young one’s feet?

1.) Thier shoes can be worn on a child aged 0 to 4

2.) Skid (or some with Water) Resistant Sole

3.) Easy Stay on Backing

4.) Comfort

5.) Made with the softest suede and the highest-grade leather

6.) Currently Running – FREE S&H wyb 2 pairs!

Robeez is giving one reader a the new and adorable 3D Mini Shoez (Lamb or Zebra) or Booties (Bunny or Moose.)

Zenni Optical Glasses

by Frugal Coupon Living on August 30, 2010

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Zenni Optical. All opinions are 100% mine.

Update: My NOT SO FRUGAL husband keeps telling me how great his new glasses are!

“Where are my glasses?” is a common phrase heard in our home – not from me of course but from my husband. I am always fearful about him losing his one and only pair of eye glasses as it would be one more expense we would have to encounter. Given the opportunity to pick him up another pair at Zenni Optical, I jumped at the chance.

Zenni Optical is an online prescription eye glass and sunglass retailer. Having accompanied him many times to the eye doctor (when we first were married) I have grown to know how expensive glasses are, sometimes just the lenses can add most of the expense. That is why I was surprised to see how little glasses were on Zenni Optical. We searched the pages of the site. For each frame they had the complete measurements of the frame to know which glasses would fit for his wider physic (head). I think we could have saved a bit of time if there was filter that let us going to the glasses for “larger” heads in the beginning. Selecting the elements of the prescription, the frames, and the final product were really easy. Grand total $47! WOW. I remember once picking up a frame and pair of lenses for him for close to $300 (yes, prior to kiddos!)

Receiving the glasses I was pleased. The glasses were as they appeared on the site. I appreciated the spring on the legs too, they went beyond the normal 90 degree angle, perfect for putting them on your face or having kids pull on them.

Next time you are in need of frames, consider Zenni Optical. Forget wasting your time in the store.

Hampton_logo

When asked to discover more about Hampton Hotels, I decided to check with the man who has done many of nights in hotels living out of a suitcase, my husband. Two thumbs up was his immediate response. He said the Hampton, part of the Hilton Hotel and Family, lives to the Hilton name. When asked to describe the brand in a couple of key words, what immediate came to mind was consistent, comfortable, and familiar. One of the best things about Hampton Hotel is that you always know what you will get when you check in – courteous staff, clean rooms, and a welcoming environment.

Hampton Hotels is currently running the Hampton Chain of Friends Sweepstakes.  This is an opportunity for you to perhaps plan a fun vacation with friends (some of my husband’s and my fondest memories are going out of town with friends.) Sunday Afternoon Enchiladas

by Frugal Coupon Living on August 24, 2010

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Mission Foods. All opinions are 100% mine.

Recently, I got to enjoy a package of Mission Flour Tortillas.  Mission Flour Tortillas contain 0 grams of trans fat per serving and are cholesterol free. Mission’s flour tortillas are available in small (6″), medium (8″) and large (10”) sizes in major grocery stores nationwide. I must say that tortillas are some of my favorite foods – I love them for breakfast with eggs and cheese, for lunch with lunchmeat and veggies and for dinner with various Mexican recipes.  They are cute too for kids lunches – use a cookie cutter to make a cute sandwich or make pinwheels for some excitement. I also appreciate how they tend to last longer than bread.

I decide to feed my family a rather large enchilada meal. The recipe called for 10 enchiladas. When I opened the package, first I realized two had been stolen by my husband who had an afternoon craving for a ham and cheese (so they make good sandwiches too!) Second, I realized how surprisingly soft and fresh they felt. I wanted to steal one too for me, but that wold cause us to be down to seven enchiladas! I made the recipe on a Sunday afternoon – it is usually when I make my larger meals. I must say, though, that this was an easy and quick recipe for a weekday too.

Enchiladas
2 lbs ground beef
1 small can of green chilies
1 pkg of taco seasoning
16 oz sour cream
2 cans cream of chicken
1 8oz bag of shredded cheddar cheese
1 pkg of Mission flour tortillas (I use 10 ct)

Brown ground beef and drain the juice. Add the taco seasoning according to package directions. Mix the seasoned meat with half of the chilies. Stir and set aside. In a bowl mix sour cream, cream of chicken and the rest of the chilies. Add half the mixture to the bottom of a 13×9 greased dish/pan. Place the seasoned meat on a the tortillas, roll, and place individually on top of the sour cream mixture. Once all the tortillas are on the plan, place the remaining half of the sour cream mixture on top. Place cheddar cheese on top and cook for 25 minutes in a preheated oven at 450 degrees.

