I am always excited when I am able to share with you the neat products from the Perricone MD line. The latest is the Nutritive Cleanser. As described on Perricone MD’s site, the Nutritive Cleanser is gentle enough to be use daily. It washes away impurities without stripping skin of its natural oils. It’s formulated with DMAE and Alpha Lipoic Acid, ingredients that not only provide anti-aging benefits, but also reveal a brighter and smoother skin surface, leaving it looking radiant and perfectly prepared for treatment. It is also Paraben-free.
Dr Perricone’s products are found at Sephora, The Skin Store, and even on QVC (just to name a few.) The well know and well respected places this product is sold show how popular and respected these products are in the skin/beauty community. Some reviews describe the Nutritive Cleanser as being lightweight, non-greasy, with a great smell. One individual said it helped fade brown spots on their face. From personal use, I found I didn’t need to load a large amount into my hands to get clean skin. It left my face feeling softened and soothed. It also removed make up very well.

I recently found a new baby food, Plum Organics, that I was really excited to try in our home. When completing my diapers.com order (I told you about HERE.) I was very impressed by the packaging, flavors, and amount. So impressed, I wanted to share it with you guys!
What is Plum’s Promise?
•always certified organic
•always nutrient rich
•no high fructose corn syrup
•no trans fats
•no artificial ingredients
•BPA-free packaging
I am personally a fan of flavor, especially a fan of flavored mixed foods. Plum Organics offered this very thing – a exciting mix of flavor. Some of the baby food flavors that caught my attention were Spinach, Peas, and Pears as well as Sweet Potato, Corn and Apple. Also they come in these neat little pods that are easy for squeezing out of the container. They have neat little pods for tots to squeeze out in different fun fruits as well as Fiddlesticks and Fruity Fingerfuls. Lucianna got to try the pods and the Fiddlesticks and she loved them! I felt good as well knowing she was eating food that was good for her and food she enjoyed (sometimes it is hard find a combination of both!)
I honestly was not aware of the many different places that Plum Organics was sold. Just to name a few, Plum Organics is sold at Diapers.com, Publix Greenwise, Amazon, and Babies/Toys R Us – there should be an available resource for you anywhere.
Plum Organics is offering a lucky Frugal Coupon Living reader a Plum Pod for them to sample. This pod will be perfect for your little tot (or a friend’s toddler.)

Confession Number 113 – I used to iron my hair with a clothes iron.
I have very coarse hair – Half Cuban and half Italian, my hair twists and turns, and loves to frizz at the slightest hint of humidity. In college, my roommate would iron my hair with a clothes iron. I was amazed with how flat my hair would get, but all the while I was killing my hair – basically I was producing flat, dead hair! Knowing when I got married, my husband wasn’t going to take on this task (despite his vows for better or for worse) I began the cycle of trying every hair iron on the market…and was still searching.
Also in my beloved box was something really unique – a personal $50 blank check! When I opened up an envelope, I was touched by its purpose. I was able to make this check out to ANYONE I wanted. I was entrusted by Misikko to make a wise choice of where my check would go. It could be a charity to support Haitian Relief or it could be a neighbor who was going through difficult financial times – talk about paying it forward. In fact, anyone who makes a Hana Appliance purchase from now until 2/28 will get a check to write to their personal charity or pay-it-forward case.
Of the many things Misikko has to offer, a few that caught my eye:
*Pure ceramic never peels and is superior at heat distribution, retention, and far infrared conditioning. Naturally hygienic.
* Floating plates auto-adjust to glide over any texture.
* Flash heats from 140 – 450 degrees for all hair types.
*No slip-grip: heavy duty swivel cord with hanging loop.
* Can flatten hair, create soft curls, flip hair out or even in.
Misikko is also giving Hana Professional Flat Iron 1″ (retail $204.99) to one lucky Frugal Coupon Living reader – I know you will be a thrilled as I!

We call them pretties, you might call them something else – but nothing says girlie more than painted nails!
Recently, I was introduced to Piggy Paint. Piggy Paint is a nail polish for your little girl that is as natural as mud. Recenlty rewarded an excellence Award from Safbaby.com, these polishes are made from all natural ingredients. They include a low odor, water-based formula, are hypoallergenic, include fun and vibrant colors, dry quickly, and best of all are non-toxic. Becoming popular fast, this past summer, Piggy Paints was actually featured at Tori Spelling’s daughter’s first birthday party as a nail polish station. What a cute concept!
I must say my favorite quality, besides the non-toxic ingredients, was how quickly it dried. Painting a one and half year olds toes is quite a task but it was very easy with how quickly it dried. If you are interested in giving them a try yourself, anyone who makes a purchase from Piggy Paint, can use the code FRUGAL10L for 10% off ANYTHING. This code expires April 30, 2010. To make this code even better, shipping is FREE when you spend $25 (until February 28th.) Beginning March 1, you will need to spend $35 for FREE shipping.
One item that caught my eye was the Cancer Pack for $17.98 – 10% of sales go to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
Piggy Paints is kind enought to give TWO LUCKY Frugal Coupon Living Winners will get their own $15 unique code to buy ANYTHING from their store.
Look for a big announcement from piggy paints coming in March!
With Piggy Paints, now your little girl’s piggies are ready to go to the market anywhere.