Check out Mission – Back To School examples of quick and easy, kid-friendly back-to-school meals using Mission Flour Tortillas. for Happy cooking and enjoy!

Giveaway – Mineral Hygienics

by Frugal Coupon Living on August 24, 2010

I have become a recent fan of mineral makeup. I noticed about a year ago when I got my first feel, that it does an amazing job of hiding flaws but still keep my face looking like it is free of much make up – in other words, very natural. My experience with mineral make up has been more of trying it out and not necessarily knowing the “science” behind it.

Recently, I was given the Mineral Hygienics challenge. Mineral Hygienics asked me to go online and choose my color pallet. There were six color choices to choose from and I went with the medium. I loved that each color had a celebrity of comparison so I could tell where my best color choice would be. When I got the make up, I was pleased with a few things 1.) The brushes – I believe in good quality brushes for make up. It makes all the difference. 2.) The arrangement of colors for blending, seasonal change, and darkening certain areas (places you face should look sun kissed , i.e. your forehead, cheeks, etc.) 3.) The feel – this make up was weightless! The make-up looked great, even my husband commented. It also wasn’t greasy, was easy to apply, and was still on end of the day. I can say, that I did run into a problem, though. I felt the color was light for my skin. When I spoke with the contact, I had two additional colors sent my way so that my face was not so pale

Now a days, I learned that many mineral makeups can have up to 10 to 20 ingredients. Mineral Hygienics only has four – the lowest in the industry! In addition Mica and Iron Oxide, most of their mineral products are made from Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide. Both products highly regarded to be the best form of protection from sun. To top off Mineral Hygpencis promises, they also have a 45 day Money-Back Guarantee. If you don’t like their make up, return it for a full hassle free refund!

Mineral Hygienics wants one lucky Frugal Coupon Living reader to take the challenge with a beginner’s kit of their own.

To Enter the Giveaway:
You can enter up to four times – that would mean, leave one to four comments. You do not have to enter more than once but you DO have to complete the first entry to enter with choices two through four.

It seems like all of a sudden, after 6 years of using our skillets (and pots), we finally managed to destroy not one; but two of the smaller/medium sized skillets that are the most useful, of course!  That left us with a stainless one (not non-stick!), an iron one (can’t use that for everything!) and a huge one – not exactly ideal for an omelet or anything small in nature.  So, I decided to turn to CSNStores.com again to see what I could find. Remember my post about them?

I began my search with saute pans or skillets and got 738 results that could then be narrowed by brand, type (non-stick, hard-anodized, etc.), price, review rating, etc.!  That made it really easy to narrow it down.  They have all the huge brands and some you may not have heard of before; but the reviews really help to make a decision.  A lot of them offered FREE shipping and we chose to go with that option; but still got a good set of two hard-anodized Calphalon skillets for just $50!  They arrived at our door in no time and we have definitely put them to use in our daily cooking once again!

Don’t forget to check out CSN‘s 200 stores for anything around the house the you may need.  They’ve got a great selection, great customer service and great prices!

Disclosure: All opinions expressed are my own and should not be substituted as yours. The skillets were purchased as a a review with CSN store credit.

1-800-Flowers and Someone Special

by Frugal Coupon Living on July 19, 2010

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of 1-800-Flowers. All opinions are 100% mine.

Have you ever heard of Justin Bieber? If so you might have a teenage girl in the home who has a big crush. Justin Bieber is a young teenage sensation who went from you tube videos to selling out major concert locations. He rose to fame over night. One popular song Justin has put out is “One Less Lonely Girl”, also the name of his tour. Justin and 1-800-Flowers have teamed up and during each of his concerts, he is offering a lucky girl on less lonely girl a CD, scarf and bouquet of red roses.  Goodness, I am sure her face ends up as red as those roses from blushing!

Your little princess might not be front row and center at Justin Bieber’s next conference, she might not be called to the stage, but she can also be “one less lonely girl” with these new bouquets at 1-800-Flowers.  Choose between 12 to 24 roses all adored with a Justin Bieber CD and scarf from $39.99 to $99.99.

If you know me, one of my gifts is the gift of giving. It is one of the ways I share I am thinking of you or I care for you. My favorite times to give something to someone are when there is no special occasion. I love to catch people of guard with something that represents them!  With credit I received to 1-800-Flowers, I bought a small Serene Green bouquet. Filled with Gerbera daisies, Lilies, and Daisy Poms I picked one up for my cousin and her fiancee.  Their wedding was a week away and I wanted them both to know that we were thinking about them and we couldn’t’ wait for the big day!  No special occasion today, simply an “I am thinking of you.”  The flower delivery was very easy too – next day delivery for she same S&H fee!

Who would you adorn with a bouquet of flowers?

Closed. Giveaway – Breyers Ice Cream Bars and Sandwiches

by Frugal Coupon Living on July 19, 2010

This giveaway is closed. Congratulations goes to Courntey, Katy P, Lori S, and Colleen.

Do you tend to hide food from your spouse or kids. I admit, I do! Behind the boxed macaroni or in the freezer behind the frozen vegetables, my family doesn’t know where my secret stash is kept. I can only get away with it so long until my husband sees me pull something out and asks, “where is mine?”

My most recent treasure was Breyers Smooth & Dreamy ice cream bars and sandwiches. Temperatures are rising and my desire for something cooler has been growing. Breyers bars and sandwiches actually come in six yummy flavors. Choose among…

Chocolate Caramel Brownie
Vanilla Caramel Chip
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
Chocolate Covered Strawberry
Vanilla Fudge Brownie,
Triple Chocolate Chip (my favorite!)

Not to bad on the budget (compared to going to your local ice cream shop) they are actually not to bad on the belt as well.  Each of the natural ice cream bars/sandwiches is 160 calories or less and contains 4 to 6g of fat per serving! Maybe that means I can have seconds!

Head HERE to play the Wheel of Delights. You might win a Breyers prize/discount. You can play three times a day and the grand prize is $10,000!  Other prizes include a Day at the Spa, Movie Tickets, A Mani/Pedi and more!

Right now, four lucky Frugal Coupon Readres are going to receive a coupon for a FREE reyers Smooth & Dreamy ice cream bar or sandwich of their choice!

This giveaway is closed. Congratulations, Peggy.

This curling iron rates #2 on Flat Iron Experts list of Best Curling Irons – and I believe it! The Babyliss Tourmaline Ceramic Curling iron (valued at $120) emits negative ions and far-infrared heat that brings a number of additional benefits to your hair:  It eliminates static electricity, neutralizes odors, preserves more moisture within the hair shaft and causes less damage to the hair cuticle.  The Babyliss curling iron comes with 40 adjustable heat settings up to a scorching 428 F – perfect for all hair types. Two other great benefits of choosing this curling iron is the 2-year warranty and the fact that this curling iron is Dual Voltage, meaning you can use this curling iron any where around the world while you travel!  You can’t say that for most other curling irons.

What is Ceramic Technology? Ceramic plates evenly distribute heat and retain heat to preserve moisture within one’s hair. What is Negative Ion Technology? A technology almost too difficult to place into words. Basically the atoms help to reduce static electricity, deliver shinier and sleeker results, and keep volume and plumpness in your hair.

I must say that I’m a little skeptical of a lot of curling irons because my hair just does not hold the curl very long at all!  But, this one heated up QUICK and the curls lasted all day.  And, I promise they are prettier curls than I’ve ever gotten from other curling irons!  I am no stylist – I always joke that if my hair stylist could just fix my hair every morning, it would always look gorgeous; but I have never been that great at styling my hair.  This curling iron made it look like I knew what I was doing – now that’s good!

Features of the Babyliss Tourmaline Ceramic Curling iron:

* 5 barrel sizes available
* Unique POP-IN/POP-OUT temperature control
* Ultra-powerful heaters that provide fast, steady maximum temperatures
* Instant heat recovery
* 40 heat settings
* Heats up to 428F(220C)
* Slim rubberized handles
* Tourmaline/Ceramic closes the hair cuticle resulting in smooth, glossy hair.
* Tourmaline/Ceramic plus heat emits NEGATIVE IONS which eliminate static electricity and neutralize odors and bacteria.
* Tourmaline/Ceramic barrels retain heat more efficiently, distributes it more evenly and eliminates damaging hot spots.
* Tourmaline/Ceramic radiates faster drying FAR-INFRARED HEAT, which dries hair from the inside out, preserving more moisture within the hair shaft and causing less damage to the hair cuticle.
* Extra long, heavy duty swivel cord
* Dual Voltage
* Two year warranty

Make sure to check out all the Best Curling Irons and Best Flat Irons too.   Flat Iron Experts has a wide arrangement of items for your hair.  Use the code VIPSALE for 15% off everything!  Plus, any order of $75 or more gets FREE shipping and any order of $100 or more gets 3 FREE items: KQC Mini Ceramic  Travel Flat Iron, KQC Heat Pouch and KQC Shine Spray.

Flat Iron Experts wants to give YOU the opportunity to try out this nice little number yourself. One lucky Frugal Coupon Living reader will take home the Babyliss Tourmaline Ceramic Curling iron in the barrel size of your choice.