How would you love a unique, adorable, affordable Valentine Gift (which you don’t have to wrap or deliver?!?)
I was introduced to Sock Grams actually from one of you guys – a reader! The concept is simple. Basically you pick the pair of socks and send it to the recipient you desire. The Sock Gram includes a pair of socks a FREE foot balm (or stickers for the kids). The gift is wrapped and delivered right to their mailbox.
I got my Sock Gram this week and though the socks were adorable, well made, adn such a unique gift. I honestly was REALLY impressed with the concept and thought you might as well, especially as the Valentine Season approaches. During these smaller holidays, we want our friends and family to know we are thinking of them, but we don’t want to be spend an arm and a leg buying them what we find to be the perfect gift. Instead, I think you might find it in Sock Grams.
Do you wear socks? Does your child wear socks? Does your cousin wear socks? How about your aunt, your co-worker, or even that neighbor that has helped you out recently? I think we can all agree that EVERYONE wears socks. Maybe not every day, but enough to say that we own a pair!

New Year’s Resolution: Getting Organized/Saving Money
I first told you about the Coupon Magic Organizer HERE when I shared with you how to organize your coupons. The Coupon Magic Organizer incorporates one of the more popular ways to organize your coupons. This particular method uses baseball card/photo inserts to organize your coupons by type. This makes navigating your grocery store easier than if you had all the inserts placed in a binder together. I was very impressed when I got my coupon organizer. Tania from Coupon Magic Organizer has truly done the hard set up work for you!
There are many pros to this type of organizing.Bascially it isorganization at its best. If done right, this system is very orderly and neat. It makes the coupons easy to navigate for finding a type of coupon you need.
Additional Pros…
When a coupon is about to expire you can see that immediately.
All your coupons are in one place.
All the “extra” paper in the Sunday inserts are recycled or thrown away. You do not have an abundance of extra weight due to paper that is not needed.

General Mills recently announceda commitment to further reduce sugar in cereals advertised to kids under 12 to single digit grams of sugar per serving. In replacement, key nutrients, such as calcium and vitamin D, and whole grains will be increased! A chart on General Mills website shows that ready-to-eat cereals, including presweetened cereals, account for only 5% of sugar in children´s diets. That is comforting to me as a mother!
A 1998 study showed that – compared to children who skip breakfast – those who ate breakfast:
*performed better at school
*recorded higher test scores
*reduced absenteeism and tardiness
The cart below, I found very interesting as well. Makes me want to make a second guess when running through the drive-through for myself (or even my child.)
In addition, further studies show kids who eat cereal in the morning are less likely to be overweight and typically consume less fat and cholesterol. You can see this information and more HERE in the Cereal and Health section on the General Mills website.
Recently, I was given the opportunity to sample General Mills Cereal for my family. Honey Nut Cheerios and Lucky Charms were my cereals of choice! There is nothing like having marshmallows in your cereal to make you feel like a kid again! As my husband would vote on cereal as a meal 24/7 (over a pot roast or any other labor intensive meal), the two choices of cereal were very popular in my home. It was also comforting to know that someone other than myself (meaning General Mills) is concerned about my family’s sugar intake. Currently in the process, but not yet on the shelf, a reduced sugar cereal!
If you are interested in taking the General Mills challenge, right now you can go HERE and get a $1 off coupon.
As well, two lucky Frugal COupon Living readers are going to win a coupon for a FREE box of General Mills Cereal (up to $6 in value so you can get the REALLY big ones.) The oupon expires 12/31/10.

“Dora Dora Dora the Explorer
DORA
Boots is super cool
Explore with Dora (We need your help)
Grab your backpack
Lets Go!
Jump In!
Vamonos!
You can lead the Way…”
If the tune to Dora The Explorer is flowing in your head, you might understand why I have found the most adorable book/keepsake for your little toddler! Shutterfly has a collection of CenterStage Products that are personalized for each child. Your child can find their photos in adventure books and posters. Choose from Go, Diego, Go!, Dora the Explorer, SpongeBob SquarePants, Sesame Street, Disney and Hasbro.
Shutterfly gave my family the opportunity to experience the CenterStage Book with Dora and Lucianna’s Rescue Adventure. I found making this book as easy as one, two, three (take out three.) Literally. I uploaded my photo to Shutterfly, cropped to to show only her face area and DONE!
When I saw the book, I was impressed with the quality. It is a hard cover book with smooth pages and is very sturdy and well made. The binding is great. When Lucianna saw the book, her eyes lit up and she kept pointing to Dora and herself shouting Dora’s name (I do realize we have set our child up for failure ever being able to say her own name.) It was so neat and cute to open the book and see our little Lucianna riding on a horse or soaring in a hot air balloon. You can imagine how this quickly became a favorite nighttime read – and with Dora’s morals and exciting adventures, what mother (or even father) could complain?
The nice thing about this book (I do realize the excitement of characters come and go) is that I have a keepsake of a special time in Lucianna’s life. A time when Dora was a fascination, when I found myself singing the tune to Dora at the strangest times – like in the checkout line at my grocery store. A time when I wanted nothing more than to watch ANOTHER show other than Dora the Explorer, a period when Dora was the coolest individual on earth – next to her mom and dad. So in addition to a neat keepsake of a time that would usually remain as a memory in ones head, I imagine how neat it would be to hand this book down to Lucianna’s children.
Well if you have yet to start an account with Shutterfly and take a look at their CenterStage products, now is a better time than ever. Currently, when you sign up you get 50 FREE prints Here. With Shutterfly, you get FREE, unlimited picture storage and you can even pick up prints at Target locations – so this is a photo service in which you can save on shipping!
Note: I have heard the code ten4you is working on some accounts to get $10 off your purchase. Expires 12/23/09.
Disclosure: I was not compensated by Shutterfly in any way. I was provided with a CenterStage Book for review. All opinions expressed are my own and should not be used as your own personal opinion.
